00:00Just a little mystery.
00:01Wow.
00:01Just the right finishing touch.
00:03I feel like an elfin fairy.
00:05Mm-hmm.
00:23Hi, Vogue.
00:24It's Emma Roberts.
00:25We are at the final fitting for my wedding dress
00:28at the Monique Lillier flagship.
00:31I am so excited to show you my wedding dress.
00:34Working with Monique has been an absolute dream,
00:37and I am just so, so, so excited to try on my dress.
00:40I actually haven't even tried on
00:43the final, final version of my dress,
00:45so I will be experiencing it with you guys.
00:46As we started the planning process,
00:49we really started from scratch
00:50because I didn't really know what I wanted.
00:53I just know that I wanted it to feel very vintage-inspired.
00:56I'm obsessed with antique books.
00:58And treasure hunting.
01:00And I love collecting old ephemera,
01:02so I really wanted that to shine through in the dress.
01:05So for me, it wasn't so much about the cut.
01:08It was about what the color was going to be.
01:10So Monique actually designed a custom color,
01:13and it's this antique, kind of tea-stained color
01:16that is so beautiful
01:17because I realized that on my wedding day,
01:20I kind of wanted to look like a ghost,
01:22a little antique ghost doll.
01:24So we wanted that to shine through.
01:26I feel like I was just so lucky.
01:28I mean, I had literally the best designer, Monique,
01:31my stylist, who are also my bridesmaids,
01:33Cake and Britt, who are here somewhere.
01:35Do you guys want to come talk, you little hotties?
01:38Come sit.
01:39Yeah.
01:39Hey, these are my two amazing stylists
01:43and two of my best friends
01:45and also some bridesmaids.
01:47Yeah, we're doing double duty here.
01:49I mean, you're doing like quadruple duty.
01:51Quadruple.
01:51I'm Britt.
01:52I'm Kara.
01:53We're sisters.
01:54The start of the design process,
01:56I guess when Emma told us she was getting married,
01:58we were just like,
01:59oh my God,
02:00we can't wait to like have the most
02:03like inspiring, creative, fantasy world.
02:06So we just got like so excited,
02:08started our mood board as we do.
02:10The backbone has always,
02:11since we've met her,
02:12been vintage.
02:13Like at the core,
02:14that's what we connected with
02:16when we first met.
02:17Love of dolls,
02:18love of books,
02:19love of furniture,
02:20love of clothes,
02:21anything like old world we loved.
02:23But it's also never been like,
02:24we're her stylists.
02:25It's always been a collaboration
02:27from the beginning.
02:28It's like been the three of us like.
02:29Sad, that's true.
02:29It's true.
02:30It's just been like three,
02:31it felt like three friends
02:32who like would just sit
02:34and have fun
02:34and brainstorm and get creative
02:36and then create something together.
02:37And that's what makes it so fun.
02:39I haven't seen anything.
02:40I've been crying the whole time,
02:41so I have blurry eyes.
02:42I don't even know what her death looks like.
02:43It's just like,
02:44I've been crying the whole time.
02:45If you want it done right,
02:46you got to go to Monique, right?
02:47True.
02:48It's true.
02:49That's true.
02:49When I'm done.
02:50I think Emma being so into vintage,
02:52but also being so modern,
02:54it was like kind of the perfect choice.
02:55Like she bridges that gap,
02:56like we were saying.
02:57I don't know how she reinvents
02:59a wedding dress
03:00as many times as she had.
03:01Like I walked in today,
03:02I saw a dress I'd never seen before.
03:04I was in the window.
03:05I couldn't believe it.
03:05We were so excited
03:06to collaborate with her
03:07and I was just so grateful
03:09that she was down to do it.
03:11The synergy was so there
03:12and it really,
03:14I think we just had such lightning
03:16in a bottle,
03:16all of us together.
03:17You guys,
03:18should we look at the dress?
03:19Should we get Monique?
03:23I'm Monique Lulier
03:25and I designed Emma Roberts
03:26custom wedding dresses.
03:28I decided to work with silk chiffon
03:31because we wanted to create
03:32a very ethereal, romantic
03:34and vintage inspired gown.
03:36There's over 25 yards
03:38of the silk chiffon
03:39and we created this custom color.
03:41This gown took nine months to make
03:44and I would say it took
03:45close to a thousand hours
03:46to complete this dress.
03:48I want Emma to feel
03:49the most beautiful version
03:50of herself
03:51and I think this design
03:52really showcases that.
03:54Can't wait to celebrate.
03:55Hi!
03:56I'm so excited.
03:58Are you ready to see it?
03:59I'm so ready.
04:01Okay, this lace,
04:03you outdid yourself.
04:05Oh my.
04:07After all these months,
04:08here she is.
04:09I mean, the color,
04:10you nailed.
04:12So what I did is,
04:13tell me everything.
04:14I started with the blush pink
04:15that I do in my signature collection
04:17but because you wanted
04:18that vintage feeling,
04:20I decided to dip it in ecru.
04:22So I created this custom color
04:24just for you.
04:25Are you going to call it Emma?
04:27It's actually called
04:28the vintage rose.
04:29After you.
04:30The vintage rose!
04:31Yes.
04:32Okay, this is insane.
04:33So it has that antiqued feeling.
04:36Oh my God, it's so beautiful.
04:38And then I decided to
04:39put the lace.
04:41I know, this was your genius.
04:43I mean,
04:44because we tried it on
04:44without the lace.
04:45And then on the last fitting,
04:47you were like,
04:47let's do the lace.
04:48And then incorporated it
04:50back here as well.
04:50Right.
04:51We wanted to add something
04:52that was really unique
04:54just to you.
04:55And you kept saying
04:57you wanted an asymmetric top.
04:59You wanted something
04:59that covered a sleeve,
05:00but not entirely.
05:01So I thought this was
05:02a great way to do that.
05:03I know.
05:03And it was just
05:05so flattering on you.
05:08And this is that cape
05:10that we can remove.
05:12I know.
05:12So you can have
05:12two looks for the night.
05:15Oh, it's going to be
05:16so fabulous.
05:17And I also wanted
05:18to make sure
05:19we could see the corset
05:21that you really wanted
05:21inside the dress.
05:22So you see
05:23all the intricate,
05:24you know, details
05:25from the boning
05:26and it really fits you
05:27like second skin.
05:29And then of course,
05:30like a little leg action.
05:31We've got to show
05:31a little leg.
05:32A little leg action.
05:33A little leg.
05:34We got a slit there.
05:34Must.
05:35I've been married
05:36in a movie before
05:36and I've tried on
05:37wedding dresses for that,
05:38which always feels so weird.
05:40So now,
05:41now it's the real deal.
05:43This is your second dress
05:44that you're going
05:45to change into.
05:46And I have to say
05:48this one was very
05:49nostalgic for me
05:50because this is
05:51from my archives.
05:52This gown I designed
05:53in 2003.
05:55I mean,
05:55this looks like
05:56it could be
05:57totally vintage
05:58from 100 years ago
05:59or from now.
06:00This is going to be
06:00so fun in Idaho
06:02at the after party.
06:03I mean,
06:04I'm just,
06:05I'm going to be
06:05up on the bar
06:06wearing this.
06:07I hope you don't mind.
06:07I can't wait to see you
06:08partying this one.
06:09And this,
06:09you can move freely
06:10and I love the texture.
06:11I love the texture.
06:12I love how there's
06:12a little like edge to it.
06:14So you're changing
06:15from a more vintage,
06:16romantic, ethereal look
06:17to something
06:18with a little more edge.
06:19Again,
06:19it has that corset.
06:20We built this custom
06:21just for you.
06:22So I can't wait to see it.
06:24Well, I like it.
06:24We're keeping the corset theme.
06:25But I also,
06:26I love the idea
06:27of wearing black
06:28for the after party
06:29and I love that
06:29you were also into that.
06:31Me, Cake, and Britt,
06:33we love doing something
06:35that's like a little
06:36unexpected.
06:37Unexpected.
06:37Yes, exactly.
06:41Oh, I'm so excited.
06:42It's going to be so great.
06:43Okay.
06:43All right.
06:44The time has come.
06:44Let's do it.
06:45I can't wait to show everyone.
06:51Let's get it.
06:55Okay.
06:56Here I am, guys.
07:00What do you think?
07:01Do you love?
07:02Are people actually crying?

07:10She's so perfect.
07:12Mom's their trip.
07:14You love it?
07:15As soon as mom said
07:17she might cry,
07:18I was like,
07:19I will cry.
07:20It's crazy.
07:20Wow.
07:22That train.
07:24Oh, my doll.
07:26Aw.
07:29I love you.
07:30Thanks, guys.
07:31My sister,
07:32my cousins,
07:34and then my bridesmaids

07:50Have fun.
07:55Thank you for making this all possible.
07:57Everybody,
07:58thank you.
07:59Cheers.
07:59Love you guys.
08:00Love you.
08:02It feels super Emma,
08:03and I feel like the eye moment is just,
08:05like, the first thing I thought was that she looked like a doll,
08:07and she's obsessed with dolls,
08:09so I feel like it's very fitting for her.
08:10The color is incredible.
08:12Like, it could not be more perfect,
08:13and I love that it's custom for her.
08:15It's so beautiful,
08:16but, like,
08:17every detail is beyond.
08:19This is everything.
08:21Love it.
08:22George.
08:23And it's so classic.
08:24Oh,
08:24you love me.
08:25Hi, boo.
08:26Hi, boobie.
08:27I'm Allie.
08:31Allie's the most fun person at the wedding.
08:33Every wedding.
08:34I am Rally Allie,
08:35so.
08:38Um,
08:38but she is a doll.
08:39She's all of our dolls,
08:40and she walked out,
08:41and it was so perfect.
08:42I'm like,
08:43I said it was,
08:44I literally,
08:45I said it was yummy.
08:46Yeah,
08:46you did.
08:47Which is,
08:47I don't know why I said yummy,
08:49but it's just perfect.
08:51I'm Lily.
08:52I'm one of Emma's best friends.
08:54Well.
08:55I just can't believe it.
08:56I feel so emotional.
08:57Aw, thanks, love.
08:58I'm probably gonna cry again on the day.
08:59We're all gonna cry again.
09:00It's so beautiful.
09:01Love you guys.
09:02Congratulations.
09:03She's done fashion shows
09:04since she was probably two, three.
09:07Non-professional fashion shows.
09:08Yeah, non-professional.
09:09She means the dress is just exquisite.
09:12It's, um,
09:12the color.
09:13Isn't it to die?
09:13It's like tea stained,
09:14perfectly amazing.
09:16Just,
09:17I love it.
09:17I said I wanted to,
09:18like,
09:18look like a ghost,
09:19and they delivered.
09:20It's beautiful.
09:20It's just beautiful.
09:22It's ghost as well.
09:23Couldn't be happier.
09:23After the ceremony,
09:25the beauty of this dress
09:26is it keeps transforming.
09:28Throughout the night.
09:28So now throughout the night.
09:29So we want you to dance,
09:31or when you move into the reception,
09:33we don't want anyone
09:33to, like,
09:34step on your train.
09:35Yes.
09:35So we created a bustle
09:36that took us
09:37two months to figure out
09:39how it would work.
09:41So elements of the dress
09:43start to come off.
09:44Oh my God.
09:44Wow.
09:45So you can keep this.
09:46Yeah.
09:47It's not crazy.
09:48That's amazing.
09:49We're going to bustle
09:50this part
09:51so then everything
09:51becomes floor length.
09:53So then you can,
09:54I mean,
09:54you're an architect.
09:55So now you can walk around
09:57and you can,
09:58so you can,
09:59I got chills.
10:00I got chills too.
10:01Oh my God.
10:02Beautiful.
10:03This is Emma.
10:05Emma?
10:06This is crazy.
10:07It's a painting back there.
10:08Then this,
10:09you can remove this
10:09if you wanted to go strapless too.
10:11Oh,
10:11they haven't seen the strapless.
10:13This becomes
10:13a convertible version.
10:15Oh my God.
10:15No.
10:16Yes.
10:17Yes.
10:18Yes.
10:18Are you serious?
10:19Yes.
10:20It's like five dresses.
10:21Isn't that so cool?
10:21There's five looks
10:22in the dress.
10:23I know.
10:23You don't even need to change.
10:25Yes.
10:25Cody's going to cry.
10:26Like nonstop.
10:28Yeah.
10:29Yeah.
10:29He's going to love it,
10:30but he's also,
10:30I mean,
10:31he loves anything that I love,
10:33but I think he'll really love it.
10:34He likes everything about you.
10:35Let's face it.
10:37I mean,
10:37he would,
10:38he wouldn't care if I wore jeans,
10:40but he's going to definitely die for this.
10:42Should I put on the,
10:43the saloon boudoir?
10:45Yes!
10:46Girl,
10:46get it!
10:54No!
10:55Stop it!
10:56Oh my God,
10:57it's still tweeting.
10:58What?
10:59Duel of spin,
11:00give us the next one.
11:00The Saloon Mountain,
11:032003 queen.
11:03You found this
11:04in the archives,
11:05you guys.
11:05This is amazing.
11:07You did,
11:07but this is your,
11:07how did you know to find this?
11:08But this was your vision.
11:09You have sent us so many
11:10inspos of like early 2000s
11:13like this.
11:13And the shoes will be black
11:14on the day.
11:15And these are all
11:16silk organza strips
11:18that we cut.
11:19Oh my God.
11:20It creates that movement.
11:22And it's just the right
11:23amount of frame,
11:25you know?
11:25So cool.
11:26You did a twirl.
11:28I did.
11:29I did twirling.
11:30Three wishes.
11:31Three wishes.
11:32Do a twirl.
11:33Three wishes,
11:34true.
11:34I don't even know about that.
11:35Yeah.
11:35You have to make three wishes.
11:36Okay.
11:37I'm dizzy.
11:37I'll be up fine.
11:41Fun,
11:42you guys.
11:42Wow.
11:42Monique,
11:43this is crushed.
11:44It's all like a little black,
11:46lacy brothel,
11:47Idaho.
11:48Sorry,
11:48I don't want to say brothels.
11:49Idaho.
11:51Let's get back on that.
11:52Idaho.
11:53A little like mountain-y,
11:54old 1930s,
11:56mountain town
11:57in the era that you love.
11:582003,
11:592004 is like the favorite.
12:00So it's like so perfect.
12:01It's dreamy.
12:02It's beyond.
12:02And it's fun.
12:03It's so fun.
12:04I'm going to have a little fun.
12:06Yes.
12:06You got to have it so well.
12:08I mean,
12:08your body.
12:10Out.
12:10Coming from you.
12:11And it's also a two-piece.
12:12So you could wear this person again.
12:14Oh my God.
12:14She could wear this like a skirt.
12:17Can I borrow it up?
12:18Yes,
12:18of course,
12:19Al.
12:20No,
12:20it's going to go.
12:21I'll get married.
12:22Nice.
12:22Yes.
12:23Thank you,
12:24Monique.
12:25You're the best.
12:29Gorgeous.
12:30Now we just have to get there
12:31and time to party.
12:32Now it's time to get married.
12:34Love you.
12:35Love you.
12:37Now,
12:38Grace?
12:39Raise your hand
12:39if you're going out tonight.
12:40I'm going out.
12:41Yeah.
12:43Vogue,
12:44thank you for coming
12:44to the final fitting.
12:45I can't believe I get to say,
12:46Vogue,
12:47thank you for coming
12:47to the final fitting.
12:48And I will see you
12:49at the wedding.
12:56Thank you all so much.
