00:13Painting the mural, got an email from someone claiming to be him.
00:17It was a really strange time for me.
00:20A lot of attention that I'm not generally used to.
00:23Everyone loved the mural.
00:25It turned into almost like a tourist attraction or something.
00:27There was dozens of people down there all the time taking selfies and bullshit like that.
00:30I was probably the most talked about piece of art this year.
00:34I was getting media requests from name a country
00:37and I probably got an email from someone from that country.
00:40To get your work and your name thrust into that many people's faces is super rare.
00:48I was incredibly lucky and it's made a huge difference.
00:51I've been flat out ever since really.
00:53This year's been kind of cool.
00:55The Mike Baird mural was one that I kind of really enjoyed.
00:59I just recently had a solo exhibition that I held kind of guerrilla style on a Sydney train.
01:04It wasn't legal or sanctioned so it took a lot of planning.
01:08It also kind of combined my background in painting trains with my art,
01:13which is something that I try to do a lot and it definitely makes it a lot more fun.
01:17Art was always the thing that I was good at as a kid.
01:20So it was always the thing that I kind of enjoyed in school.
01:23Then through kind of my teens and my early twenties, I got super into graffiti.
01:29That kind of kept me engaged creatively.
01:32My style is very loose.
01:34It's a lot of drips and a lot of expressive mark making.
01:36A lot of hard work.
01:38A lot of kind of being poor for a long time.
01:43A lot of stolen groceries.
01:46Yeah, that's about it.
01:47I don't know, you just keep plugging away at it and it seems like it's never going to work out,
01:51but it just has, you know.
01:52I'm a big Italian fan than I was before.
