00:28Kampar MP Chong Zemin said the alleged remarks made at a ceramah in Jempol Negeri Sembilan last night
00:35implied that Chinese and Indians belonged to other countries while Malays only had Tanah Melayu.
00:43Chong said the remarks were insulting to millions of Malaysians of Chinese and Indian descent
00:49who were born, raised, and built their lives in this country.
00:53He accused Sanusi, who is also the Kedah Menteri Besar, of using racial rhetoric as an election strategy
01:00and warned that it could foster hostility between communities and threaten national harmony.
01:07Chong stressed that Malaysian, Chinese, and Indians were not citizens of China or India,
01:13but Malaysians with only one country and loyalty to Malaysia.
01:17He also called on Barisan national leaders, particularly those from MCA and MIC,
01:24to clarify their positions as the alleged remarks were made at a joint BNPN political rally.
01:31Chong also urged Sanusi to withdraw the remarks and apologize.
