00:15His feats in two of the three World Cups in which he played set records still standing

00:25One of the first African players to come to prominence in Europe in the 1970s,
00:30Miller had quit the national team until a personal request from the president of Cameroon
00:35saw him head to Italy with the indomitable Lions for the 1990 World Cup.

00:45used as a super sub, Miller was a sensation as Cameroon became the first African team
00:51to make the World Cup quarterfinals.
00:54He scored four goals, each celebrated with a joyous sprint to the corner flag,
00:59where a flamboyant dance inspired many of the quirky goal celebrations seen today.
01:08Although he didn't score in the quarterfinal clash with England,
01:11his arrival off the bench created two goals to put Cameroon in front
01:16before they conceded two late penalties to go down 3-2.

01:25and his efforts saw him named African Footballer of the Year for the second time,

01:45which still marks him as the oldest player to score a World Cup goal.
