00:00So this is the 9X, it's our flagship SUV.
00:03So, you know, with this one we had to get everything right, the proportions, the detail, everything had to be
00:07just perfect.

00:08You know, like most cars, they're kind of designed to look like they're on the move, even while standing still.
00:12This car is not like that at all.
00:13Oh, well, forget it.
00:14No, you know, because we feel like a flagship doesn't need to look like it's on the move.
00:17It's not very confident.
00:19So instead, we designed this car to feel like it's anchored.
00:21And we had this idea almost like a yacht sitting in the harbor, you know, perfectly still, calm, commanding.
00:27Stable.
00:28Yeah, stable, commanding the water around it.
00:31But it's also important that this car, you know, is very recognizable from a distance.
00:35So you can see this kind of feature line running from the top of the car towards the rear and
00:38to the front again.
00:39This is one of those things that makes you instantly see, ah, this is a CK9X.
00:43Absolutely.
00:44And also, it's one of those kind of yacht or nautical kind of inspiration as well, because we call it
00:50the flybridge line.
00:51Oh, the flybridge, just like in the yacht with all those windows.
00:54Yeah, exactly. So because you have a big interior space and you want to give a generous, almost 360 view,
00:59you know, for navigating the vehicle.
01:01Oh, nice. You drive your boat and your yacht the same. It's classic.
01:05So, you know, it's a very calm design. You have all those kind of more horizontal lines leading towards the
01:10front of the car.
01:11One really tricky part was kind of balancing this very generous interior with kind of the classical SUV luxury proportions.
01:19So one thing we did really late in the program was pushing the front wheel forward, like 40 mil or
01:23something, just to make sure that we get the proportions, you know, just right.
01:26Yeah, the luxury look with the long bonnet.
01:28Exactly. And these are actually, we call them the galaxy wheels. Nice little detail on this car.
01:33It does look like the stars are actually catching my eye.
01:36Yeah, exactly. It's like pulling you in. And this is kind of like a recurring theme of this car.
01:40Okay. That must be really nice on the road.
01:43So this is the front of the car.
01:45Very imposing, but also very elegant with all these little details.
01:48Yeah, exactly. We want to give this feeling like when this car comes driving, you're like, oh, who's coming now?
01:52You know, it's very opposing feeling.
01:54And we do that by creating this very powerful volume in the front and all those kind of horizontal lines
01:59coming from the side, wrapping in into the front, leading your eye to the center of the car, basically.
02:04Looks like a waterfall.
02:05Yeah, we have this kind of very intricate vertical details who kind of emphasize the middle and, you know, just
02:10explicit little details.
02:12And like you see in the lamps as well, have this kind of level of detail.
02:15Yeah, I can see the little sparkles.
02:17So these are even like crystal lights also kind of pointing towards the center of the grill.
02:22And these sparkling lights and the crystals is also something you will see also in the interior of the car
02:26as well.
02:27That's a very beautiful light signature.
02:29And that's really recognizable on a car.
02:31Let's maybe before we enter the car, let's maybe see the rear.
02:34Yeah, let's go.
02:37Well, just as for the front, stable and confident.
02:40Yeah, we went very simple in the rear.
02:42It's just these two full width lines, you know, creating a very recognizable look of the rear as well.
02:47And with a little crystal again.
02:48Yeah, exactly.
02:49And we have this split tailgate, which is, you know, creates a very practical boot.
02:54So, yeah, keep up on here.
02:56Perfect for a picnic.
02:57Oh, perfect.
02:58And enjoying the view too.
02:59That's really cool double boot.

03:37And you can see this kind of wood veneer that's running from the IP up onto the door, you know,
03:41creating that kind of generous wide feeling of the interior.

03:51No, I mean, really see it everywhere.
03:52And like also the steering wheel, you know, we have all the controls exactly where you need them.
03:56You can see on the stalks, you know, the attentional detail and the knurlings here.
03:59So we really, really have gone all the way to try to make this a luxurious place.
04:04And this big dial here looks like a big diamond.
04:07Yeah, exactly.
04:07Also, again, like you saw on the headlights, this kind of crystal effect.
04:10We also have it on the volume control, which controls this absolutely amazing name speaker system.
04:16My eye actually got caught on this one because it looks like an airplane engine.
04:20Yeah, it's pretty cool.
04:21And it's so nice.
04:21It was very difficult to design this part because, you know, to get that kind of premium sound performance,
04:26you had to be very open.
04:28But we also want to give this kind of very intricate, beautiful pattern to it.
04:31So, I mean, the sound system is amazing.
04:33You have this kind of noise cancelling.
04:35You even have vibroacoustics.
04:36You feel the music in your seat as well.
04:39So, yeah, we can all the way with this one.
04:41And this huge, big, double TV screen, it's huge.
04:45Yeah, it's pretty cool that we can now bring this to Europe because you have all the controls
04:50to do everything you want.
04:51You have all the entertainment to do what you want.
04:53So, really quite a nice place to be.
04:56And, you know, we put also a lot of attention to physical buttons as well.
05:00So, you know, everything you need is where you have...
05:02What is that one?
05:03I don't know that one.
05:03That's like a button you can customize to do whatever you want.

05:43So you have just the perfect trip.

05:46And we also paid a lot of attention to creating this kind of hidden storage.
05:50So here, for example, you have so many layers.
05:52You can really like use the storage space however you want.
05:55But even on the door there, you can see this, like you push that button.

06:52Let me introduce you to the Zika Super Hybrid, a completely new powertrain that 9X brings to Europe for the
06:59very first time.
07:00Jenny, when people hear actually the world hybrid, they probably think that they know what to expect.
07:04So what actually makes this one so different?
07:06Zika was built from day one as an electric first brand.
07:09And 9X is our most electric first vehicle yet.
07:12It carries a bigger, more powerful battery than many fully electric European cars.
07:17The Ultra you've seen here today drives on two electric motors.
07:21They are combined with a petrol engine simply to recharge the battery or keep it topped up while you're on
07:26the move.
07:26Right, so it's an EV with its own power station on board, right?
07:30Yeah, exactly right.
07:31You get every benefit of electric drive.

08:41Yeah, that's more than 179 km of pure electric driving.
08:45But if you need to go further, the engine switches in automatically.
08:48Giving you a combined range of up to 737 km in total.
08:53Think about that.
08:54And at home, it charges easily and quickly overnight.
08:57Jun spoke a lot about creating a feeling of calm inside the car.
