Bus franchising is coming to St Helens as the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority takes control of routes, fares and timetables. Arriva has confirmed which services it will no longer operate and how long its tickets will remain valid.

00:00Bus passengers in St Helens are being warned about service changes from the 6th of September.
00:06The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is bringing franchised buses into operation.
00:12This means routes, fares and timetables will be controlled by the authority rather than operators.
00:19Arriva says it will no longer run certain services.
00:21Its tickets will still be accepted on franchised services for now.
00:26Weekly tickets remain valid until the 13th of September, while four weekly, term or annual tickets are accepted until the
00:345th of October.
00:36After that, Arriva products will not be valid on franchised services.
00:40Passengers with eligible tickets can apply for refunds online.
