00:05controlled bus network when franchising begins on the 6th of September.
00:10The changes include a new direct service to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, more evening
00:15and weekend buses, and improved links to hospitals, colleges and railway stations.
00:21Some routes running every two hours will become hourly, while duplicate service numbers will
00:26be removed.
00:27Metro Mayor Steve Rotherham says the changes mark a historic milestone after decades of
00:32deregulation.
00:34The Combined Authority says the programme is designed to deliver simpler, more reliable
00:38public transport.
