A Sunfish (Mola Mola) is one of the heaviest bony fish in the world and is famous for its unusual, flattened body shape. Found in tropical and temperate oceans worldwide, these gentle giants can weigh over 2,000 kilograms (4,400 pounds).

Sunfish spend much of their time near the ocean surface, often basking in the sun, which is how they got their name. They mainly feed on jellyfish, small fish, squid, and other soft-bodied marine creatures.

Despite their enormous size, sunfish are peaceful and slow-moving animals. Their strange appearance and massive size make them one of the most fascinating creatures of the open ocean. 🌊🐟☀️
