05:25two games play out i like what i'm seeing out of like randy dovin a journeyman pitcher that's found
05:31a role here and is pitching well you know those stories like nick lofton continuing to take on it
05:37the responsibility of coming through in the clutch isaac collins you know he's been playing well
05:43maybe didn't get out to the best start this season but he's been playing really well since like the
05:47beginning of june so i mean i like seeing the growth and progression of those guys and what that can
05:52mean for this team next year jaylen we do have some stories that are making it kind of fun to
05:57follow
05:58notably you know the salvey home run race now is that we're in the the thick of it we got
06:02the the
06:03tied record there and you know how you know in a bad season how fun is that how nice is

06:09beat reporter to have something to write about every day as well i mean this is great you know salvey

07:39puts out a fun article of like where hall of famers stand currently and he has tiers out there i

07:45know if you've seen this and he's got a group of players in a tier that's basically already in
07:49uh a group of players that is almost certainly in and then his third tier is where he put salvey
07:55um still he's he's predicting an interesting case with salvey because you know some of these
08:02offensive numbers are no brainers but then when you get into the metrics the metrics have never loved
08:08salvey for some reason uh i i've never been in a bigger twitter fight than with yankee fans salvees
08:14year that i thought he should have been a top three mvp candidate because the metrics haven't always
08:19loved salvey but man i i i'm was i was pretty surprised by that i think salvey's a hall of

10:48catchers ever right i mean he's a world series mbp he's been an all-star blank time he's been a

10:54glover blank times he was the uh he won a world baseball classic he's he's done all these things i

10:59that's the reason that he gets the nod and this is really the first season where he hasn't been
11:04behind the plate primarily all year i mean with carter jensen being up carter's taking a lot of
11:10that catching off his plate and it's just something to be said about a guy that gets beat up every

11:17day in and day out for 15 seasons being behind the plate and like you said he has all the
11:22accolades all
11:23the awards people love him he is kansas city he is kansas city sports i mean before pastor mahomes

12:24the wall with hall of fame like the basis of the hall of fame shouldn't be exclusionary first it should
12:31be let's let's make the case to get this guy in anybody who's watched baseball has eyes and cares
12:38about the game for the last 15 years would say oh yeah salvador perez he's been the best catcher or
12:44in the conversation for the best catcher forever yeah he has a hall of famer he's the most fun player
12:49to watch play like he of course he's a hall of famer he's gonna have all that he's gonna have

12:53gold gloves he's gonna have the three home run like it's not even a like why are we even needing
12:57to have a make a case for salvador perez that's what i'm saying it was like i get it you

13:05make it so it's so exclusive to get in but that's the problem with the the hall of fame to

13:12every other hall of fame you got guys that are in regards that they were great to reporters
13:17terrible to reporters this was not good for the game at some points but they it's about what's on the
13:24field so i'm one of those people where i feel like brady bonds and roger clemens should be in the
13:29hall of fame yeah me too because you can tell you can't tell the game of baseball without those two
13:32guys right so i feel like you can't tell kansas city baseball without salvador press if the roles
13:38are one of the 30 mlb teams they're one degree players should be in the hall of fame
