00:05according to a new assessment by the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification, IPC.
00:11The global food monitor says most families still do not have enough to eat,
00:16with some resorting to begging and scavenging to survive.
00:22The report said that acute malnutrition has fallen, especially among children.
00:26After food supplies and nutrition services improved following the October 2025 ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
00:34But the IPC warned those gains could soon be reversed if humanitarian access deteriorates.
00:40Between mid-April and late June, more than 1.2 million people were experiencing crisis-level hunger or worse,
00:48including about 212,000 living under emergency conditions.
00:53By December, the IPC expects more than 1.4 million people,
00:58around two-thirds of Gaza's population, to face acute food insecurity.
