00:00Can I touch it?
00:04Hi, I'm Lisa, and this is my final fitting for the Met Gala
00:21Oh my god
00:27Hello, by the way
00:30Meeting him for the first time is like a warm hearted like I feel like I know him such a
00:34long time
00:35The first time she wore my pieces was maybe a good five six years ago
00:39After all these years we've been dressing her this feels very full circle and yeah, she's incredible
00:45What's the first thing that popped into my head when I first saw the look it's incredible it's art
00:51But it's my hands my arms
00:56The theme for Met this year is around this big picture of art
01:00And I think so many people are going to do what their rendition of this theme is
01:04But Robert is like the epitome of art and construction and the female body
01:09I knew he was the guy that we should go with
01:13Get it on the shoulder, there I go, you can feel how does it feel
01:17Okay, okay, okay, okay
01:20Okay
01:20Is it heavy?
01:22So we had a 3d scan done of Lisa's body and the really special thing how Robert manipulated the arms
01:29It feels very poetic to like her Thai background and the Thai dance moves that they will do and just
01:35this like beautiful poetry
01:36Of fashion and choreography that is just so Lisa
01:40Like that makes it even more special because sometimes these girls will just put on a piece of art to
01:44put on piece of art, right?
01:45But like this at the core feels like her her love for where she's from Thailand is just like it
01:51makes it so perfect
01:52I am nervous for tomorrow because my extra arms is really heavy
01:57He said it's 1.8 kilo, but I don't think so
02:01I think it's heavier than that, but I have to fight through it because the concept is costume art
02:06So it's really nice to have me as an art on the carpet
02:10Yeah, I'm just so excited to see everyone because it's my second mat for me
02:15I'm a maximalist like I really love a lot of things to just make it feel like a treasure box
02:20kind of
02:21But on Lisa, we've kept it a little bit more delicate
02:24Like there's obviously the big sapphire necklace that we both love but on the arms
02:28That's where the more is more is I think her we're keeping a little bit more
02:32Subtle because it's about the look and her beauty but with the secondary part of arms
02:36It's like stack the shit out of this bulgare and like it just makes it feel even more special and
02:42iconic
02:42He's already heavy so, you know
02:45I'm not going to guess like you know
02:45Adding a little more
02:46It's fine
02:47What's another 30 carat?
02:48Yeah
02:49I have this amazing glass blower
02:52I wanted to do a bag that looked like ice
02:54I grew up in Missouri in like a really small town
02:57So when winters came the ice would just drip down our house and it's so cool
03:02So it's stuff like this that just are like little cherries on top of already perfect couture
03:07The most exciting for tomorrow
03:12I don't know, it's just the red carpet
03:14I really want to make it work
03:16I'm scared to you know
03:19Yeah, I don't want to trip tomorrow so
03:22Let's grab both sides
03:23The underscurt
03:25And then you take a few steps back, right?
03:27So yeah, like let's go, let's go
03:28Yeah, just give it a walk and see how she can
03:30Oh my god, I'm doing a practice right now
03:32Okay, let's put the veil back on
03:34We're working out
03:36We're working out
03:37It's heavy guys
03:38Maybe I need a different shoes
03:41Which if this is the case we might need to look at shortening it a bit
03:44Because they are shortening
03:44No, I feel like the heels is like it's not gonna help me balance it
03:48These?
03:49No, the thin, I need the thicker
03:51Maybe if you're feeling good with the top part, let's take the arms off
03:55Yes
03:55And let's take the thick of these
03:59We'll try these just to see and then we'll work on thickening out a heel
04:02And we'll grab other options so it's not just focused here
04:05The dress is amazing but there's like little perfecting things that we need to do
04:09But we have a few hours basically to figure it out before tomorrow
04:13I think the only other thing is I want to add a layer of this white mesh to the skirt
04:18Yeah, exactly
04:18Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
04:19We're gonna do some beading around here to hide the seam a little
04:22We're gonna take this off here
04:23Yeah
04:24We're gonna add a little bit into the arms and the elbows and try to take the arms up a
04:27little bit
04:28We should do that
04:29I would do about like a centimeter
04:31That's fine
04:31That would be fine
04:32I am maybe a little nervous about something
04:34It's for a stylist and a creative to not be able to be with your artist on a carpet is
04:39always so hard
04:40Because I force myself on every other carpet to make sure things are good
04:43But met, you can't do that
04:45I've tried and I've gotten yelled at
04:48So this year I am putting a lot of hope into our very handsome male handlers
04:54I have a video for them to show how to take the arms off
04:57The veil I've sent a voice note
04:58Really talking them through how to beautifully take the veil off
05:01Avoiding her face avoiding the hair
05:04To really try to make it look like it's almost this choreographed piece
05:07That's always gonna be something left to do
05:09Until the second that they're on the carpet and then no longer can reach them
05:14There's always something can do
05:15Even a word of encouragement, you know
05:17Sometimes you hold an artist and say like you look incredible
05:20We got this
05:22That would be always the last thing I do
05:24You know just to make sure that we're enjoying this moment together
05:31Okay Vogue, wish me luck
05:33Bye see ya!
05:35Making art!
05:36Thank you, thank you
05:37No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
05:40All right, ciao.
