00:00The A's find themselves out of it yet again in another season.
00:03The pitching just completely going south for them,
00:05and the hitting going cold, Nick Kurtz on the injured list.
00:08So a great opportunity, I think, here, Tom,
00:10for the Diamondbacks to sort of put the foot down here.
00:13Now, naturally, the pitching matchup, not great for Arizona.
00:17Gallin hasn't pitched great, and he's been out.
00:19But they got Bratt, they got Drake.
00:21These are unknown names, pretty much, for Arizona.
00:24And then, of course, Merrill Kelly will start on Wednesday.
00:26I actually think the A's pitching matchups may be a little bit better here,
00:29but you're talking about a team playing without Nick Kurtz, please.
00:33There's no way that I can take the A's in this series.
00:37This is a big time for the Diamondbacks.
00:39You have always alluded to the Diamondbacks, good or bad,
00:43they're always aggressive at the trade deadline.
00:45And being able to take two of three or sweep the athletics,
00:48I think, is paramount for them.
00:50They are one and a half games back, at least as of now,
00:52from the NL wildcard, and there's a mess of teams all within three games.
00:57Losing two of the three is really, really detrimental to them.
01:00They need to take two of the three against, I'm not going to say significantly worse team,
01:04but a team that's worse and also missing their best aspect on offense with Nick Kurtz,
01:08as you said, being on the IL.
01:09So the pitching is not going to be great for the Diamondbacks,
01:11but they need to find a way to win two of the three.
01:13It's that simple.
01:14Yeah.
01:15I mean, you think about Tori Lovello's been with that club managing a really long time at this point.
01:19Yeah.
01:20And it's a very well-run organization.
01:22You never feel like Arizona's out of it.
01:24They may not win it, but you feel like they're always kind of hanging around.
01:27And I sort of feel like that again this year.
