An Oncilla, also known as the Northern Tiger Cat, is a small and elusive wild cat famous for its beautiful spotted coat and secretive lifestyle. Found in parts of Central and South America, oncillas inhabit forests, cloud forests, and other densely vegetated environments.

Oncillas are agile climbers and skilled hunters that are mainly active at night. They prey on rodents, birds, lizards, insects, and other small animals, relying on stealth, sharp senses, and excellent camouflage to move almost unnoticed through their habitat.

Despite looking like a miniature leopard, the oncilla is only about the size of a domestic cat. Habitat loss and other human pressures threaten populations of these little-known felines, making their conservation increasingly important. Their stunning markings, agility, and mysterious nature make oncillas some of the most fascinating small wild cats in the Americas. 🐈🌿🌙✨
