00:00I'm Podrick Fox, the global brand ambassador for Guinness.
00:02We're going to demonstrate what a lovely pint looks like and how to pour it.
00:06So first step is we are going to take our Guinness glass.
00:09We're ready to pour it.
00:10We're going to put it under the nozzle at about a 45 degree angle right here.
00:13One smooth movement and that lets the beer just flow in.
00:16I'm going to use the harp here on the front of the glass as my guide.
00:19I'll tilt my glass upright.
00:21Now this is the key thing for Guinness.
00:22It's a two-part pour.
00:23So on our first pour, fill it to the top of the harp.
00:25This is the perfect part of the glass where the head is going to form.
00:28Really important when you're serving that you make sure to do this in the two parts.
00:33Single-part pour, it's not going to look as good.
00:35It's not going to taste as good.
00:36So once we get the clear separation of the dark liquid underneath
00:39and the lovely white foam on top, we're going to top it up.
00:42So take my glass back, pop it back under the tap.
00:45This time, instead of putting it towards me, I'm going to push it back towards you.
00:48This gives me much more control over the top of the pour.
00:51So nice and easy, push my harp back.
00:54As it starts to fill the glass, I'm going to go just a little bit
00:58over the top of the glass to give it that beautiful dome just coming over the top of it.
01:04Presented to you without any spills.
01:06Just absolutely beautiful.
