00:00I am very fortunate. I'm blessed with some amazing colleagues in the Federal
00:04Parliament. These two I would say are particularly relentless in the way that
00:08they go about advocating for the local community here and that's what brings us
00:12on this beautiful morning to Hillside here in Fig Tree. This is one of six
00:18locations that we're announcing today an additional $25.6 million dollars of
00:23federal government investment. Now when we looked across the country at the
00:28places where we were having the biggest challenges in terms of bringing on new
00:32aged care beds, the Illawarra was one of those places that we identified. It's not
00:37always the best word to use but unfortunately the supply of beds and
00:42the coming on board with the sector had become somewhat constipated and so it was
00:46very clear to the Federal Government that across these four locations including
00:49the Illawarra of the Hunter up a bit further north from here as well as
00:53Metropolitan Adelaide and Metropolitan Perth. We had to do something a little bit
00:57special. That's why we announced in the first place this special ACAP round to
01:01target those four hotspots. We've got six fantastic projects that have been
01:06identified through that work across the Illawarra and of course this is one of
01:11those beautiful examples. We want to make sure that every older Australian no
01:16matter where they live and of course here in the Illawarra can get access to
01:20world-class aged care services and that's what these investments are all about.
