A Wallaby is a small to medium-sized marsupial closely related to the kangaroo. Native to Australia and nearby islands, wallabies are found in forests, grasslands, rocky hills, and scrublands, where they are well adapted to a variety of habitats.
Like kangaroos, wallabies have powerful hind legs for hopping, a strong tail for balance, and a pouch in which females carry and raise their young, called joeys. They are herbivores, feeding mainly on grasses, leaves, and shrubs, and are most active during the early morning and evening.
