00:33When I was younger, I grew up in a pretty strict household.
00:38The only thing I had was the radio.
00:40And so because of that, that really exposed my world to just be beyond just what I was surrounded by,
00:47from music to style.
00:49And it just made me more curious about the world.
00:51Oh, my goodness. Everything looks amazing.
00:56Kitty and I just clicked, like, from day one, I guess.
01:01Just a lot of the things that I gravitated towards when it comes to fashion, Kitty also gravitated towards.
01:08So cute. So cute.
01:10Essence reminds me of just being a little girl.
01:14I used to go to the beauty salon with my mom, and the main source of entertainment was always magazines.
01:21Essence has always been a great point of reference of beauty.
01:25When I was young, there were so many women who were inspiring to me.
01:30Diana Ross, Sarah Vaughn, Diane Carroll.
01:33They just carried this level of elegance and respect that just made them so inspiring to me in how I
01:40wanted to show up in the world.

01:49And when you think of certain decades of music, there's style that is associated with it.
01:54It's just so evident and clear to me that music influences style and style influences music.

02:05The version that I'm dressing for today is me in the present.
02:09I feel like this year has been a year where I'm like, wow, like time has passed.
02:15And I am just so happy to really acknowledge how far I've gone.
02:20And I want to celebrate that.
02:23I hope this look makes Kitty feel like the flower that she is.
