04:23against sex ed came during the sexual revolution of the 60s and 70s groups like the Christian crusade
04:29believed that sex education promoted moral depravity while serving as a backdoor for communist
04:35indoctrination because horny people hate freedom and owning private property by 1975 20 state legislatures
04:43had voted to restrict or abolish sex education and thus began the rise of abstinence only sex ed if it
04:49weren't for the AIDS and HIV epidemic in the 80s sex ed might have disappeared completely right now 37
04:56states teach abstinence as a form of birth control and in 35 states parents can opt out their kids from
05:02sex ed completely the gaps in sex education have real impact on young people roughly one in four women
05:08will become pregnant at least once before their 20th birthday hashtag teen mom and people 15 to 24 account
