01:26How can you have that political conversation through fashion?
01:28I feel like the thing about fashion, it's like a microcosm of something bigger.
01:33You can use it as an example for bigger things because of how material and commerce travel
01:40around the world and how many people it exploits through the cost of making something to how
01:46much it costs someone right at the end to then who's making it and what the conditions
01:51are like for them to work in, for it to get there, the carbon print it takes to travel
01:55it across.
01:56So there's so much that fashion holds, but it's also a space where we're selling a story,

02:03Like fashion is about selling a lifestyle.
02:06It's dress how you want to be and amongst that, this illusion.
02:10So we as consumers have this idea of like, if I buy this skirt, I'm going to be a different
02:16woman.

02:28So there's, I think there's so many levels of fashion that allows for these things to

02:35Like it's a great entry point to think about, like, which is why people end up pushing and
02:39wanting certain things is because it is true that you could be a young dude from Compton and
02:43be Tyler, the creator.

02:45Where the way that you look when you walk, I mean, that's the whole dapper thing.

02:52treat you different and perceive you different depending on what you're wearing in fashion.
