00:03Dear Emmet, let yourself feel it. It's okay to be scared. No one else has it all figured
00:11out either. But trust us, you'll find your way. If you love something, it's worth fighting
00:17for, including yourself. Being a transgender man is going to be one of the most challenging
00:23and one of the most fantastic experiences of your life. Revel in every moment of it,
00:28because you are the only one living it. It may temporarily strain your close relationships.
00:34Don't let that overwhelm you. It's okay to put your happiness first. And don't worry so much.
00:39It's okay to disappoint other people. You're never going to make everyone happy anyway.
00:44Be in love with yourself, seriously. Follow your heart and your passion, always. Even when people
00:51try to talk you out of it, and they will try to talk you out of it. Your creative work
00:55will be
00:55one of the most enriching and rewarding parts of your life. By making yourself visible
01:01in a public space, you will find the most honest and genuine of human connections. Feel every
01:09minute of every day. Be vulnerable. Feel it deeply. And love all of it. Take the hormones.
01:15Love again. Keep writing. And don't be afraid to cry. It's okay to cry. Love. Me.
