Transcript
00:00We've had another fabulous book fair. We've had thousands of people through the
00:03door already and we're expecting a couple more thousand the rest of today
00:07and tomorrow. We've had about 85, between 85 and 90,000 books on sale. We've seen
00:13heaps of them go out the door and it's fabulous to see people of all
00:17generations. So we've got very young children, parents, grandparents all
00:22coming and really enjoying the thrill of finding something new and interesting
00:27but also sharing the love of reading. We have a real range of people, some coming
00:32for the collectible value of the books but many people coming just for the pure
00:35love of the book and the topic that the book's about. We had a young person come
00:40and buy a maths textbook who just is someone who really, really loves maths and
00:45wants to enjoy that book for many years to come. We're so grateful for the
00:50community that we're part of, the way that they support us at the book fair. So all
00:54of the books are donated locally. We have a fabulous volunteer team who gets those
00:59ready for sale and the community comes out in droves to buy these books. All the
01:04funds raised stay local in the Illawarishall Haven and South Coast to
01:08support our suicide prevention and crisis support services. So we are incredibly
01:12grateful to the community for their generosity in supporting our activities.
