00:18Well, I mean, before we get to the entire recap of the episode, I feel we kind of have to

00:22the midseason trailer. Oh my goodness. Yeah. I mean, that was crazy. It's a love rectangle
00:28of sorts. It's Ariana with Hudson, Charlie, and Liam. Yeah, it's very Mamma Mia.
00:35So crazy. Here we go again. I know. Very, very crazy. And I mean, VRT did get the little exclusive
00:41scoop that Ariana and Charlie did, in fact, hook up because it kind of was like, when we saw the
00:46midseason trailer, we were like, no, I'm not choosing to believe that because I was just so
00:52outlandish to me. I was like, how did Charlie and Ariana get to there? We found out they got to
00:58there and we're going to watch how they get to there. Yeah. You can tell Riley's a little pissed
01:01about it. Yeah. Rightfully so, too. Right. Yeah. I think Riley is rightfully miffed. She and Charlie
01:08have had their downs and downs. Right. No, certainly. I don't know if there were ups. No ups at all
01:13during
01:13their relationship. Now, she and Ariana had been close. They're kind of going through an interesting
01:19friendship situation right now where the friendship isn't as strong as maybe they thought
01:23it was. And so I don't think that Ariana's decision to hook up with Charlie is going to
01:28make matters any better in the Riley department. However, you know, we do support Ariana's
01:35using her willpower. She's just a girl, as she said on TikTok. Right. So I think she is
01:41kind of just, you know, having some fun. And, you know, before I think she is back with
01:46hot sun now, but I'm not sure. But I feel like she was kind of just, you know, getting out
01:50and
01:50about. And it's funny because Charlie was the one who didn't want her hooking up with Liam
01:54because it was rude to Hudson. Right. So I'm really can't wait to see how we got to Charlie
02:00can do it, though. Well, just yeah, obviously. And also all these people saying all these like
02:03Ariana gets to decide who and what she wants to hook up with. Charlie obviously doesn't
02:08subscribe to BroCode, but he very much was a proponent of following BroCode, which is
02:13really confusing, but also kind of on brand for Charlie. Yeah. To just kind of do something that
02:19makes you scratch your head and ask yourself, why do you suck? I know. But, you know, I mean,
02:24I guess there is something of Charlie we don't see because Amira, this episode was able to
02:30forgive Charlie rather quickly. Even the producers were sort of like, do you think you gave him just
02:35a free pass too fast? Do you think that you might be letting Charlie off the hook too easy?
02:41There's only so many times that I'm going to continue to forgive this kind of behavior.
02:46Which Amira said maybe, but she said you don't get that many strikes with her.

02:50That I think he is on thin ice.
02:53I think she did say she was a one strike kind of gal and that if he messes up again,
02:57this is going to be it for them. But, you know, we've chatted with Amira recently.
03:00She and Charlie are currently cool. So I guess he has been well behaved since filming Raps.
03:06But you're right. It is kind of surprising how quickly Amira did decide to forgive Charlie,
03:12especially for a thing that he sort of denied at first. He denied it, but then he sort of admitted
03:17he was capable of saying something like that. He was like, I don't remember saying that your man
03:21was gay, but it kind of sounds like something I would say. I'm self-aware enough to admit that
03:26perhaps it sounds like something that maybe I would have said. Which isn't great, Charlie.
03:32I don't love that. I feel like it's mainly the ability of Amira to forgive. I think it's rooted
03:39in how secure and good her relationship is. Yeah. Because I feel her and her man just like
03:45really don't give shit about the noise. Right. So I think she's probably like, who cares what
03:50Charlie says? Yeah. I'm assuming because I was I was in my head. I was like, how did she
03:54how was she able to get to such a calm place with that? And I feel it's just like, I
03:59love my guy.

04:09really, Kevin, really, he doesn't seem very upset by it. He does seem very unbothered, which I think
04:13is exactly to your point. Like, it's very indicative of how secure they are in their
04:19relationship. I guess if it were me, though, like aside from that, I would just character defining of
04:25Charlie. Yeah. And I don't know if I would want someone like that in my orbit, in my orbit, in
04:30my
04:30social circle. But it seems like Amira really does value the friendship with Charlie. Both of them
04:34said that they've been friends for years. Yeah. She says five. He says seven or someone said five.
04:39Someone said seven. They need to get together and get their timelines together. I do love that it was
04:41the there was a clip of the, I guess, sizzle of the show because I was like, they looked so
04:47much
04:47younger and or maybe it was just B-roll them being friends. The video of like a birthday or something

04:52that. I'm like, oh, my God, Charlie has a buzz cut. Amira looks like a little baby. Like, right.
04:55Because they did the sizzle like years and years and years ago. Like, it took a really long time
04:59to get this up and going. So they have known each other for years. Like, you know, they're not wrong
05:04when they say that. So I guess they do value each other for whatever reason. And maybe there's like
05:09a deeper part of their friendship that hasn't been illustrated on the show that we just don't
05:12know about. Maybe. You know, I'm not I'm not really sure. I mean, for Amira's sake, I'm glad that she
05:19has been able to find peace. Yes. In the situation. You know what I mean? I don't think she'll be
05:23finding peace with Georgia very soon. No, which also Georgia's brother kind of gave
05:28her a real talk. She's like, all this drama seems to be around you. Do you see a common
05:31denominator in that? At the end of the day, like, you're responsible for like the relationships
05:36that you're in, right? I know when she's he was like, you're the common denominator. I don't
05:41know if she necessarily like if that penetrated her spirit. I don't know if she was trying on
05:45like old vintage band costumes. I don't know if she like understood what he was saying.
05:50She didn't seem to be too bothered by his assertion that she is the problem in her relationships
05:55that end up crumbling. Did you see she just broke up with her boyfriend who was sitting
05:58on the podcast? Shout out to your new apartment. Stunning. Oh my god, it was beautiful. It was
06:03so nice to see her new apartment. It is so, so freaking gorgeous. You know, it's funny.
06:08It made me in the moment. I was like, well, I'm so happy I'm a Jersey girl. Yeah, well,
06:10it's a great representation of Jersey. It's in Jersey City, which is an absolutely lovely
06:14place. If you haven't been, run. Yeah, don't walk to Jersey City. It's gorgeous. And you
06:18can find yourself a gorgeous penthouse apartment like Gia if you are a successful influencer
06:23who makes lots of money. Yeah. That is the light caveat. She's paying for it on her own.

06:58it. Uh, I loved seeing them on FaceTime together. Gia loves the shit out of her dad. And it was

07:08she was when he went to jail. Cause I think she's only like 24, 25 now. So she was like
07:12a teenager
07:13smack dab in the middle of high school when he went to jail for tax evasion, et cetera. The
07:17audience was reminded of that on this most current episode of Next Gen NYC. And she even addressed
07:22the backlash she got for begging Donald Trump to pardon her father so that he could return home from
07:28the Bahamas and live in the U S. And look, I, I, I understand where Gia was coming from. If
07:34you love
07:34your parent and they're separated from you and you just want them back so badly, you're, you'll kind of
07:38do anything to get them back, you know? So, I mean, I'm, I get it Gia. It was really all
07:44speaking of Gia. It was really nice to see her at Amir's apartment with Ava and all the other
07:48girls. And they were just like banding together all unloading their even Ava when she revealed
07:54that she and her man broke up. Oh yeah. Gia was there to support her even though she and Gia
07:58hadn't
07:58really been like with each other. Ariana as well, even though Ariana and Ava haven't been the best of
08:02friends. So it was just nice to see all the girlies come together in support of Ava.
08:16And I'm so happy to see Ava step out on her own, look for a new apartment. Also speaking of
08:22FaceTimes with daddy, she was FaceTiming daddy and he was like, I'm a Nepo daddy because I'm
08:27literally asking my 20 something year old daughter for $5,000 at a time. Like he's borrowing money from
08:32his baby. While she's trying to get on a lease by herself, which is very stressful.
08:36Very stressful. But what I will say about Damon Dash, how incredible of him to put his ego aside,
08:42participate in a FaceTime call that he knew was being filmed for a Bravo TV show to air out the
08:46fact that he's broke as . I think he knows that his daughter being on TV is how she,
08:51he's getting the $5,000. I feel like I'm a Nepo dad. Why? Because I lent you some money.
08:58So he's like, yeah, I can film this so I can get a little- I like that his ego
09:01is not disallowing
09:03him from submitting to that experience. Wait, also talk about speaking of submitting yourself
09:07to the reality TV experience. The fact that, uh, Rowan's dad, who's a successful writer and
09:11comedian, everything literally sat down too. Yeah. And I love too, that he was like, is this even
09:16interesting? Right. No, I know. I was fascinated. I thought it was so cool. I know when he looked
09:19straight to the camera, he was like, is this boring? Like so funny. Comedic timing. Yeah,
09:23he's great. That was cute to see. It's nice to see more of Rowan. She really has such a great
09:28personality. She's so fun. She's so easy and just, I don't know. I love her. She has great comedic
09:33timing. And she does. And also again, Rowan, I'll say it every single week. Like you want to be a
09:36journalist, come recap with us. This is journalism. Girl, I don't know what you, this is what a
09:42communications degree does. This is the epitome of journalism, actually. Although I feel like her heart
09:45soul and spirit is more into the writing, the screenplay writing, which her dad can obviously
09:50help her out with. And he was trying to help her out with it. And she, she wanted to put
09:53together
09:53the scene of someone holding a slurpee. And then he was saying it wasn't a slurpee and a vibrator.
09:57And daddy was saying that it wasn't really feasible to do that on camera. And, but she was
10:01undeterred. She was like, no, this is my vision. But then when he was like, but now picture on TV,
10:04she was like, Oh, I, do you know what? Rowan, I can see it. I love it. And we,
10:08we know a thing or two about making movies. Yeah. So we don't know, but we support your dreams.
10:14We support the dreams. Hard. We love it. We love it. Uh, did you love seeing Liam and Ariana
10:18get a little bit cuter? Like I actually did. You know, at first I was like, okay,
10:22this is like a total showmance, but now that we're seeing more and more of Liam and Ariana,
10:27I'm really feeling it. I feel like there is real chemistry. He's also growing on me,
10:31growing on me. At first I was kind of like, who is this former child star who is like allegedly
10:36a
10:37fireman, but also riding motorcycles hockey. It was like too much for me, but now I'm really loving him.
10:42And I really love him and Ariana together.
10:44That's why I'm so distraught over the Charlie and Ariana of it all.
10:47And then also knowing that she is like kind of back together with Hudson.
10:50It's like, Oh, so the Liam thing was all for nothing, but it's cute.
10:53I love his parents too. So sweet. They were cute.
10:56So sweet. And I love that. I love that.
10:58They do their little pasta dinners every Sunday or their big dinners every Sunday.
11:01It's like invite us over. Yeah, it does sound really nice.
11:05I want to be in all the families of next gen. Yeah.
11:07Every family is so great.
11:08This was like a very family focused episode with all the daddy appearances and then going
11:13over to Liam's family's house for his birthday. I mean, that was like kind of bold to have
11:18Ariana meet the parents so soon, but it was like, I guess a casual issue setting because there were
11:23so many people there. And then that's also where he asked Ariana out on a date officially,
11:28like with his parents nearby, which is very, um, it's very intimate.
11:32It's cute. I think it's cute. Yeah. So we will see what sparks fly next week.
