Okay, okay, we know — it seems like there's another It Girl born every minute. But you've really got to hear us out when it comes to Laura Harrier. Yes, she's a beautiful model/actress with serious chops and a growing IMDB page (One Life To Live and a certain upcoming movie-musical costarring our beloved Anna Kendrick).  But it's more than her looks or talent that's got us interested. As you'll see, Harrier's attitude is a real refresher, and — just as important — the lady's got style to spare. That's why we shoehorned our way into her cute and appropriately small New York apartment (she's a budding It Girl, after all) to check out what's in her jam-packed closet. What we got was a lesson in layering leathers, overalls, and Old Navy sweaters from a rising star we won't forget.

00:12Hey, I'm Laura Harrier. I am an actress and a model. I live in the East Village. I'm originally from

00:17Chicago, but I've been in New York for about five years.

00:20I guess my style is sort of, it's really hard. I mean, it literally changes every day. I love fall.

00:25I love wearing blazers and little dresses and black tights and boots, and it's my favorite fashion season, I would

00:32say. So yes, I'm just really looking forward to transitioning my summer pieces into fall, which I do with big

00:39scarves and hats.

00:40I guess a memorable piece in my closet would be this little two-piece dress skirt top combo that I

00:49have that I wore the first time I was on VH1's morning show. Throw on my trusty leather jacket and

00:55then a scarf.

00:56Just for, like, every day running around the city, like, having meetings and stuff, this is kind of a ghost.

01:02So here I have this all-black monochromatic look with the Old Navy black sweater. I love it for this

01:07little embellishment right here. Black leather skirt and little suede booties.

01:12So even though it's all the same color, these are all different textures and fabrics, and it kind of keeps

01:17it a little more interesting than just being all one flat thing.

01:22This is a dress that I love. I love florals and patterns. For a more tailored look, I like to

01:28put on my favorite blazer on top of it. Makes it a little more polished, I think.

01:32I like the schoolboy vibe of it. So I love these overalls. They're something I was wearing all summer, but

01:40now I am wearing them into the fall, thanks to my favorite sweater.

01:44I love them. They're, like, the most awesome comfy thing ever. My friends always tell me I look like a

01:49painter or, like, Bob the Builder or something when I wear them.

01:53So I'm determined to wear them all year round and show them that they're cool. I love, like, loafers, like,

01:57once again, like, kind of, like, little boy-inspired styles. That's super weird.
