00:01Hello, Bali Interiors. My name is Adam.
00:03I'm Callie.
00:04Welcome to Breezy Villa.
00:05Come on and take a peek inside our paradise.
00:20My name is Adam. This is my wife, Callie.
00:23We are the owners of a furniture brand called Hathi Home.
00:25We started that business here in Bali about five years ago
00:29and this is kind of our playground.
00:32This is our house where we get to test new ideas
00:34and it's our first house in Bali.
00:36It's where we raised our kids. We really love it.
00:39And I wanted to bring color.
00:41I felt like the white wasn't giving it justice
00:43and I wanted to bring some playfulness to it.
00:47Color and different attributes that I feel like that Bali has
00:52and that has different carvings, that has ecats, that has color.
00:58And yeah, it's just been a really beautiful process
01:01to bring our personalities into this home.
01:07The kitchen for us is a big part of just our family.
01:10I wanted our kids to be able to be at the counter while we cook.
01:14I wanted to be able to have storage above and below.
01:18I wanted to have a big fridge.
01:20And then for design-wise, I really wanted to bring color in again.
01:25And I did that with this blue color
01:28and being able to do just some different styles of our marble work.
01:33So we kept the kitchen top and yet we added in a counterstool.
01:37And I really wanted to have our I love this counterstool that we make.
01:42And I really wanted to showcase that.
01:44And I felt like that it did a really good job
01:46with having a dark brown marble with a light wood.
01:55Dining room area, I really wanted a really big pendant
01:58to kind of break up the space.
02:01And then I wanted a really big art as well.
02:03So our living room has the blues, greens, yellows, reds of our carpet.
02:09And that's where I kind of grabbed in all the color from there.
02:12And I saw this photo from one of our photographers that we work with.
02:17And I just loved it.
02:19So that was the very center of this room
02:22and how it pulled together our living room and our dining room together.
02:31For this living room, I really wanted to do a big built-in.
02:35And I loved doing this carving, giving it some of that personality to it.
02:40Again, I wanted to bring some more color.
02:41But I went with a more neutral olive green.
02:44The rug was my starting point for this whole room.
02:47I just, I saw it hanging in down and on the road.
02:51And I just loved it.
02:52I loved the green, the blue, the yellow.
02:53And I just felt like it could really pull in everything together.
03:00So when we got the villa, one of our favorite parts about it
03:03was this open floor plan in Bali.
03:05That's so common.
03:06We like that all the doors kind of close because we have kids.
03:09We don't like mosquitoes in here.
03:11We don't want to mess with all that stuff.
03:13But one of the favorite things about the villa
03:15is that this ocean breeze blows right all the way through the front yard,
03:18through the house, right out into the backyard by the pool.
03:20So it was a pretty easy name when we were like, what are we going to name it?
03:24And we're like, oh, well, let's just call it Breezy Villa
03:25because you can sit on the couch and just feel that cool ocean breeze hit you.
03:32This room is one of my favorites, or is one of my favorite rooms,
03:36because of two different pieces.
03:37First off is this dresser area.
03:41And then we decided, I was like, I want to get some drawers.
03:43And so we made these drawers to match, to go well with our wardrobe.
03:49And I think it just fits perfectly.
03:52The last, or one of my other things I've done is this bed frame.
03:56So, and I just love how it, how it came together so much.
04:00And yeah, this is our home.
04:02And I always have fresh flowers.
04:03It's always in every room.
04:05It just brings so much joy.
04:10Here's our master bathroom.
04:12I really love this bathroom.
04:13I've always loved it.
04:15One of my favorite parts is that it's an outdoor shower.
04:17The best.
04:18The marble I chose is this like red, brick red,
04:22which really ties in our brick here.
04:25And it also continues to bring in the flow of the home,
04:28which is the reds, the blues, the greens, the yellows,
04:31so that we get a whole flow in the whole, the villa.
04:37All right, so let's go upstairs.
04:38I'll show you the kids' rooms.
04:41So welcome to Honey's Room.
04:43We have two girls, a 10-year-old named Honey
04:45and a five-year-old named Goldie.
04:48Honey's Room is one of my favorite in the whole house.
04:49It has incredible windows.
04:51You can see the three different volcanoes right from bed.
04:55This is actually a room that Callie really designed
04:59specifically around this one painting that we have.
05:02So when Callie was designed in the room, she was like,
05:03well, let's bring in the pinks, let's bring in the greens,
05:06but let's soften it for a kid's room.
05:10Okay, one of the cool things about Honey's rooms, too,
05:13is that it comes out under this awesome balcony.
05:15When we first got the villa, none of this was done.
05:18It was just rooftop.
05:19There's a bunch of leaves on here, some random patches of grass.
05:22So when we did the remodel, we were like,
05:23we got to turn this space into something beautiful and safe.
05:27Okay, so come on into Goldie's room.
05:37Okay, so Goldie is our five-year-old and she is just a little ball of energy.
05:42We love her.
05:43This is her space.
05:44One of our favorite parts about the house, as I mentioned downstairs,
05:47is this beautiful breeze that comes.
05:49We have the beach right here.
05:50We get that trade winds that just blow right through the house.
05:53And this room, because of the way that the windows are designed,
05:56it allows for that beautiful breeze as well.
05:58So, Cali built an awesome headboard.
06:00Little waves here, kind of hearkening to our surfing out here in Bali.
06:05Beautiful pad and just that incredible fabric.
06:07This one, we had to have some talks about in terms of the family
06:10and whether this makes the cut or not.
06:13But at the end of the day, we just love it.
06:15It just kind of tells a story of like, hey, there's actual real life that happens in here.
06:19Beyond the villas, beyond the beach clubs, beyond the restaurants,
06:22there's this authentic, beautiful character,
06:24which is ultimately what is the energy source behind this whole island
06:29and what makes it so attractive for us.
06:36So, welcome to the backyard.
06:37And this is where we spend a lot of the day.
06:39The kids are in the pool probably 90% of the time that they're in Bali.
06:43This backyard space is super quiet.
06:45It's got beautiful plants that kind of flank the whole backyard.
06:49Lots of the brick work that was pulled inside in the freeze way.
06:53See that along the side wall.
06:54For us, this is a sanctuary.
06:56This is a place where we get to enjoy as a family and be home, but still be in nature.
07:00And then I love that it opens straight up.
07:04The doors open all the way wide into the home.
07:07So, it brings this outside space, the pool, play into our home.
07:12And it really becomes the inside outside.
07:25Thank you volunteers for taking a peek into our paradise.
07:28Bye-bye.
07:29Bye-bye.
07:29Bye-bye.
07:30Bye-bye.
07:31Bye-bye.
07:33Bye-bye.
