00:00Woo-hoo!
00:02The Hammonds are here!
00:04Travel is in my blood.
00:06Let's go.
00:07This is the best.
00:08For years, I worked as a tour rep,
00:10following in the footsteps of my dear, lovely mob,
00:14a hard-working, no-nonsense travel agent.
00:17Thanks to our money-saving tips,
00:19we managed to budget our way to a place
00:21that totally captured our hearts.
00:23Look at this! Look at this!
00:24Florida!
00:26I love it!
00:28I was born for Little Havana.
00:30And now the Sunshine State is a big draw for me.
00:33Sorry, I stood on your foot.
00:35And my son, Aidan.
00:37Good job, y'all.
00:38You see him, mate?
00:39Yeah.
00:41But with holiday prices rising...
00:43Oh, my goodness. I'm in heaven.
00:46Can you do Florida...
00:48without breaking the bank?
00:50$4.99 for these.
00:53Oh, yes, Aidan!
00:55Help you, Mum.
00:56Otherwise, just get out.
00:58It's the best day of my life.
01:08Florida.
01:09This is it, babes.
01:11After an eight-hour flight from the UK,
01:13here we are in the heart of Central Florida.
01:23Give me an O.
01:25In fact, give me two.
01:27Orlando.
01:30This is the place me and my mum used to come to.
01:34There we go.
01:35Now my 19-year-old son, Aidan, is following in her tracks.
01:40We're on the move.
01:42And believe it or not, he's not that embarrassed to be with his mum.
01:47There we go!
01:49As a two-person family, we've always been together and travelled together.
01:53Usually, when we come here, it's theme parks or bust.
01:57Well, we didn't say them, Mum.
01:58Well, lots we're going to do today, babes.
02:01But this time, we're doing things a little differently.
02:03So this first leg of our journey is going to be a completely new experience for both of us.
02:09Are you excited, son?
02:10Yeah, I am.
02:11Oh, wicked.
02:12As we leave the theme parks and downtown Orlando behind
02:15and venture out into the big, wide American world.
02:20Back on the road.
02:21Here we are.
02:23But this is a road trip on a budget.
02:26So I've got a bit of a money-saving surprise in store for Aidan.
02:33What are we doing here, Mum?
02:35Because we're quite close to the water.
02:36Might be a couple of alligators in there.
02:38I don't know.
02:38I hope not.
02:39I hope not.
02:40Well, I was thinking, because we always holiday in Florida, don't we?
02:43OK.
02:44And we always do the hotels.
02:45We always go to the theme parks.
02:47But now I want to experience Florida like a Floridian.
02:51So you've brought me to a car park?
02:54Well, yeah, I brought you to a car park, Aidan.
02:56But it's not about the car park.
02:57It's about what's in the car park.
02:59Come this way.
03:00OK.
03:03Florida's mega attractions draw the rest of the world to its shores year after year.
03:10But there are 23 million residents in the Sunshine State.
03:14And when they take a break here, they often crave a different experience.
03:19A chance to explore the great outdoors.
03:22So, they seek out nature, wildlife and a bit of adventure.
03:27But they don't do things by halves here.
03:29When Floridians do Florida, believe me, they do it in style.
03:36This might be it here.
03:37Is this it?
03:38OK.
03:39What are we doing here?
03:40All will be revealed, son.
03:42All will be revealed.
03:43And that's got me thinking.
03:45The locals must know all the insider tricks to getting a great value break in their home state.
03:51Hey, hello.
03:52Alison.
03:53Lovely to meet you, Roberto.
03:54How are you doing?
03:55How are you doing?
03:55I'm good, how are you?
03:56Hello.
03:57Lovely to meet you.
03:59Us Brits call these camper vans, but Americans like Roberto and Theresa call them recreational vehicles.
04:06And that sounds a lot more me.
04:10It's affordable and flexible because you can go wherever you want to go, whenever you want to go.
04:16It's cheaper because it costs less than a hotel.
04:19And also...
04:20It's very comfortable.
04:21Yeah.
04:21Hours especially.
04:22It's massive, isn't it?
04:23It's so big.
04:24So, did you say it's better than hotels?
04:25Oh, yes.
04:26I would think so, yeah.
04:26Because we have, like, everything, like, in your privacy.
04:29Everything you need.
04:29Everything you need.
04:31Everything you need.
04:31Roberto and Theresa have travelled all over the USA.
04:35Their RV taking them to 48 of the 50 states.
04:38And the great thing is, like a growing number of RV owners in Florida, they rent out their home on
04:44wheels whenever they're not using it.
04:47Aidan has no idea why he's here.
04:50But, basically, these guys, they own this RV.
04:53We're gonna rent it.
04:54Sweet, I like that.
04:55Let's do it.
04:56So, we use, like, this RV to travel, like, all around the country.
05:00And it looks like Roberta and Theresa share a passion with Aidan.
05:04I can see you like golf.
05:05Is that something to do with the RV?
05:08That's what we did.
05:09Like, we travelled all the US 50 states playing golf in each state.
05:13Okay.
05:14Is that what this sticker is?
05:15Yes.
05:15Yeah.
05:15Just Alaska and Hawaii.
05:19We took a plane, of course.
05:19We took a plane, of course.
05:20We took a plane, of course.
05:20We took a plane, of course.
05:21Can we have a look inside?
05:22Of course.
05:24Of course.
05:24Take a look inside.
05:25Right in there.
05:28Oh, my gosh, Aidan.
05:29Look at this.
05:30How nice is this?
05:31It's massive.
05:32It's huge.
05:33Look at the dining table.
05:34Wi-Fi.
05:34I've got Wi-Fi.
05:35I'm happy.
05:35You would have to mention that.
05:36I'm happy.
05:37TV.
05:38Nice.
05:39Have our dinner there.
05:41Sunset.
05:41I'm loving this sofa.
05:43I don't know about exploring Florida.
05:45Exploring this RV could take us a week.
05:48The size of the fridge.
05:49I know.
05:49It's massive.
05:50We're going to have to stock up.
05:51Seriously.
05:52Little toilet, shower.
05:54The last time we went camping together, Aidan didn't care about things like Wi-Fi.
05:59And I was alright with a sleeping bag and a tent.
06:01There's something about the freedom of camping that I love.
06:05Oh, God.
06:06Just hit my head.
06:07So, throw some of the comforts of homing as well.
06:10And I'm all in.
06:11Literally, this car is made for me.
06:13Drive, reverse.
06:15Is there anything you want to know?
06:17We're here!
06:20We're here, everyone!
06:21Yep, we've got an RV!
06:27That's lovely.
06:27Have you ever driven anything like this before?
06:29Not as big as this, no.
06:30But I'm up for it, man.
06:32I'm totally up for it.
06:33Do you trust me?
06:33I trust you.
06:34I think I'll be alright.
06:36I'm excited.
06:37I'm excited too.
06:38So, guys.
06:39Here's the keys.
06:40Amazing.
06:41So, that's what I need.
06:41To enjoy the trip.
06:43Have a sweet trip and enjoy it.
06:44Thank you so much.
06:46Bye-bye.
06:49See you later.
06:50Bye-bye.
06:51See you later.
06:51Bye.
06:51Bye.
06:52Bye.
06:54Bye.
06:54Woo-hoo!
06:54Woo-hoo!
06:56Woo-hoo!
06:57Okay, here we go.
07:01Time to get this RV show on the road.
07:10Just as soon as we get out of this car park.
07:12Stop now.
07:13Yeah, I know.
07:14I know.
07:14They need to come out.
07:14They can get past me, sweetheart.
07:17You actually could go to the end if you wanted to.
07:18It's fine, man.
07:19I'm not that...
07:20It's easy to drive.
07:21No, but I don't think this is an exit, that's the thing.
07:23What is it, then?
07:24I don't know.
07:26It might be.
07:27Yeah, look.
07:27Do you not enter?
07:28It's not an exit.
07:29We need to go out there, bud.
07:30Just go right.
07:34Getting used to driving a really big vehicle is the main thing here.
07:38But once you've got your confidence, Florida is your oyster.
07:42Okay, babes, have you got your maps up?
07:43No, where are we going?
07:45I'll put it out.
07:45Right, so we're going to Silver Springs State Park.
07:50So you sort that out, all right?
07:51You're on the navigator.
07:52I'm the driver.
07:55All right, it says...
07:56I am loving this.
07:57Keep going straight.
07:58Let's go, bubs.
08:01RV ownership in the US is at a record high.
08:05A whopping 40 million Americans now own one.
08:08And 40% of them are millennials.
08:11So it's the younger generation who are packing up,
08:14hitting the road and discovering America.
08:17And I get it.
08:20Driving your hotel room, your kitchen and your dining room around with you
08:24wherever you go is a great way to save money.
08:28And when you add it all up, hiring a motor home like this,
08:32along with the all-important cost of insurance,
08:35works out way cheaper than paying separately for your accommodation and transport.
08:39And there's no expensive restaurant bills either.
08:43It's a nice to drive.
08:44It's so nice to drive.
08:46I feel like I'm just...
08:48Well, it's just like we've got our house on the back.
08:50I love it.
08:53As long as you're with me, you're my real home.
08:56There we go.
08:56Do you know what I mean?
08:57Yeah.
08:58Red light.
09:00That was quite poignant and you were just talking about the red light.
09:03Yeah.
09:05Home for us is the West Midlands and we love heading outdoors there.
09:10And I do think the countryside around Birmingham is right up there.
09:14But come on.
09:15Florida has 11 national parks and more than 170 state parks.
09:20So a lot of RVers buy themselves an annual state park pass.
09:24That gives them access to pretty much any outdoor experience Florida has to offer.
09:30For our road trip, we're heading north to Silver Spring State Park.
09:34And the clue is in the name.
09:36The waters here are apparently a bit like me.
09:39Fresh, chilled and super easy-going.
09:43But like, you know, when we're back in the UK and we're driving around the UK,
09:46you go to like Skegness and places like that.
09:48I think this is going to be very different to Skegness somehow.
09:52I don't know what it is.
09:53I don't think it's going to be the same.
09:55But preparation is everything.
09:59We're here, babes.
10:00We're here, let's go.
10:01So before we head into the wilderness,
10:03we're doing what every experience RV owner does
10:06and stocking up on essentials.
10:09Oh, I love this.
10:10Yeah, babes.
10:11All right, thank you very much.
10:12A little basket.
10:13What a great supermarket.
10:15Lovely, isn't it?
10:15And there's a little cafe.
10:17Oh, there is a cafe.
10:18Tell you what, you can go and chill in there
10:19and then I can go do shopping.
10:21Are you sure?
10:22Yeah, I actually don't mind.
10:22You've got this, eggs, bread, you know what to get.
10:24Yeah.
10:24All right, darling.
10:25See you later.
10:27Although it's a little bit heartbreaking that your kids grow up so fast,
10:30it does have its plusses.
10:33Some peanut butter.
10:35Do with that.
10:37I can now entrust Aidan to do sensible things like shopping
10:41for all the items we're going to need.
10:43Oh, yeah.
10:44Popcorn.
10:45Need some of that.
10:46I know what you're thinking.
10:48He's going to mess it up.
10:50Some cookies.
10:51He's going to buy loads of ridiculous stuff.
10:54I think maybe some sweets.
10:56Got to have the sweets.
10:57Bang them in there.
10:58But I've got faith.
11:00Some meat is going to be good for the barbecue.
11:02Ooh, family pack.
11:03I think that's a bit too much.
11:04Let's get a little one.
11:05Because he's a chip off the old block.
11:08Oh, I just love my little mofo home.
11:11To be honest with you, I've actually always wanted one of these.
11:15Might take it back to England.
11:17They're pretty good for price.
11:18It's great that I can trust Aidan to be frugal as well.
11:21Some onions here.
11:2399 cents.
11:24I think I'm going to grab them.
11:26They're pretty good.
11:27He's got a nose for a bargain.
11:29Just like me.
11:30Look at these tortillas.
11:34Amazing.
11:35He's not going to let his mama down.
11:38Oh, finally.
11:38He's here.
11:40Hello.
11:41Hello.
11:42Got some shopping.
11:44Who's that?
11:45It's Dave.
11:46This is Dave?
11:47It's Dave.
11:48Why do we need this?
11:49We don't need this.
11:49Well, I thought it would be nice to decorate the RV.
11:52And then if you get angry, you can...
11:55It's a piñata, Aidan.
11:56No, I've got sweets as well.
11:58Have you got eggs?
12:00Eggs?
12:01Oh, my God.
12:02I can't believe it.
12:02Why do we need eggs?
12:03I can't believe I left you to do the shopping.
12:05I can't believe I've done these.
12:06Have you got any bacon?
12:07You got any meat?
12:08Yeah, I've got meat for the barbecue.
12:09And a piñata?
12:11Yeah.
12:11Come on, let's go.
12:13Come on, let's go.
12:13I can't believe this.
12:15Should have given the shopping list to Dave.
12:17I can't be angry for long.
12:20Is Dave strapped in?
12:21Dave's strapped in, yes.
12:22Are you sure he's safe?
12:23I hope so.
12:24Not when I'm sat at the controls of my little house on wheels, growing in confidence with
12:29every passing mile.
12:30All right, let's go.
12:33Do you know what?
12:34This is quite appealing for me.
12:37It's a holiday like the Americans do.
12:39I think it's a great idea.
12:40And I've cracked the whole car park thing as well now.
12:43Exits, entrances.
12:45I've got it sussed.
12:48Here we are.
12:49Silver Springs.
12:52Looks amazing.
12:54Look at it.
12:54It's like a jungle.
12:57This park covers a lot of ground.
12:59It's about four times the size of Sherwood Forest, and its woodlands and waterways have
13:04been popular with peace-seeking Floridians for more than a hundred years.
13:08If you listen very carefully, you might hear the famous echo of a man in a loincloth,
13:14yelling as he swings by on a vine.
13:16Because I used to shoot the old Tarzan movies here.
13:19And being a 90-mile drive from Orlando, anyone with an RV in that city can be here in just
13:25a couple of hours.
13:27Hiking, paddling, or just chilling.
13:29Well done.
13:31Lovely.
13:32Which is something Dave is especially good at.
13:35You all right, Dave?
13:36It's lovely having a holiday with my son, but it's even better having a holiday with
13:39you, Dave.
13:40We're dividing the roles on this trip.
13:42So as I've done all the driving, it's time for Aidan to play his part.
13:47All right then.
13:48Let's cook some food.
13:49And do the dinner.
13:50Here we go.
13:51Here's the sharp knives.
13:53Yeah.
13:54There we go.
13:55Which means I can go and explore.
13:57So Aidan is cooking some food.
14:00So I thought I'm going to check out the neighbours, see what's happening.
14:04See if I can have a bit of a nose.
14:06I hope they're in.
14:08What is this?
14:11A nice little extra space there.
14:13If we were staying in a hotel now, there's no way I'd be knocking on doors and saying
14:18hello to fellow guests.
14:19But being outdoors in the middle of nowhere.
14:22Hello.
14:23You kind of feel that you want to get to know your fellow RV obsessed human beings.
14:28Howdy, how you doing?
14:29Good.
14:30I'm your new neighbour.
14:31How you doing?
14:32Nice to meet you.
14:33I'm Eddie.
14:33This is my wife Kelly.
14:34We've literally just arrived.
14:36I've got my son.
14:36Just me and my son.
14:38Okay.
14:38He's cooking dinner.
14:39Alright.
14:40So I thought I'd come over and be a bit nosy.
14:42It turns out Kelly, who calls herself the crazy sunglasses lady, and hubby Eddie are
14:48serious RVers.
14:49Not fair weather campers like me, Aidan and Dave.
14:52These two have committed themselves to full time RV living.
14:58So how long have you been doing this then?
15:00Well, living full time for what, six months.
15:04You know, we want to keep going as long as we can.
15:06Travel around, look at a different state park.
15:10So why did you decide to start living in your van?
15:13She kind of nudged me into it when we retired.
15:16He can't sit still.
15:17So I knew he was going to have me going, going, going, doing stuff.
15:20So I thought we might as well be doing it out in nature than running around town in
15:26cars, you know?
15:27Yeah.
15:27So do you find it more affordable then?
15:30Yes.
15:30Camping in the campgrounds, especially state parks, seniors, you get a better discount.
15:35Yes.
15:36That's good, isn't it?
15:37Yeah.
15:37Can I be really cheeky and have a little nosy inside?
15:40Sure.
15:40Yeah, come on, Ian.
15:41Thank you so much.
15:43Inside, it's a proper home from home.
15:46Those are not those chairs that go up, are they?
15:48Yeah.
15:49Are they, darling?
15:49Can I try one?
15:50Of course.
15:51Oh, I love it.
15:52I don't know if you're going to get rid of me, darling.
15:54Oh, my goodness.
15:56I'm in heaven now.
15:57This is absolutely fantastic.
15:59And you look out your door, look at that view.
16:02It's beautiful.
16:03Yep.
16:03Yep, that's our backyard.
16:04And it changes when you want.
16:06Exactly.
16:06How often do you change state parks then?
16:09About two months.
16:11Every two months?
16:11Yeah.
16:12Is it quite romantic as well, when it's just you and your husband?
16:15Oh.
16:16You put a little candle on.
16:17Remember, 43 years.
16:20While I'm making friends and delving a little too deep into people's private lives,
16:26Aidan is making extremely slow progress in our mobile kitchen.
16:31I think I actually don't have one now.
16:34But we'll make it for heaters and I'll give it a go.
16:36Right, let's spin that.
16:38Then, there you go.
16:43So, what's important to you in your life?
16:46I like meeting people, having a good time.
16:48That means a lot.
16:49Well, I've got a little pair of sunglasses right here.
16:53So, I'm going to join you with this.
16:54Great.
16:55And relax.
16:56I wonder if my food's ready.
16:58Oh.
17:00The thing with Aidan is, he thinks he's a bit of a Gordon Ramsay in the kitchen.
17:04And the reality is, he hasn't really got a clue.
17:08Right here, Bob.
17:10Oh.
17:10Over there.
17:13Nope.
17:17Oh, something I've looked.
17:18Daddy, round the walls.
17:21While Aidan makes the slowest fajitas in the history of camping, let's have a little intermission, shall we?
17:27Just an eight-mile drive down the road, takes us to another good value outdoorsy tradition.
17:34The driving.
17:35The ideal spot to take your RV when you fancy some really big screen entertainment.
17:41Run by John Watsky.
17:43Doing everything he can to keep on driving the driving.
17:47The driving.
17:48The driving was built in 1948.
17:50Run continuously until about 2002.
17:53Then it shut down for about eight years when I discovered it and reopened it.
17:59Most of John's customers are Floridians.
18:02And many of them are so keen on a bit of Alfresco Americana, they drive more than a hundred miles
18:07to get there.
18:09I have customers that drive two and a half hours or more.
18:12I've had people who bring their couch from their living room.
18:14I've had them come on a horseback.
18:16I've had them come bring a pontoon boat.
18:19Any way you want to watch the movie, that's how they do it here.
18:22Whether you come by car, boat or RV, the price is the same.
18:27For around a fifth of the price of a single ticket at a multiplex, you get to see two movies
18:33here.
18:34First movies are always geared toward the children and the second movie is geared more toward the adults.
18:40So when the children get tired, they go to sleep and mom and dad gets to watch their movie in
18:44peace and quiet.
18:46What keeps the prices low is John's rule that each vehicle must buy a concession voucher to spend on food
18:52or snacks.
18:54And this is hearty stuff. Look at the size of the portions.
18:58Definitely looks like two meals in one to me.
19:02We have a signature sandwich, a muffalada, with ham salami, mortadella, provolone cheese and Swiss cheese topped with an olive
19:08dressing.
19:09We have a very large menu.
19:11I wish I could say the same.
19:16Now, I don't know if you've noticed, but there's no food whatsoever here and you're cooking. What's going on?
19:20I've only cut half an onion, so I'm going to carry on.
19:23OK. How long is it going to be?
19:24Not long. Half hour.
19:26All right, guys. Quick as you can.
19:27Yeah, you just chill with Dave. Just don't cut yourself.
19:29I won't. All right, see in a bit.
19:32It's just me and you, kid, waiting for dinner.
19:35I'm absolutely starving.
19:37Have you got any sweets inside of you?
19:45Oh, I guess that's a no.
19:52Hurry up, Aidan!
19:55I have a feeling I might be heading back to the drive-in, because right now, not only does the
20:00word muffalata sound amazing, but the idea of $10 for my very own personal muffalata sounds like the best deal
20:07I'm going to get tonight.
20:16You might not believe me, but when I was at school, I had no trouble finding the geography classroom.
20:21And this place is the perfect spot to share my expert knowledge, because the waters here all come from a
20:28thing called the Florida Aquifer.
20:31Florida is basically a massive rocky sponge.
20:34The porous limestone layer beneath the state filters rainwater over thousands of years.
20:39And some of that water springs up here, joining a network of waterways that crisscross the landscape and draw in
20:46adventurous RVers and geography experts from all directions.
20:51This is going to be brilliant.
20:53Look at this.
20:55We've come to see for ourselves just how clear the water is here.
20:59And if we're lucky, spot a fish or a turtle or even a manatee.
21:05Hello.
21:06Hello.
21:07I'm Carter.
21:07Lovely to meet you, Carter.
21:09All we need is a glass bottom boat and a bit of advice from local guide, Carter.
21:14I was born and raised here in Ocala, and I've kept coming back to this park since I was a
21:19small child.
21:20Why do you think you keep coming back? What is it about this park which everyone loves?
21:24So I would say that this park really shines out on the water.
21:29You see tremendous amounts of wildlife.
21:31You never know what you're going to see the next time.
21:33The water is crystal clear, isn't it?
21:35It's lovely.
21:36So this water is 99% pure.
21:39So when you look down into the water, you can see all the way to the bottom.
21:44Whenever I go out on a cool morning, it's a very serene experience.
21:50Really something that you don't get at, you know, a mainstream theme park in Florida or a crowded attraction.
21:58It's something between you and nature.
22:01And, you know, everything's going to be all right.
22:04Aw, it's like Bob Marley, am I?
22:07I want to get a boat.
22:09You want to get a boat?
22:09Yeah, I want to get a boat.
22:10Well, don't worry.
22:11We've got plenty of them for y'all and get you right out on the water.
22:14Aw, thanks very much.
22:18So far, our stay here has cost us a fraction of the price of a theme park.
22:23But it looks like this might be the moment where we finally push the boat out.
22:27Not financially, but literally.
22:31OK, how do we get in?
22:34I push.
22:37Go on, Carter, I'm ready. Push me, Bob. Push me.
22:39Alright, let's do it.
22:40Push me. Yes!
22:42Oh my God, I'm in the water.
22:45Let's do it.
22:48Oh, it's actually quite nice.
22:49In my mind, this was going to be two hours of tranquil paddling.
22:55Careful.
22:56In reality, this first hour is turning pretty stressful.
23:01Move the thing.
23:03What do you want me to move?
23:04Relax, man, relax.
23:05Just lift that thing above my boat.
23:08Lift.
23:08Lift.
23:12Right, now stay.
23:13Hold on to me.
23:14Hold on.
23:15Hold on.
23:15No, don't push.
23:16I'm going to turn this.
23:18It takes a while to get your confidence and find your balance.
23:22You lean back.
23:24Don't pull me down.
23:26Don't pull me down.
23:26I'm not pulling you down.
23:28But once you do, you can finally take that selfie that makes you look like you're having the best time
23:33ever and know exactly what you're doing.
23:36Yeah.
23:39Never seen anyone so chilled out.
23:42Aidan's got the whole laid back paddling thing down to a tee.
23:46You alright?
23:48Good day, how are you?
23:50You're good.
23:53But my sat nav is still a bit off.
23:56And I keep thinking I'm going to see an alligator.
23:59Ah!
24:00Ah!
24:02Ah!
24:04I can't move.
24:06Why are you moving?
24:07Stop moving with your hips.
24:09There you go.
24:10And then I'll start rowing.
24:11Ah!
24:13At last.
24:15I've cracked it.
24:18Oh, this is lovely and peaceful, isn't it?
24:21See you later, alligator.
24:23I'm off.
24:23Heading downstream and not a care in the world.
24:29Shall we go down there?
24:30Go over there.
24:31It's like paddling in mineral water.
24:34Well, actually, that's exactly what it is.
24:36Mineral rich, filtered water.
24:38Home to all kinds of wildlife.
24:41Look at the size of them fish babes.
24:44Oh, yeah?
24:45How cute is that?
24:47And popular with pets too.
24:49Oh, look at him with his dog.
24:52What a cute dog.
24:53He's loving that, isn't he?
24:56Loving life.
24:57That's the life.
24:59It's amazing.
25:00Being able to look all the way to the bottom.
25:03Look at this fish over here.
25:06The only trouble is, you're so fixated on looking down, you forget to look up.
25:15Paddle.
25:16I don't like it.
25:18Paddle back.
25:18Don't pull me in.
25:20Paddle back.
25:21What are you doing?
25:22What are you doing?
25:24Paddle back.
25:25Push off it.
25:26Push off it.
25:27There you go.
25:28Now paddle.
25:29There you go.
25:30What a team.
25:32And what a way to work off all those imaginary calories that I had last night.
25:36SAS, are you tough enough?
25:39Yes, I am.
25:44This is fantastic.
25:47How amazing is this?
25:48I don't think I've ever seen such clear water.
25:51It's beautiful.
25:52Isn't it?
25:53Yeah.
25:54I can see what Carter meant now.
25:56And Bob Marley.
25:57I'm not worrying about a thing.
25:59Cause me and my boy are just going with the flow in the great outdoors.
26:04Oi.
26:07Babes is alligating right by your head.
26:09Move.
26:16And I reckon I might finally be seeing the real Florida.
26:20Like a real Floridian.
26:23Woohoo!
26:24This is actually so lovely, Aidan.
26:28Just having some quiet time with me and you.
26:32Nothing quite like it.
26:35It's really nice, yeah?
26:37It's actually nice just spending time with you.
26:44We set out to try and see the world the way the locals do.
26:48And go where they go.
26:51To try and avoid the hustle and bustle and hefty bills.
26:55All at the same time.
26:57And hiring RV from a local was a great way to do both.
27:02It's been fab getting back to nature and a simpler way of life.
27:05And to do it all on a budget.
27:08We're here in this beautiful state park.
27:10And we haven't even had to leave Florida.
27:13So yeah, I've loved every minute of this.
27:16RVs are big.
27:17But once you get your confidence,
27:19they're a really cool way to see Florida.
27:21The country lanes here are a bit easier to navigate
27:24than the ones back home.
27:25And you've got all the thrills and excitement of camping
27:28without ever straying too far out of your comfort zone.
27:32So I'm converted.
27:33And I'm already feeling sad about handing back the keys.
27:37But would you do it all the time?
27:39Not all the time.
27:40But a lot of the time to help save money here and there.
27:43Maybe for like two days, I get like a little camper van.
27:45Really?
27:46Camp out, yeah.
27:47And then I'd want to go back to like normal.
27:49I think we've saved a lot of money.
27:51However, I wasn't too keen on your shop, if I'm honest with you.
27:54It wasn't the best of shops.
27:55It was a good shop.
27:56It was not the best of shops, Bob.
27:58But I've loved having this little break.
28:00Yeah, it's good for like a little week away in your RV.
28:03Yeah.
28:04Sorted.
28:04It's been lovely hasn't it?
28:05Yeah, it has.
28:06No, it has.
28:10Right now.
28:25Within hours...
28:25We trust.
28:25We need lots of guns.
28:25It's amazing.
28:25You have to love ici to close in the attic.
28:35Before coming out, I can tell you whatlerini is.
