00:00The New York Metropolitans, as we flip it over to Major League Baseball,
00:03afternoon style, Joe, taking on the Chicago Cubs.
00:06The Mets were probably just happy to get out of L.A.,
00:08but quite frankly, no matter where they go,
00:10they haven't been winning any baseball games.
00:12Maybe that changes today, but the favorite is not going to be the New York Mets.
00:16It's the hometown team, those Chicago Cubs,
00:18currently trading at 58 cents here to win this game outright,
00:22which means a $100 investment would pay back 173.
00:25The Mets, could they be on their way to a double-digit losing streak already
00:30in the month of April, Joe?
00:32Well, I mean, listen, we're looking at this total as 10.5, right, Donnie?
00:37It's an afternoon game for the Cubs, and, you know,
00:40we know what that's like, wind blowing out at Wrigley, but I'm sorry, man.
00:45Nothing about what the Mets offensively are doing screams that this is the game.
00:50I don't care what the weather in a ballpark is.
00:53You can't trust them to add enough offensively to this game.
00:57And by the way, Edwin Cabrera enters this game 1.62 ERA.
01:02He's already 1-0.
01:04You know, the heavy lifting would have to be done in a total spot by the Cubs.
01:09I just can't trust the Mets to add enough to want to go over.
01:13I think the under is the way to look in this game.
01:16Could be, and if the wind is blowing out and the Cubs' bats stay hot,
01:19which they wear the past two nights in Philadelphia,
01:21a 48% chance of trading that the Cubs will score over five and a half runs,
01:25which means they would have to get six.
01:27If they get to six here, $100 investment pays back $205.
01:30So once again, on these predictive markets, Joe, not just taking,
01:33hey, let me just invest in the side itself.
01:35You got some of the same options that sports books do have out there.
01:38Get some better price points that you might not be paying all that juice here.
01:41Atlanta and Philadelphia, two teams that we think will be vying for the NL East lead.
01:46Well, right now, Atlanta's playing good baseball.
01:47The Philadelphia Phillies are not.
01:49The Phillies are at home, but they're not even the favorites tonight on the Cal State Marketplace, Joe.
01:5351% chance that the Braves win this game outright.
01:56The Phillies at 49%.
01:58Now, two bad pitchers on the mound tonight in a true hitter's ballpark.
02:02Wind blowing slightly in tonight, Joe, but nice warm temperatures.
02:05The only question is, for me as a Phillies fan,
02:08what the heck am I getting out of Taiwan Walker tonight?
02:11Well, I think what you're getting is runs, Donnie,
02:14and I think that's exactly what the Braves will get also is runs on him.
02:20But, you know, both of these bullpens have had some work.
02:23I love the over in this game, Donnie.
02:25I can't trust either starting pitcher, but I do trust the Braves here a little bit better,
02:32even though they're rolling out, you know, a retread here to throw tonight.
02:37I mean, my goodness.
02:39But I do think that runs can be scored, I think, both early, too.
02:43First five over, full game over is where I would look here, Donnie.
02:48And also, if you're looking at the team total for the Atlanta Braves,
02:51over four and a half runs, currently trading at 55% right now.
02:54$100 investment pays back $182 if you think the Braves can get the five.
02:58Last couple nights, Cubs need any help getting to five runs.
03:01They cruised right by that.
03:02Final baseball game we'll talk about here, Joe.
03:04Detroit taking on Boston.
03:05Ranger Suarez on the mound.
03:07High-priced free agent coming over from Philadelphia in the offseason.
03:10Hasn't really pitched all that well just yet.
03:12Detroit, pretty good baseball team.
03:14Mize will be on the mound.
03:15The favorite, though, is Boston trading at 54% to win this game.
03:19So a $100 investment would pay back $182, Joe, if Boston, in last place right now, can pick up a
03:25dub.
03:26Yeah, it's kind of crazy.
03:28I mean, but can we trust them to do that?
03:31That's the problem here.
03:33I do think, Donnie, though, that, you know, he is trying to figure it out here a little bit.
03:39I think Casey Mize as well, though, has also been pretty good here for them.
03:43I don't expect a ton of offense in this game.
03:47We did see Detroit win a couple of 2-1 games against the Royals.
03:50And then, of course, the bullpens got involved yesterday, and they exploded for runs.
03:55I don't see a ton of runs in this game, especially if he is on here today, which I think
04:00both pitchers will be.
04:01Suarez and Casey Mize under for me here.
04:04Do you want some Starbucks coffee on this game, Joe?
04:07You go to the events marketplace on Cal Street tonight in this game in Boston, Joe.
04:1194% the word trading Fenway Park.
04:15They're playing at Fenway Park, Joe, tonight.
04:17What are the chances that they go nine innings and nobody mentions Fenway Park at any time during the telecast?
04:23Now, $100 investment only pays back $107.
04:25Joe, come on now.
