00:00And some good games coming up here, and one of them, Tom, the Yankees won again last night.
00:06I can't even, half these guys in this lineup is hilarious. You know, Sanchez is the catcher,
00:14and he comes out in a big way last night with a big three-run home run. But listen, even
00:20the
00:20backups, right, without the big guns available, Yankees are still winning games. They're winning
00:25series. Big win last night. Even when Max Freed, you know, there's going to be some bumps
00:32in the road coming back after being on the IL for as long as he was. But the bullpen locked
00:38it down, gave the bats an opportunity to win. They did. And now they got Garrett Cole on the
00:43mound, who, to me, Tom, is looking more and more like Garrett Cole every turn out there.
00:50So I think Anthony Kaye is, you know, you and I laugh because we're talking about all these
00:56pitchers where we're going, these guys, like at some point, somebody has got to get McGreevy.
01:03Anthony Kaye, to me, is another one of these guys, Tom. I have no idea how long he's been
01:08getting away with it. He is not a very good starting pitcher, but yet he's managed to win
01:15a whole lot more games than anybody thought he was going to. Yeah, that's one way of putting it.
01:21And, you know, you look at it, just the surface level stats, you see a 4-2-1 ERA, and,
01:26you know,
01:26it's not great, you know, but it's not the end-all and be-all, but still his X-ERA and
01:31his X-FIP
01:31are at 5-3-3 and 4-9-1. So 4-2-1 is not good to begin with, but
01:36his X-ERA is at 5-3-3.
01:38So he's bad, but he's still not as bad as his X-ERA indicates him, which is a full run
01:45worse. He's not a big strikeout pitcher. It's at 18%. He has a 9% walk rate, which is terrible,
01:49and he allows 1.28 home runs per nine. So he's bad, but he actually could be worse than
01:55he actually is. It's not like the inverse. We're like, oh, he's actually bad enough. He's
01:58actually a lot better than we said. No, he's actually bad. He could be worse than he is.
02:02Great that the Yankees lineup isn't as powerful as it could be, but they're still getting runs
02:07across, and I think this is a spot to back runs before I back the money line. I'm not
02:13sold on the Yankees rattling off so many wins in a row or in such a short time, but I
02:18like
02:18runs in this game more than I like a money line on either side.
02:24Yeah, Yankees middle of the road last couple of weeks against lefties, but the White Sox,
02:29they have not hit right-handed pitching well at all, Tom. I think 20th over the last couple
02:35of weeks here, hit or miss, I mean, runs have been a bit of a problem here. The only fear
02:42that I have is that the Yankees had to use a lot of bullpen last night because Reid couldn't
02:48give them, what, more than three? So they had a lot of bullpen innings last night. I think
02:55Dominguez also was used last night there for the White Sox. So, you know, Bednar was used.
03:02Could we very much be looking at maybe some runs here across the board?
03:07I think so, and this is a spot where, you know, if Cole locks things down a little bit to
03:14start
03:15and you're looking to bet this in-game, you know, this seven or this eight number could very quickly
03:21drop to six and a half. If the Yankees are leading 1-0 after three or four, you know, this
03:26number is
03:26going to come down pretty quickly. A six and a half in-game would be a spot to look because
03:31the bullpens, and we've got to remember, the Yankees did not have a day off after Sunday
03:34night baseball. They had to play, you know, against the Phillies, that game, doubleheader,
03:39and then they played Sunday night to go right into this series. So they have not had any rest.
03:42A depleted bullpen and an over six and a half, you know, that's something to keep an eye on.
03:48Yeah. And I'll tell you this too, double digit winds blowing out to right field, 11 miles an hour
03:54at, at rate field. So we got some wind blowing out, boy, left-handed power bats going to come
04:02into play here. But I like Garrett Cole's chances of at least limiting the damage early here. And if I
04:10had to take a flyer, I don't know, Yankees maybe in the first five, I think I have a better
04:15shot
04:16than anything else. But the bullpens, again, a little bit worked here.
