00:07the English Channel discovered a sealed bottle of Guinness Extra Stout that has apparently been
00:11just sitting on the ocean floor since 1864. That's right, 1864. This beer was already old when the
00:18Titanic was just a twinkle in a shipbuilder's eye. Underwater photographer Stéphane Panisse found
00:24the bottle inside the wreck of the Mindoro, a ship that sank off the coast of England after
00:28colliding with another vessel. And here's the really important part. There's a chance this Guinness is
00:34still drinkable. Scientists in Belgium are now testing the contents to see whether seawater got
00:40through the cork, and they're even hoping to recover enough DNA from the original yeast to recreate the
00:45exact beer brewed in the 1860s. Panisse says if scientists give him the all-clear, he will take a
00:52sip. I'm gagging just thinking about that, but good on you, Panisse. And this could be just the
00:58tip of the iceberg. Panisse believes the original case may have contained 24 bottles, with even more
01:03cases possibly still buried in the wreckage. Guinness's parent company is now working with
01:08the divers to investigate the find. So somewhere at the bottom of the English Channel, there may be
01:12an entire 162-year-old happy hour just waiting to be discovered.
