00:46He'll be looking at himself the way he's been doing to everybody else

01:13being really aggressive,
01:14because I think he understands what he needs to do,
01:17and it's almost like he's racing himself
01:20by racing Hunter Lawrence.
01:22But Hunter's doing a great job at holding him off.
01:26And they're already looking at the gap they got over in third place already.
01:29Yeah, Prado made the move on web, but it's already about three seconds back.
01:36Deegan still battling Hampshire a little bit further back,
01:39and look at Hunter.
01:40Nice work through that section for him.
01:43It stretches it just a little bit.

02:24He obviously went on the track,
02:26but then we saw Deegan march his way up.
02:29Jorge wasn't able to do that,
02:30so hopefully he can continue this as these guys out front.
02:34His biggest thing is just to be fight for him.
02:36Even if the guys out front shows away, he's got to fight.
02:39You know, eventually number 38 is coming.
02:42Yeah, they dropped back around Webb.

02:47Prado, Hampshire, Deegan have gotten him.

03:05Let's see if Hayden, this line that he was using his first moto still works.
03:09Like they worked on the track a little bit,
03:10so it might not be as good,
03:11but as I say that, there he goes.

03:19Deegan on fire here again in Moto2.
03:21But look, guys, he's already seven seconds down,
03:24and that's what makes the job so difficult for Hayden to go against the Lawrences.
03:27Not only do they get the start,
03:29not only do they have blinding speed,
03:31but they rarely make mistakes, too,
03:33so you almost have to be perfect to even get to see them.
03:36That's the most difficult part about this thing for Hayden.
03:39He's learning.
03:39He's trying to chase the very best in the world,
03:41but you have to be perfect on top of that to even be in the fight.
03:45Yeah, and I agree with that, JT,
03:47and that's the difference between the 250 class at Hayden.
03:50It's obviously getting better,
03:51but he'll figure out, like, yeah, as you mentioned,
03:54he's got to have everything on point to compete
03:56because in the 250 class, he can have these starts,
03:58and nobody was really that consistent as TomDill goes around Cooper Webb.
04:03Nobody's really that consistent in the class
04:04to put that amount of pressure on you,
04:06but here in this 450 class, it is hard.
04:10And the big man there from Norway with that pass on Webb,
04:13you mentioned up to six.
04:15He's going to be the best moto of the year for him.
04:18Corn dog, as they call him, Cornelius.
04:21He told me this morning that actually it was a nickname
04:23Trey Canard came up with.
04:24The Honda was helping him out last year a little bit,
04:27and so he's working with Trey, who's over there with that team,
04:30came up with the corn dog nickname.
04:31Not what you would think for a Norwegian.
04:35He is rolling right now.
04:37Hayley.
04:38Well, this is somewhat of a seamless transition partnership-wise
04:41from Bubba Pauly's team to Monster Energy Kawasaki
04:44because of that co-partnership with Kawasaki.
04:47But Cornelius Tondel, he told me earlier this morning
04:49that this is a dream come true.
04:52Bubba Pauly didn't want to let him go,
04:54but Bubba told me that he would resent me if I held him back.
04:58So, Cornelius Tondel, I really like to see this result.
05:00He looks looking to improve off of his first moto.
05:03Yeah, and he was working hard with that team.
05:05Bubba was telling me during the weekend off after High Point,
05:08they really put in the work, really focused on those top tens.
05:12And then he was rewarded with this ride with Kawasaki.
05:14Now, Cornelius said last week going to the Southwick,
05:16he was already pretty smoked coming into the race
05:18because all the testing he was doing to get used to this factory bike.
05:22A little bit more of a usual schedule this week for him,
05:25and a little bit more of the usual with the Lawrences.
05:28This time, Jet has caught back up to Hunter, and the battle is on.
05:32Yeah, great to see this.
05:33We thought maybe Hunter was starting to get away,
05:36and just like that first moto, once he did that,
05:38he was able to ride away.
05:39But Jet understands the moment.
05:41Last weekend was the same thing in that first moto,
05:44understanding that, look, I cannot let my brother beat me from behind.
05:48And he was able to answer.
05:49Even though he goes down, he answers.
05:51And this one, kind of the same situation.
05:55Great to see him responding.
05:59As they're doing that, they're pulling away from everybody else.
06:12And the fans have come to respect it.
06:15Another Hunter vs. Jet battle.
06:22Hunter almost lost the front end.
06:24Right there, going in that corner, hit that slippery spot.
06:29Jet's got some serious momentum now.
06:32Here it comes.
06:35Is he close enough?

06:39Yeah, but like these guys, they know each other.
06:42Hunter understands exactly what Jet's doing.
06:45And, you know, he's been in the same spot where he's been able to close on Jet.
06:48And when Hunter was behind, then Jet, you know, has these bursts of speed.
06:51So, well, older brother started teaching younger brother.
06:54Look, I know you've been doing this thing, but I was here first.
06:58Let me show you how it's done.
06:59Nonetheless, we got a little family feud on here.

07:04These boys are fighting again.
07:07Well, you're seeing it in real time how they take each other to another level.

07:16Jet's going to slow down, try to square up Hunter.
07:18He wants to stay on the inside of him and try to cut back here.
07:22If he can get on the inside, charge down that hill we saw.
07:26Hunter was not letting it happen.
07:28Anybody else but Hunter, it would have got awkward at the dinner table with that one.
07:32Jet would have made that pass.
07:33But, look, family first.
07:36They've always preached that.
07:38Jet might have had an opportunity.
07:39Now, Hunter knows that.
07:41So, it might be an opportunity that Jet might have wasted if Hunter understands and started blocking it.
07:46Yeah, but what's interesting is you're seeing different lines from both of them all over the track.
07:51Let's see if Jet has another spot.

07:56That one's a little bit too one line for him.
07:58He's jumping into this corner earlier.
07:59Yeah, he's trying to get to the outside to set up for the inside.
08:02Yeah, well, the lines that you're seeing right now, Hunter hasn't been riding those all day long.
08:07But what he's doing is defending where his brother is.
08:09So, Hunter knows that Jet's going to run.
08:11Right now, he has that flow.
08:12So, I'm just trying to keep him behind him so it's more protective.
08:16So, some of these lines you're going to see.
08:17Jet's going to close in a lot as he goes in here.
08:20Hold out tight.
08:25Unreal this battle.
08:30And Jet didn't get the momentum into the sand whoops he did last time, but he still finds a way.
08:35Yeah, Hunter made a mistake and bared to bike.
08:37And because Jet didn't get that momentum, he missed that opportunity to pass.
08:42I think this is the battle we've been waiting for.
08:44We have said they've been swapping the wins and the point lead, but not bar-to-bar on the track.
08:49We've got it now.
08:51Hunter's doing everything to keep his younger brother behind him.
08:54Jet, this is great.
08:55Now Jet's going to scrub.
08:56He's going to have the inside of Hunter.
08:57Let's see if he closes them all.
08:59Jet's going to have this pass here from Hunter.

09:21So because Jet tried that opportunity, Hunter just closed it off.

09:28Hunter's going to get stuck in his corner.

09:44Hunter did everything right.
09:45But Jet just answered that last one.
09:48Kind of caught Hunter while he was protecting them.
09:50Now let's see what the number one can do.
09:52Deegan and Prado for third in the bottom, JT.
09:55Yeah, and that's the first time we've really seen those two go head-to-head like I was asking for
10:00a Moto 1.
10:01But the job is doubly difficult there for Jet because you can't race the same way you'd race someone else.
10:06You can't be overly aggressive.
10:07You can't go in there and knock them out of the way.
10:09So you kind of have to use kid gloves when you're handling your brother because both of you are in
10:14the same family.
10:15You're on the same team.
10:15You're battling for the same championship.
10:17So that's a really difficult ask for Jet to force a pass there.
10:20Yeah, no, absolutely.
10:21And you can tell by that because some of these corners that Hunter was on the outside,
10:26he stayed in the gas because he knows Jet probably wouldn't hit him.
10:29But I got to suspect that this battle keeps going.
10:33At some point during this championship, somebody's going to knock over the salt shaker in this one.
10:38Deegan all over Prado.
10:40Yeah, here the Lawrence is the last thing you want is to take each other out.
10:43Deegan's the one that's third of the championship.
10:45You don't want to help him out at all.
10:47That's for sure.
10:49Deegan trying to help himself to get a piece of Prado.
10:53Yeah, but Jorge's really picking up the pace and fighting.
10:57He's been close, and he closed in.
10:59But it's like what we've seen a couple times this year.
11:01When Jorge gets inspired, man, he is hard to pass.
11:06At the same time, they wasn't losing too much time to the guys in front of him.
11:10Even though they got out, kind of stabilized.
11:12Now Jet's turned on the Alta Burner.
11:14Good ride by Jorge considering how that first moto went.
11:19Yeah, you see Prado right there.
11:20You think that guy's got to be leading, right?
11:22Because he is flying right now.
11:24But it's still 13 seconds off of Lawrence.
11:28So two different battles with some very capable and accomplished riders.
11:34Yeah, this is good.
11:36And go back to last weekend.
11:38One of those, when Hunter went down, these two were able to capitalize and get on the podium
11:42because that one small mistake.
11:43So as we're looking at Tony into the pits, I don't know if he saw he crashed or a bike
11:49problem,
11:49but nonetheless, it's a tough second moto for him.
11:53And hey, Deacon scores up Jorge Prado.
11:56Outside, and he's got him.
11:58All right, let's see if Jorge can stay on the 38.
12:02Just continue fighting.
12:06He's already starting to get the gap already.
12:07It was a good tussle between these two for a couple of weeks
12:10to really establish the next best in this series.
12:13But Deacon got the better of it in Moto 1 and looking to do it again in Moto 2.
12:25He's already got a couple of seconds over Jorge that quickly.
12:33Now remember, second half of Moto 1, and obviously Deacon rode well in the first half to come through,
12:37but he was really on the move in the final sectors of that first moto.
12:43He doesn't get tired.
12:44We know that.
12:45Nah, he won't for sure.
12:47But George Smith.
12:50Yeah.
12:50Top seven.
12:51Keep it wet.
12:53Solid day for him.

13:15Tondal has gone back to 13th behind Bloss.

13:22Tough day for him, considering what he's been.
13:25Check in with Tomac.
13:27So, obviously, the result today, this is not up to the usual standards of the four-time champion,
13:31but how much better is Tomac going to be in the next couple of races,
13:35maybe after the break, Unadilla, because he's getting these laps right now?
13:39He's got to be better.
13:40I mean, just everything.
13:42He'll work on the bike.
13:43Eli will work on himself.
13:44And Eli has too much pride to just continue to ride around like this.
13:47He would have never came back if he thought, hey, I'm just going to be a 10-place guy.
13:51So, there's a lot of emotions going through it.
13:53We don't know how much longer he's going to continue to race, but at the same time, he's here to
13:58compete.
13:58And for him, he'll only get better for sure.
14:03And he's battling his own rival, Justin Marcia.
14:06They've been racing their whole lives.
14:07And they're about equal, by the way.
14:09They're both climbing rapidly the all-time starts list together.
14:13Marcia and Tomac.
14:15Marcia got a couple extra starts on him this year, but now Tomac's back.
14:19Dillon Ferrandes on the Ducati.
14:21They're the 14th.
14:23He's moved into this fight.
14:25Yeah, Dillon and Ducati had a great first moto hat.
14:29All their guys within the top ten.
14:32Unfortunately, we lost Tony here, but a good ride by these guys.
14:37Yeah, Eli.
14:41Trying to hang on against Ferrandes to 2021, 450 Pro Motocross champion.
14:47And March Banks has caught Ferrandes.
14:55And the reason I talked about in the first moto when I was looking at Eli, just to be charging
14:59down the hills, it looked like he was very timid.
15:02And I thought maybe it was more of a bike setup rather than him, because on these flat
15:06parts, he's able to really charge.
15:08I mean, he's able to pull away from Dillon right here, and he was able to do that in
15:12the first moto.
15:12But then, as the track goes on, he's going down these hills.
15:15He's going kind of a bit slow compared to what we normally see Eli.
15:19And you see the guy behind him close up as it's like Garrett has a run on the inside
15:23of Dillon Ferrandes here.
15:27Yeah, he got it, James.
15:28So that will move him up into 10th.
15:30Halfway through this moto.

15:39He's in the top five.
15:41The fans picked him for fifth place, so Garrett understands he don't want to let the fans

15:54He wasn't.
15:54But Tondal must have made a mistake a couple of laps ago, because he was ahead of this group.
16:00Now, it's interesting to see March Banks and Tomac.
16:02That's what led to Tomac's undoing first lap of the season.
16:06Lines came together.
16:07They collided.
16:09March Banks said when he saw Tomac at the track in California this week, they were both riding
16:13the public tracks.
16:13He apologized again, Tomac said we're all good.
16:17Now they're going to battle on the track.
16:18Hopefully, don't bump wheels this time.
16:21Yeah, Garrett's probably going to try to stay away.
16:23He's like, Eli, hey, I'm back here.
16:24Just let you know.
16:25Don't want those lines to come through.
16:27But you can see how much more speed.
16:30There you go right there.
16:31Eli had that inside.
16:32But, yeah, just not able to charge down the hills for whatever reason.
16:36And here, make that pass up pretty easy.
16:39So, you'll see me continue to move up.
16:40Got Justin Barsha a second in front of him.
16:43And about 10 seconds back.
16:46A little less than that to Jordan Smith in front of seven.
16:49Yeah, and it becomes the first pro motocross race for Tomac on that bike.
16:54So, you know they're going to learn heading to Washougal and then a couple of weekends off for Unadilla.
16:59This is the guy who just doesn't get enough attention because he's always right around here.
17:05Fifth.
17:07But today, he might get his love.
17:09If he can get to Prado, he's got to make up five seconds.
17:12He would get the overall podium.
17:14He got the podium at the first moto.
17:16He's been just off of the overall podium in several rounds this year.
17:19If he can get Prado, three, four.
17:22We'll get him on the box, Haley.
17:25Yeah, in his words, coming into this week.
17:52And he says, I have a lot more to give than I've been able to show.
17:55And, Jason, why can't you mention some of the suspension tweaks or methods that they've implemented coming into this weekend.
18:01It has to have him feeling good.
18:03Yeah, pretty wild deal.
18:04I mean, James, you live this.
18:06You test something at home.
18:07And I guess they don't bring that part.
18:08They just bring the equivalent to the race.
18:10It's supposed to feel the same.
18:12I guess most of the time it does.
18:13But he said for some reason, when he first gets on the bike, he goes back to chasing it on
18:19Saturday morning in practice.
18:21So this week, he just brought a suspension from his practice bike.
18:24Yeah, I've done that a couple of times.
18:26Okay.
18:26And what happens is that they rebuild these bikes every weekend.
18:29So they put fresh parts on there.
18:31They rebuild the suspension.
18:32So when you come to a race, the bike's new.
18:35So it takes a minute for it to break down, like break in to where you're comfortable.
18:39So he's probably coming here.
18:41The bike's not feeling quite where he wants it.
18:43He starts chasing it.
18:44And then he gets off his setup because he's chasing a rigid motorcycle.
18:48And so what R.J. did, he brought what he felt like he's been riding all week long, threw it
18:52on the motorcycle, comes out, podium's the first race.
18:54And if you can get around Jorge Prado, have his first podium of the year.
18:58So whatever it is, it's more of a mindset.
19:01It probably is the same.
19:02But just that feeling of break-in time, we don't have that much time to give here at the race.
19:06And he was 9 tenths quicker than Prado last time around.
19:10R.J. said you would know immediately if this worked.
19:12And he was very quick in the first qualifying session.
19:15So that was a sign that bringing the forks from home was the way to go.
19:19Can he get to Prado and get that podium?
19:21Well, you know how expensive it is to check luggage on the airport.
19:24You know he's going to make sure that bike works.
19:26Got to get that money back.
19:27Yeah.
19:28Big podium bonus in or out potentially for the veteran from Florida on the 24th.
19:34Yeah, he's starting to see him.
19:36And we know R.J., we talked about it at the first moto.
19:38He does not have the word quit in him.
19:40Jorge knows that as well.
19:42I'm sure these two have written together down at Maker's Factory.
19:45So they know each other.
19:48R.J. also knows if he gets this pass, he'll be on the podium today.
19:54Right now, Deegan would have third overall.
19:59But R.J. keeps digging.

20:06Jet Lawrence returning a favor to Hunter Lawrence.
20:10Just like he did to him in that first moto.

20:19Yeah, it looked like Hunter had him on the ropes even early in this moto.
20:22Let alone what he did to him in moto one.
20:25Now, nearly within sight of Hampshire is Prado.

20:35He's showing mental toughness this year.

20:39Hey, James, just wondering if you see kind of what I'm seeing, but more of the why.
20:43Just Jet looks so much more aggressive this moto than he did in moto one.
20:46Like he could push, he wasn't so hesitant, like you mentioned, on lap one of moto one.
20:51What do you think that is?
20:52Is that bike change?
20:53Is that him feeling more comfortable?
20:54Because it's certainly noticeable on my end.
20:56Yeah, no, I agree with you.
20:57And I think there's a couple of things.
20:58I don't think Jet's ever had anybody do what Hunter did to him in that first moto.
21:02Because we heard of Jet on the podium, and I was interested to hear that.
21:06When he goes, you know, look, the track was a little sketchy in the beginning.
21:10I relaxed, and I thought I'd be able to settle in and catch Hunter.
21:14But Hunter kept pulling away, and I tried going faster.
21:17He did, and he couldn't do anything about it.
21:20So the second moto, Jet didn't have that.
21:22He understood that Hunter would do the same thing to him.
21:25We know how strong Hunter is in the second half of the moto.
21:28So Jet just went out there and knew he had to beat Hunter, and he had to do it early
21:33in this moto.
21:33And that's what he did.
21:34And that's the difference to me.
21:37Cooper Webb goes down.
21:39He was running sixth.
21:41Loots a couple spots.
21:42Smith and Marchbank's going to get by.
21:44This is Oldenburg about to go a lap down to Jens, who crashes while leaning and got pegged by the
21:50bike.
21:51Oh, no.
21:52Oh, man.
21:55And he's stuck, or is he hurt?
21:57Yeah, he's stuck underneath the motorcycle.
21:59Looks like he moved.
21:59Hopefully, he's stuck.
22:01And I go back to the keys to the moto with these guys.
22:04Overall, he's still there.
22:06He can't get up from the bike.
22:08Finally.
22:11Well, again, I hope he's all right.
22:12He got tagged in the leg.
22:14Oh.
22:17Yeah, and what you can't see, that's that new section they put in at Mount Martin.
22:20But if you see from a front shot, that jump is really a lot of braking bumps, and it's a
22:27hard section right before.
22:28So it looked like Jet started losing the front end.
22:30He caught those ruts off the face of that, and he goes down.
22:33But this is where you've got to remember, look, you're still in a championship, but you've got to get up
22:39because you cannot lose any more points to this guy, Hunter Lawrence.
22:44You see, all is good.
22:46Now he's on the inside.
22:47Now look at the face of that jump.
22:49So as he gets on, he's a little bit farther inside than probably once.
22:52He gets caught by the bike.
22:54The handlebar was in his boot.
22:55The handlebar went in to the top of his boot.
22:58That was the problem.
23:00And then if the handlebar is wedged in the ground, he can't get the boot out.
23:03Yeah, now watch his front end.
23:04You can see it pop up there nice, and then he does a good job at not losing it before.
23:09And then at the point, he kind of throws the bike away.
23:11But then, yeah, the handlebar and his boot, I'm glad he's okay.
23:17But, yeah.
23:18That could hurt bad.
23:19But, yeah, luckily, I think he's all right.
23:21We saw what Adrenaline could do last week.
23:23So he is going back to fifth.
23:27But can he get back up the pace?
23:29And Hunter Lawrence now looking at a 1-1.
23:33Yeah, wow.
23:35I almost don't want to say anything.
23:37Yeah.
23:37Because every time we do, something happens.
23:40Now, both motos last week.
23:43Jet appeared to have moto one in hand, fell.
23:45Hunter appeared to have moto two in hand, fell.
23:48You've seen more crashes from Jet Lawrence.
23:52I'm going to say this year, this is a rough estimate.
23:54of my mind, this year that we've seen in any of his previous 450 seasons combined.
23:59And you don't know if that goes back to the foot injury.
24:04Yeah.
24:06Hampshire has caught Prado now, still needs his pass.
24:10Yeah, because that ball with Jet now moves Nate Deegan up to second place.
24:15Jets in third.
24:15So, RJ makes this pass.
24:17He'll knock Jet Lawrence off.
24:19Unless Jet Lawrence can get around somebody else.
24:21But, yeah, the person he has to pass is RJ.
24:24But, yeah, going back to your point about Jet, I actually think this was just the track erasing
24:29incident rather than maybe some of the other crashes that we've got.
24:32Maybe at Southwake.
24:32He's playing with the mechanics area.

24:34Yeah, that's a brutal part of that racetrack and you really can't see from this angle, but that face is
24:40really hard.
24:40I've seen a lot of guys not double that, just caught the number one out.
24:46Caught the 26 is what the 24 has done.

24:50Hampshire going for his first overall podium of the year.
24:54It would actually be Hayden Deegan's second overall.

25:05So, push Jet off the podium if Hampshire makes this move.

25:11And you would assume that RJ, the way he's caught him, he would have him.
25:15But one thing where Jorge always figures out how to muster it up and, you know, keep these guys behind

25:37That's about a second slower than Prado and Hampshire, but not a disastrous lap time.
25:43Although, we go back to Sasha Kunin last week.
25:44You never know with these guys how tough they are.

25:48And it would be a big points haul for Hunter Lawrence.
25:52Right now, you can see the left side of the screen.
25:54Overall, for the day, he would get 11 on Jet.
25:56He would leave with a 10-point lead.

26:00All on the back of one mistake by the number one.
26:04Yeah, well, the good thing is I feel like Jet's okay because we saw in that camera angle,
26:08he was waving somebody to come because his boot was caught and he couldn't get up.
26:12His bike was caught in his boot.
26:13So, if he was hurt, he probably wouldn't be doing that.
26:16But even more to these two in this championship.
26:19We saw last weekend, it looked like Hunter Lawrence had Jet on the ropes and he finally broke him.
26:24Then he goes down.
26:25And so, you start wondering who had the momentum.
26:27Was it Hunter or was it Jet?
26:29But now, in the same thing, Hunter had the momentum this first moto.
26:32RJ almost did the same thing as he did right there.
26:36Well, now, Jet had Hunter covered, broke him, and he goes down.
26:40So, yeah, he loses 10 points in this championship.
26:42But you can argue that the momentum might be back in the number one,
26:46the way he was able to rebound this moto.
26:49But who knows with these kids.
26:51They're both close.
26:52And luckily for us, we get to witness it every weekend.
26:56The twist and turns of that championship battle between the brothers.
27:01And as you expected, you said it, Prado, he is stingy with it.
27:05Hefshard did so much work to get to him.
27:08But now he can't get close enough to make the move.
27:13I remember being in these spots where RJ and I would get so mad that I catch this guy.
27:18And I'm like, yeah, I got him.
27:19And then all of a sudden, he picks up the pace.
27:21And I'm starting to make mistakes.
27:22And then because I'm getting angry, I make more mistakes.
27:25A lot has got to go.
27:26But that's all because of what Jorge is picking up that pace.
27:29RJ thought he had him.
27:31But he's got to regroup again.
27:32What kind of conversation do you have in the mind under the helmet in these scenarios?

28:38Yeah, that's why I go back to that mistake by Jet.

28:49Now, that's the same thing on the face of that jump.

28:55Now, you see all these shadows.
28:56You got a lap router in front of them.
28:58Now, this is that hard base.
28:59It's off camera.
29:00You see that front end wash right there.
29:01He wanted to get back on the inside of his ruts, but he couldn't because the front end watches.
29:06He gets cross-rut it, dismounts off the motorcycle.
29:09And unfortunately for him, the bike is caught in his boot, which really costs them the laptop positions right there.
29:16Yeah, it might have been able to get up in second, but that's not the case.
29:20He's all the way back to fifth.
29:21That puts the podium still in reach.
29:24For the 24, right now it would be Hunter Lawrence, Hayden Deegan.
29:30Jet Lawrence, podium.
29:32This would be two second-place finishes in the second motos in a row for Hayden.
29:36Look, it did come off the backs of crashes for the Lawrence since the last two weeks,
29:41but he's going to take confidence any way he can get it.
29:44As for Hunter Lawrence, it's just scoreboard time.
29:48It looked like Jet had him maybe covered in this moto.
29:50The scoreboard is going to say 1-1 and the red plate if he holds on.
29:55If he holds on.
29:56Yeah, absolutely.
29:57I mean, at this point, yeah, I just, I think it's crazy on how what we saw in that first
30:02moto,
30:02how easily he was able to ride away from his brother.
30:05And then the strategy change of understanding that, okay, Jet's going to try to attack.
30:10I said early in the moto that, hey, I'm Jet, I got to attack Hunter Lawrence early in his moto.
30:15He did, but Hunter showed his race craft, did his best of holding him back, switching his lines up.
30:20And, yeah, Jet and they want to get around them.
30:22But at the end of the day, like you said, he holds on for another two laps.
30:26He's going to say 1-1.
30:27And the Bigger Points League.
30:30Yes, but as we've seen in both classes, I don't know if the red plate, that's what you want.
30:35Let's go to the mantle.
30:36It's good what you're holding on the podium, but it has been cursed this year in both classes.
30:42Yeah, nobody's going to have to change the font, I mean, the color.
30:46A little difference in the red, just make it a little darker red or lighter red, switch it up.
30:50Yeah, the superstition might go a long way, but Hunter Lawrence, it's the race where he had a big breakthrough
30:56last year.
30:57It was Moto 1, Jet went down early, made a charge, got to second, and could not close.
31:02And it was really the arrival that Hunter was there to fight Jet.
31:06He's very good in the second half of the season.
31:08They battled for the World Championship in the playoffs, down to the wire.
31:13And then Jet not able to race Supercross this year with the injury, and Hunter, an incredible season indoors from
31:18him, did not get the title.
31:20That went to Ken Rockson, but he showed he is as elite as it gets, indoors and out, and that
31:27story continues.
31:28Yes, it does.
31:29And just going back and talking about earlier when they were racing each other and Hunter was staying in it,
31:34Jet wouldn't hit him.
31:35That's what makes it harder for a lot of these guys, like Hayden Deegan, the challenge to beat both these
31:40brothers,
31:40because they are battling, and normally when you're battling a guy, you have to have that sense of fear of
31:45that,
31:45hey, man, this guy might run it in.
31:47But when these two race, they race in a way where they don't slow each other down.
31:51So they continue picking that pace, battling each other, only getting better, but they're not slowing each other down,
31:57which makes they ride every day during the week together.
31:59They own the same team.
32:01So it's like they're battling and elevating themselves, which is making it even harder for anybody else to challenge them.
32:06And that's why, so far, when you see them out here, they're a lot better than everybody else.
32:11Tough combination to beat.
32:12You see it week in and week out.
32:18Two to go for Hunter Lawrence.
32:23And it would be three wins in four rounds for him.
32:27Headed to Oshuble, which really I don't think is the best track for either Hunter or Jet.
32:31And that has been a great track historically for Hayden Deegan.
32:35So that is going to be spicy next weekend.
32:38And like I said, it's still two second place, second motos in a row for Hayden.
32:42That's the season best.
32:44He's going to tell himself, look, I know, Jet crashing this one, Hunter crashing that one.
32:50But Hayden Deegan is going to believe it's something.
32:52I mean, he is.
32:54And, yeah, going to what you're saying, maybe not the best track for these two,
32:57even though I think the old Ross dedication, go back to a couple years ago.
33:02And I can't remember who it was that he passed, Hayden Deegan, that is, in a 250 class.
33:06But I remember that race, and we were on the call, and I said,
33:11Hayden Deegan will never be the same again after that moto.
33:13And he hasn't.
33:14Ever since then, he's went on a tear of winning.
33:17So you know he's going to have that feeling.
33:19And based off of what he saw in this first moto and what I see,
33:22and historically, Washougal is a very track.
33:25It's a hard track to really separate.
33:26He's going to be a lot closer just in general.
33:29Hayden Deegan has a real shot to win next weekend,
33:31despite how dominant these two runners are looking all year long.
33:35Leave the door too open for Danger Boy back there in second.
33:41Prado.
33:42Is he going to win that battle with Hampshire?
33:45Denying Hampshire the overall podium.
33:47It'll be a moto podium for Prado, but a bad first moto when he went off track.
33:51When Deegan went down, he has no shot to visit the box overall today himself.
33:56But he's racing for Prado there, Prado wouldn't let RJ get there.
34:00So it looks like Chet Lawrence is going to cling to the podium today with third.
34:09Hunter's trying to broaden this thing in right now.
34:13I talked about it earlier when we were off camera.
34:15I was like, man, I think this track's going to get rough today.

34:20Yeah, I just looked at it.
34:22And boy, Millville has to deliver.
34:26Yeah, and I want to give credit to the Martin Brothers.
34:28It was Alex, a former racer's idea to change this hill.
34:31I think people liked it because it was going to take some speed out, reduce the risk.
34:35But there was a lot of worry that there would be less passing.
34:38But I feel like it held up.
34:39We've seen a lot of action in this sector.
34:41Yeah, it has.
34:42I mean, my only suggestion would probably be to take that double out right there.
34:45I think it'll open up that whole space.
34:48But, yeah, it really puts the track together.
34:51Because now to make a pass in that section, you have to do it two corners earlier by setting them
34:55up.
34:55So good job.
