00:00For the first time in his career, here we go.
00:10Davies gets pitched off, not a bad start, but not the whole shot.
00:15That's pretty much a whole shot from where it could have been,
00:18but look at Julian Bommier slots up on to both sides of his teammates,
00:22ends up passing Cole Davies.
00:24Menear has it on the 99, the whole shot.
00:26He's in contention for the overall two, but wow, yeah,
00:29Bommier did short work of a couple riders.
00:31Yeah, that's just that momentum for that first moto.
00:34We know how strong he is towards the end, but he's got these beginnings figured out.
00:38Now, Cole Davies might take a couple laps to figure out this racetrack.
00:41The last time he's really had some time on it was early in practice.
00:45I know he got a few laps, but he was in traffic.
00:47Might take him a few laps as he needs to go to work here.
00:51So it's Menear, Mosman, Bommier, Davies, Thrasher Heimas all battling right now.
00:56So a good return for Mosman, who was second in moto one.
01:00Here he is on the 23.
01:01Yeah, and our points leader Levi Kitchens down in 15 spots.
01:05So another bad start for him.
01:07The guys that he's chasing are definitely in front of him.
01:10Got a lot of work to do.
01:12Kitchens would have a 12-point lead on Davies.
01:15If this moto ends like this, but a long way to go.
01:17Another bad start for Kitchens.
01:18It looked like he had fixed that problem, but not this time.
01:22Now you've got Mosman closing a bit on Menear.
01:25And Heimas made the move on Davies.
01:28Yeah, as I go back to it might just take a couple laps for a full to find his rhythm
01:32again.
01:33Again, he was in traffic on the times he was on this racetrack.
01:36So it takes a couple laps, but I'm sure Cole Davies have figured out.
01:39He knows he lost a lot of points.
01:41He don't want to lose any more to at least Julian,
01:44but also try to make up some on Levi Kitchen.
01:50And last one, Mosman making tracks toward his teammate, Menear, the 18-year-old Australian.
01:57So this is third and second in Moto 1, our one and two in Moto 2.
02:02And then the Moto 1 winner is right there in third, Bo Mera.
02:06I mean, as we stand right here, I mean, things got to change,
02:09but Menear would have the overall way we stand.
02:12So it just goes back to when you look at these youngsters
02:15and just a little bit of confidence in how things change.
02:18Two great stars leading both motos today.
02:21And now he's got his teammate Nate Thrasher off the racetrack.
02:26Shows you these youngsters, the youth rising up here, possibly.
02:29Now they believe and see what you can do with this moto.
02:32Long ways to go.
02:33Bo Mera putting heat on Mosman.
02:36As for Menear, remember he said first time he had really started up front,
02:40tightened up a little in Moto 1.
02:41Can you get used to that in literally one hour?
02:44Yeah, we can get used to it, but wait a minute.
02:48Oh, for a second we saw Kitsch in the back.
02:50I think it might have been a transponder issue.
02:53We'll get an update on him.
02:54Yeah, he's up to ninth actually, so he's fine.
02:56Moving up his battle for second.
03:00Oh.
03:01Yeah, Julian's going to work.
03:03And when a rider comes out, I mean, he just won that first moto.
03:06You would think that he's like, man, I got the speed.
03:08I ran this guy down.
03:10He would be patient, but man, when you got the flow, you just got it.
03:13And Julian's showing a lot here today, how aggressive he is.
03:16Get a little rep right there.
03:20Might have missed the gear on that one.
03:22There's Davies getting back in it.
03:24Yep.
03:25Cole was able to get back around Chance Hyman.
03:27Oh, he's going for the pass.
03:30Bo Mera holds him at bay.
03:32Yeah, Julian made a small mistake.
03:34Cole wasn't even that close, but that mistake, Cole got through that section, and now you're
03:38starting to see Cole Davies understanding that now I've got to race this guy as if he's
03:43in a championship.
03:44Right now, after that first moto, he's only eight points behind me, so I've got a lot of
03:48work to do, JT.
03:50Yeah, he does.
03:51But, you know, with Bo Mera, it's really just the same game plan as Moto 1.
03:55If you watch that section, he is so good on the first half of the racetrack, and he's
03:58using the exact same lines he did in Moto 1, so I'm not sure if most of them had a
04:02chance
04:03to look at those lines, but it's a picture-perfect copy of what both of them were doing in the
04:07first moto, and it was favored, you know, advantage.
04:10Bo Mera and Moto 1, that might be the same here at Moto 2.
04:13Yeah, but I like the way this battle is shaping up.
04:15You're right, James.
04:16If you're Davies, you have to consider Bo Mera just as big a title threat as Kitchen,
04:21so this is a big moment right now, as Bo Mera has taken so much momentum and points in this
04:26series, and Davies tries to take it back.
04:29Yeah, Cole's starting to warm up, and yeah, it's to the point now, Cole, I believe he just
04:33went down in this corner.
04:37Oh, he just saved it.
04:38Yeah, he lost that front end.
04:40You can see how much time he lost right there, but good save by Cole.
04:43But yeah, you just got to go forward, understanding that, look, now it's, you know, these guys are
04:48becoming a problem.
04:49You've got two teammates in front of you starting to pull away, so all these guys want that
04:53opportunity to win as Michael starts to get close to Meneer.
04:59Yeah, Mo's been becoming a problem for Meneer.
05:01He's got an opening on the inside to the Chattapult, and uphill we go.
05:06Shout out to Chad Reed, had a huge crash over there, so we have to name it after him, Chad.
05:12See if Michael goes on outside and keeps that momentum up.
05:15We saw Hayden Deegan use his line here, but Meneer got through that corner really well.
05:21See if he does a Julian Bomier on him.
05:23Run it down.
05:25He's going to be on the outside, so all he can do is try to slow down, square this corner
05:29up, and maybe if he gets over this double, either try to go around the outside of him
05:32or square it up.
05:33But again, Meneer, just like he did with Joe Shimoda, really understanding that racecraft,
05:38doing a great job.
05:40Good exchange between the teammates.
05:42Meneer just hanging on from Mo's been the veteran out of Northern California.
05:49Oh, Meneer, a mistake, and still hangs on.
05:53Yeah, I think Michael took a moment right there.
05:56It wasn't close enough, but Kitchin in the bottom box up to eighth.
06:01Lux Turner, a good start today.
06:04Is the next rider ahead of him?
06:07There's one rider just getting up.
06:08I believe that's Cole Davies.
06:10We're going to find out in a second that Davies had that near crash in the woods.
06:20Yeah, I think I see the red plate there.
06:23We'll wait until we'll go through the finish.
06:25Yep, it is eighth place now for Davies.
06:29And Moseman still pouring it on up front.
06:31Yeah, Michael's got the bid in him.
06:34Oh, and he goes down, Moseman.
06:37Oh, man.
06:38Over the years, we've seen, I believe, Cole Davies is down again.
06:44Well, you might have caught a Davies crash.
06:45Also, man, tough break from Moseman.
06:47What's going for the lead and the overall?
06:51Yes, Davies has dropped out of the top ten, so a disaster lap for two of the Yamaha riders.
06:57Wow.
06:58Moseman's okay.
06:59Yeah, I go back to the crash there.
07:01I saw Ken Roxton have years ago, I believe he's leading the points in that same scenario.
07:06And what happens is, you're running that pace and you're going so fast and hitting that braking.
07:11And there's a small braking bubble on the inside.
07:12So these guys now, that front end's compressed.
07:15And when it's compressed, that front end wants to do all the knifing and it hooks up.
07:18And that's what you have.
07:20So now, Muneer has had a little bit of an edge over Bommere.
07:24Davies has gone back to 11th.
07:26Just got around Benek, actually, to get that spot.
07:30Yoder just in front of him.
07:31But how about Caden Muneer?
07:33This wouldn't be enough for the overall.
07:35But these kids are learning fast.
07:36And now, let's throw another name in there.
07:40Chance Hymas, staying with Bommere.
07:43Yeah, all this is good.
07:45And you asked the question earlier, can you learn a lot in between motos?
07:48Just Muneer, yeah.
07:50And you can.
07:51I mean, you see it right here.
07:52You know, it looks more confident out front.
07:54He was able to make a couple mistakes, but hold on to Michael.
07:57Really push Michael into making that mistake.
08:00And usually, you get that from experience.
08:02So, back-to-back podiums for him.
08:05And out front, two motos today.
08:07Two leads and see what he can do to it.
08:10Let me tell you folks something.
08:11Muneer is one of the most fun guys at the track you'll ever talk to.
08:15He is hilarious.
08:16He's wide open on and off the track.
08:18And he keeps it riding up like this.
08:20The fans are certainly going to learn that.
08:22Because a couple podium motos in a row here.
08:25Now running for a moto win.
08:26And Bomer doesn't need to pass him to get the overall.
08:30You see Bomer is 1-2.
08:32Would edge Muneer's 3-1.
08:34But Muneer's got a couple decisions to make.
08:36And so does Bomer.
08:38Does Bomer think overall?
08:40Or does he think 1-1 max points?
08:42We're going to see.
08:43Yeah, I would say in this scenario, Julian won't have a choice but to continue to push for it.
08:48Because this guy right here, Levi Kitchen, is starting to come.
08:50He's got a chance of time is there.
08:52So, yeah, unfortunate for Caden.
08:54Julian's going to be forced into keeping his pace up and, you know, see what happens.
08:59All right.
09:00Good to see Michael Mozeman now back on the motorcycle.
09:02His race is run.
09:05But hopefully he's avoided major injury.
09:08There is Kitchen working on Mumford.
09:11It's got another great run going in fourth.
09:12But not enough.
09:13Kitchen's on the move.
09:14Yeah, he just leaned in on Mumford right there.
09:17He had that momentum and he could have pushed him out a little bit more.
09:20But that would have probably ended up like here, March Banks and here, both of those guys going down.
09:24So, Levi's starting to move up again.
09:32All right, it's only fourth right now for Kitchen and it'll only be fourth overall.
09:37But, boy, did he need a day like this to turn things his direction.
09:42Some bad luck, obviously, for Davies.
09:45But these are two good perseverance rides for the 47.
09:50Yeah, it seems like some of these races that we've seen from Levi, especially early in the season,
09:55he would have races where you're like, he can capitalize on points,
09:58but then he'll end up taking over the points or extending it.
10:01I think Levi has to continue pushing more and really get up here and fight these guys to let him
10:06know.
10:07As we're watching the top three right here, JT.
10:10Yeah, and just speaking to Weegeus' point there about the points, look at what this is doing for Beaumare.
10:15He would right now put 15 points in the kitchen and a lot more than that into Davies.
10:20He could completely change the face of this championship here at Millville after, honestly,
10:25after Red Bud, it felt like he was going to be on the outside looking in.
10:30For Caden Muneer, I'm witnessing some of that good energy you guys talk about back in the paddock
10:34for Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing.
10:36The guys, they give it light and loose back there between the motos.
10:39But Caden Muneer, of course, coming off a career day at the WIC, tying his best career results.
10:44It's qualifying sixth, third in a moto, and overall four fourths.
10:47So, James, I would have to imagine it's a new weekend, it's a new venue,
10:52but that good energy, that has to be spilling over.
10:55It absolutely is, and you can see it.
10:57He's got two good starts, and, you know, to finish this thing off,
11:01it's probably going to be pretty hard because you can see these guys.
11:03His chance, Hymas looks like he's on the inside of Julian.
11:06Yeah, so just to finish that point, yeah, he's getting more comfortable out front.
11:12You know, the problem is, is that, look, he mentioned in that first moto that,
11:16hey, I got a little nervous, I tightened up.
11:18That probably will come a little bit.
11:20It just might be later in the moto if you continue to do that, eventually you'll win one of these
11:23things.
11:24But, hello, Chance Hymas.
11:26Hymas, this is the guy that we came into the season talking about a championship contender,
11:31a guy who ran away, beat any of these guys in the world, including Hayden Egan, easily,
11:36struggled this year, and in the last couple of motos we've been seeing this,
11:40and all of a sudden, the HRC Honda is up for a valid for a lead.
11:44Well, he is affecting the overall.
11:46At the moment, with that pass by Hymas, Meneer would win the overall 3-1 over Beaumair's 1-3.
11:52But how long can Meneer hold on?
11:54Hymas just jumped in the wayback machine.
11:57This is 2024-2025, Chance Hymas.
12:00I like that, the wayback machine.
12:02Yeah, he was way back, and he's real close now.
12:06Man, this is the speed we know this guy has.
12:08His ceiling, and now look at Kenshin attacking Beaumair.
12:13It's over.
12:14If you think you have any idea what's going to happen in a 250 moto in this championship this year,
12:19you're just guessing.
12:20There's no way you can predict this stuff.
12:22But the thing is, it's been like this all year.
12:25Just when we thought, okay, it was the pro circuit Kawasaki, Seth, and Levi,
12:29and then Seth gets hurt.
12:30Okay, Levi's opportunity, and then he has a couple races.
12:33Okay, Cole Davies, then he has these races.
12:37So every race, it seems like...
12:39Beaumair, Beaumair just went backwards.
12:41What is going on?
12:44Yeah.
12:44I did not have Beaumair going from 2nd to 4th on the bingo card.
12:48It looked like he was biding his time to go for the lead.
12:50He is getting dropped quickly, and it could be Kitchens Moto now.
12:54I can't believe this.
12:56Yeah, this is the 250 class, and I like what I see from Levi,
13:00because I said earlier, like, yeah, he's going to extend this points lead,
13:02but I think just momentum-wise, even to a shot to Cole Davies,
13:06for him to come up and possibly win this moto,
13:09as Chance Hymus got these whoops figured out as he goes into the lead,
13:13I thought it was the important move for this championship.
13:16And, yep, there he goes, JT.
13:18There he goes, indeed.
13:19And this is what we've been waiting on.
13:21Listen, we all knew Chance Hymus has speed to burn.
13:24He has proven that to us so many times,
13:26even at this very racetrack in 2024,
13:28as you see Kitchen trying to make a move.
13:30But it has not been apparent here in 2026 until today.
13:34Maybe this is a turning point for Chance Hymus, guys.
13:37It could be a turning point for Kitchen,
13:39scrubbing together, sending it to get to the inside of a deer,
13:42who almost goes down.
13:43Yeah, settle down, settle down.
13:45But, yeah, like the fight, it's not like he's rolling over.
13:48But Levi's coming and going back to the way we saw him earlier this year.
13:53This is what he was doing.
13:56Look at the map on the left side of the screen.
13:58As Bomer dropped back, but so did Menear now.
14:01Bomer will be back to being the overall winner with a 1-4.
14:05But he's got company.
14:06Look at Mumford.
14:09Yeah, at least there's too many numbers for me to add.
14:12Five out of four people, you don't want me getting started.
14:16Mumford, is he going to put the AEO KTM?
14:18Oh, no, and I think a stall, at least, if not a bigger problem for Fomair.
14:24Yeah, it definitely looked like he's stalled it,
14:26but I thought Mumford's going for the podium.
14:30All right, all right, okay.
14:32Give it up, people.
14:33You're never going to figure this out.
14:34And there's the pass.
14:36Carson Mumford is in the third.
14:39Mumford in the third.
14:40Levi in the second.
14:41Chance Hymus is winning.
14:43Julian, our first photo is going backwards.
14:46Lux Turner, I think, is in front of Fomair.
14:50Fomair now, yeah, I don't know.
14:53First ever Moto podium on the line for Mumford,
14:55and he is now giving Kitchin all he can handle.
14:57We're halfway through.
14:59What are we in store for?
15:00Stock up on some Monster Energy at Fleet Farm,
15:03but do not blink when you're watching this Moto.
15:08Yeah, I apologize.
15:09That was Menear still at Turner's behind him.
15:13But, wow, what a ride by Carson,
15:16and Chance Hymus is pulling away from all these guys.
15:19I thought Levi might be able to close up,
15:21but Hymus is moving forward.
15:24Hymus was in that big battle in Moto 1,
15:27but he actually lost a few spots and ended up ninth.
15:30Could he go 9-1?
15:33As for Mumford, he has been rock solid this year.
15:36He's always that talent.
15:37Now he's putting it together for results.
15:40We asked him about that consistency in his season yesterday.
15:45Things have been going great with the AEO KTF team.
15:48Definitely the biggest thing for me this year is I've been healthy,
15:51so I've been slowly building
15:52and kind of getting back to where I think I belong, you know.
15:55It's just been really good to race all the races
15:57and race all the laps,
15:58so I still think there's a little bit more for me to prove,
16:02and my ceiling is a little bit higher than what I've been showing,
16:04but, man, it's felt really good to, you know, get better
16:07and start getting really consistent results.
16:11It's been six years since Mumford has had a top five in this series.
16:14Once a great amateur prospect with the old Geico Honda team,
16:18but that team disbanded.
16:19He lost the ride, and now he's showing the talent they knew he had back then
16:22as he challenges the championship leader, Levi Kitchin, for second.
16:27Yeah, things are starting to happen.
16:29Carson has a great flow to this race here.
16:36Yeah, I think we're out of words for this class right now.
16:38Yeah, it is stupid.
16:39We have no words for this, even if we did.
16:41But at the point, we saw a couple races where it looked like Levi was on a roll,
16:47and then, you know, you get past halfway towards Intermodo,
16:49certain things would happen.
16:50But then, as I say that, he puts in a charge, stretches out.
16:56I don't know, man.
16:58So, yes, he has pulled back away from Mumford for the moment.
17:01Bomair is back to fifth.
17:03Davies ninth.
17:04Somehow, Bomair's 1-5 would still be enough for the overall.
17:11And Kitchin may have a big point lead at this point.
17:1321 points would be the gap.
17:16Yeah, I'm not saying anything.
17:19Yeah, I'm not saying anything.
17:20That's understandable.
17:22And that's Chris Schroeder putting the lap down the rider we talked about
17:25at the top of the moto.
17:26Good job by the profiteer to make it in today.
17:29It's only 2.8 seconds, by the way, the gap between Kitchin and Hymus.
17:33You know this thing is not over.
17:34What could have happened to Bomair, who usually gets better as the race goes on?
17:39Yeah, I'm not sure, actually, because, yeah, when you said it looked like you had
17:43a bike problems, then later in that lap, I was looking behind, and he was closing up
17:47on these guys, and then now he lost the tow again.
17:49So I don't know if that was a mistake, but it doesn't look like the guy that we saw
17:52was like, if there's a bike problem.
17:55But we still have 12 minutes left in this moto.
17:57We saw how much time Julian was able to make.
17:59Oh, Michael Moe's meant different riders, but you've got to believe in the back
18:02of that mind, it's still there, bro.
18:07Which way will this moto go?
18:10Can Bomair make some of those spots back?
18:14Look at that podium right now.
18:16You've been looking at Bomair, Hymus, Meneer, 1, 2, 3.
18:22We said at the top of the show, this is a credit to you, that this championship between Davies
18:27and Kitchen would be very much affected by the other riders who are still capable of
18:31beating them.
18:32But I don't know if we thought neither of them would be on the podium today.
18:35Nah, and just even going more in depth than that, I just, I felt like at some point, every
18:41one of these riders that's up here beat Levi Kitchen or Cole Davies at some point, and probably
18:46a couple times.
18:47So the fear wasn't there because those guys haven't really took off and started winning
18:51all the motos.
18:52So now with Joe Shimoda out and Seth Handmaker, these guys are looking for the opportunity to
18:57be on the podium.
18:58But being on the podium, you just, you're right there, you can win the race.
19:02So I think that's what you're starting to see, is everybody feeling that opportunity
19:05and showing up.
19:08And a championship battle might be more of who all these other guys, how many times
19:12they beat the leaders rather than those two battling each other.
19:16Seeing Cole Davies down in ninth place now, after two crashes, Casey Cochran in eighth.
19:22This is suddenly massive for the championship, for Davies to get every point he can.
19:27After, like you said, a few weeks ago, leaving Redbud, it looked like he had all the momentum.
19:32Maybe he was trending his way.
19:34It was, but that momentum's gone now.
19:36Can he get some back?
19:38And we've seen pretty much all year Cole Davies, you know, he's won a couple first motos, but
19:42these second motos he usually has figured out.
19:45And it's been pretty much to every year of every race, mistakes that's cost them, Katie.
19:53That's Casey.
19:54Yeah, I'm sorry.
19:56Haley, we're at Haley with an update on Casey Cochran there.
19:59Go ahead.
19:59All good, Casey Cochran.
20:01His belief is such a big thing.
20:04He's had some struggles this year, but he said in Millville, that second moto, third overall,
20:09that one was so special to him.
20:10I can still recall that image of him celebrating that moment on the podium.
20:14So for that reason, he has been looking forward to this one.
20:17But he also noted that at high point this year, that was definitely one of the senior high points.
20:21So Casey Cochran, looking for more of that here this weekend.
20:23Yeah, it was a good start to high point.
20:25That started a run, but then he flipped in the first turn of moto one, didn't finish.
20:29So a nice bounce back for him here to get back in the top 10 of the eighth, dealing with
20:33Davies.
20:34Yeah, but to Haley's point, you know, we saw a lot of speed from Casey.
20:38Like, we go back to last year in that practice where he qualifies first at Hanktown, I believe.
20:43And you've seen his speed form him, you know, throughout the year.
20:46So, yeah, good start so he can finish up here.
20:48Tough first moto, but better second moto so far.
20:51Got his hands full with the all-points leader, Cole Davies.
20:56Hymas pulls it back out on Kitchen at one point.
21:01It was under three.
21:02Now it's nearly four seconds to chance, Hymas.
21:06Whatever they were having over at the Honda truck between motos, I'll have what he's having.
21:09Because he goes from ninth in moto one to leading.
21:11And Cole Davies goes down again.
21:12Again.
21:17Oh, tough moto.
21:20Unbelievable.
21:21Three crashes here.
21:23And I wonder if some of that, you know, obviously he's feeling the pressure, but maybe just the rhythm.
21:27Because he didn't drop that first moto.
21:30Just mistakes.
21:33Usually, yeah, he's made mistakes, but not this many.
21:36Yeah, you're going to see him right here on the outside.
21:39I believe he was trying to get to that inside route.
21:41He was a little farther out.
21:42And you can see those braking bumps.
21:43Lean that bike over.
21:45And those just lost both bends.
21:47And you can see with the posture down his ride and standing up.
21:50I think he's lost the flow and understandable with all those crashes.
21:53And what makes this even more puzzling, I think one of the things we've all said about Davies that would
21:58be one of his advantages is,
21:59you do not ever really see him get lost on the mental side.
22:02He keeps it very simple.
22:03He never lacks for confidence.
22:05But it got away today.
22:06Yeah, it definitely did.
22:07And that's just racing.
22:09But, yeah, to your point, anytime in Supercross, if he didn't have it, he would just finish where he finished.
22:14And I'm really impressed by his mindset.
22:16So we all have those photos.
22:18I remember one race I crashed three times in one lap.
22:20So, you got all the records, bro.
22:24Yeah, good, bad, all that.
22:26So, experience.
22:27Look who's back.
22:28Bommere is challenging.
22:30Veneer for fourth.
22:32Got him.
22:33Takes a look over.
22:35Whoa.
22:35Gets it done.
22:38Just what you think.
22:39What do you think?
22:41I'm done thinking, man.
22:42We're just watching.
22:43So, that's going to help Bommere's mouth for the overall, but also for the title.
22:50Davidson Bommere has swapped second in the series probably four times in this moto alone with the ups and the
22:57downs.
22:59Yeah, as we stand, yeah, you see it.
23:01Levi, they finished it in this race.
23:03You'll have 23 points, 24 over Juju, almost with one moto lead for Levi.
23:10You're coming in two points down to almost a race ahead.
23:14That's a pretty good day for Levi's standards.
23:17And guess what they're coming into next weekend.
23:19We are headed to Washougal, Washington.
23:23That is the town where Kitchen was born.
23:25He can literally ride from his house to the track.
23:28He doesn't live there full time anymore.
23:29The fans are always pumped.
23:31But it's going to be, if it stays like this, I've got to qualify it, a red plate homecoming for
23:36Levi's Kitchen next Saturday.
23:38That place is going to be packed.
23:41Yeah, he might have the red plate, but he might boycott that red plate out there.
23:47Yeah, we always see the Washougal, the Kitchen design coming in.
23:51I bet I see some free food out there, but there's a guy right here, Chance Hinesis.
23:57Wow.
23:58Is it even, can you even put in the words, you know what this is like as an athlete, what
24:01this is going to do for his mindset, finally breaking through like this?
24:05This has got to be massive.
24:06It is.
24:07I mean, his hardest part is going to be these next five minutes because Levi is starting to close that
24:10gap.
24:11And we've seen Chance because of his injury, like, started fading a little bit.
24:15But just look at the last couple of motos, his results to leading to here, JT.
24:19Yeah, it's been steady improvement, James.
24:21And if you're looking for anybody who needed a break in this championship just to get things going back his
24:27direction, you wouldn't have to look further than Chance Hinesis.
24:30He has needed a ride like this so badly.
24:32And even if he didn't win, which is looking pretty good right now, but even if he got second, just
24:37the unlock for him mentally to be back on form, back at the front, is going to do so much
24:43for his mindset moving forward.
24:44Yeah, I agree, and just, I know it's Levi's hometown, and I can't remember exactly the results, but next weekend's
24:51track should suit well for this guy, the way he rides.
24:54And then you go to Unadilla, another place.
24:57Yeah, I mean, he's 71 points down right now, but hey, who knows?
25:01Yeah, maybe.
25:02Haley.
25:03For Chance Hinesis, even if others consider him an underdog, he says that doesn't matter.
25:08The expectation he has for himself remains the same.
25:11Look, he's had a taste of these wins, both in pro motocross and in supercross, and he wants more.
25:16He said, I want eight of them if they're there, so Chance Hinesis only strives for the best.
25:21Yeah, thanks, Haley, and you make a great point, James.
25:24Yeah, Unadilla might be his best track.
25:25We've seen unbelievable speed, and as far as Washougal, yes, the crowd will be on Kitchen's side,
25:30but Kitchen has said that the track itself doesn't really lend itself to his strengths.
25:35Kitchen really likes the rutted tracks, the softer tracks.
25:38That's different from Washougal.
25:39He's got some soft terrain here, and don't give up on it yet.
25:43He's trying to make one last push for the moto win.
25:46Oh, absolutely, and just going back to Chance, you know, I know he's 71 points down, and, yeah, it is
25:51a long shot,
25:52but we came in this race.
25:53Julian was 31 points down on Cole Davies.
25:56He's one point ahead of him.
25:58Yeah.
25:58Half it is.
25:59So, yeah, it's a long shot for Chance, but this race will give him that confidence to start believing,
26:04I can win these races, and that first, what happened that first moto with Levi, you just flip that,
26:10and then you look at now these other guys are being brought into this championship.
26:16I'll tell you what, when this guy's on, Levi, and he definitely is, it is fun to watch.
26:19It makes you want to get on the motorcycle when he's flowing like this.
26:22He's got it going.
26:23I don't know if he'll be enough to win the moto, but whatever was wrong, the little early season lull
26:29after the success of the beginning, it looks like he's back.
26:32Yeah, I agree with that, and I feel like there's three riders in this class, you know,
26:38that can, when they're on, really nobody can beat them.
26:40That's this guy right here.
26:42The other guy is the guy that's leading this race, Chance Himes, and another one you would say would be
26:46Cole Davies.
26:47Now we're starting to see maybe Juju starting to get into that, but, yeah,
26:51these guys are really, every one of them had the opportunity to kind of seize this championship,
26:55I guess, outside of Chance, but when these guys are on there, hard to beat,
26:59and who knows if anybody can.
27:05Here's Himes.
27:06This clock has to feel slow to him.
27:10Still three minutes and two laps from the first moto win of the season.
27:14That would be second overall.
27:19With all he's been through,
27:21a couple of torn ACLs, came back in Supercross, was pretty solid, then
27:27had a shoulder injury that led to surgery there,
27:29and he figured compared to an ACL, it really wouldn't be that big a deal,
27:32but he said actually it was much tougher than he thought,
27:35and in some ways tougher than the ACL.
27:38He's had three ACL surgeries,
27:39so he feels like he's on top of how it should feel, how it should progress.
27:43He admitted with the shoulder he could not get that confidence back.
27:47He was riding not to get hurt, and clearly, that's over.
27:53Yeah, that is, but a shout-out to Chance for still understanding who he is,
27:58and every time I had a chance to talk to him, I was like, hey, what's up?
28:01And he was like, man, I just got to do it.
28:04So it's a lot easier saying that and then going out here and doing it,
28:08but it's a surprise that he's up here, but it's not a surprise at all.
28:13Good to see.
28:14And the Honda team needs that shot in the arm because they lost Shimoda
28:17from title contention last week with a collarbone injury.
28:20Look at Lux Turner pouring it on.
28:22He has caught Cade Menear now for fifth.
28:25Haley.
28:26Well, just behind the number 43, Lux Turner.
28:30I see Drew Adams is on the move.
28:31Drew Adams was our fast qualifier,
28:33and it looks like keeping my eyes on the lap times
28:35that Drew Adams is actually clocking some of his best laps here on the last field.
28:41Okay, let's throw another team in there.
28:43Kids going fast in this class.
28:44We might have more now.
28:46Hey, we lost Shimoda.
28:47We lost Hamaker.
28:49Sasha Kunin not here today.
28:50He's back home.
28:50But somehow the class might be deeper today than any race this year.
28:55Yeah, the opportunity of bonus checks, getting on the podium,
28:58so it raises all the guys' games up.
29:00And like I said earlier, this class is so deep.
29:03They're all closed.
29:04You got to just think about different starts.
29:06You know, start depending on some of these guys.
29:08JT?
29:09Yeah, just, you know, thinking about the injuries and all these things.
29:12You know, that guy, Sasha Kunin, that had that fantastic day going 1-1,
29:15all the while having a broken collarbone.
29:17He went back to Europe.
29:19He's in the U.K. this weekend, and they're at a track called Fox Hills.
29:22He raced after getting that collarbone surgically repaired last Sunday,
29:26and he got fourth in his qualifying race today.
29:28Now the point, the main race is tomorrow,
29:31but he was in the top five all day during practice,
29:33the fourth in his qualifying race with a collarbone that just got fixed five days ago.
29:37So it just, I think, paints a picture of how tough these guys truly are.
29:40So we'll have more on that story.
29:42Those guys are stateside bound full-time at 27.
29:45But what a story off the back of last weekend.
29:46Yeah, the legend continues for Sasha.
29:49Go to MXGP.com for more info on that series, MXGP TV, to watch it.
29:56Oh, great.
29:56Racing in England tomorrow.
29:58It's an international affair even here in America.
30:00You've got the Australian Muneer trying to hold off.
30:05What's Turner?
30:06Good to see Turner back to having a good day.
30:08He was really strong at the opener.
30:09Fox Raceway, this Bar X Toyota Redlands Yamaha hasn't been quite as good since,
30:15but he's back right now.
30:17Yeah, you go back to what you just said right there.
30:19It's an international affair out here, and we were talking off-camber,
30:23you know, about the guys and just how many different countries are here.
30:26And I said that, look, a juju winning that moto was the fifth time
30:31an American has won in this championship out of 25 motos.
30:34And my map might be off a position here and there,
30:38but I believe chance might be the sixth rider out of here.
30:41And that just shows you the world is really coming here to race
30:44and how deep all these kids are coming from different countries.
30:47And, man, every weekend it just changes.
30:50And that's what leads to this type of racing, this depth, this talent.
30:53You never know, especially in this class,
30:54who's going to find the flow like Hymas in this one.
31:01I don't know if there's anything left.
31:02Let's see if maybe Bomer wants to make a run at Mumford for third.
31:07He needs it for points, doesn't need it to win the overall.
31:10But every point might count in this series,
31:12so let's check back in with the 13.
31:15He's only about a second and a half off of Mumford now.
31:19Yeah, about three seconds behind Levi.
31:22You see Levi's about to end the finish line, but right now,
31:24so we saw that charge that juju put on in that first moto.
31:28It might be a little harder to get up to Levi,
31:30but, yeah, Carson might be there for the opportunity to get on there,
31:34get on that podium in this moto,
31:36which would be a really good ride,
31:38considering what it looked like for a couple laps there.
31:40So Mumford on the AEO KTM,
31:42they do get some help from KTM proper,
31:46but it is what they call factory services.
31:48They'll put together a good engine package, etc.,
31:50but it's not the full factory bike that Bomer has,
31:53so that is what has made Mumford's performances inside the top ten all year.
31:58So impressive, but Bomer has got to go.
32:01He needs the points, and he got the pass.
32:04Oh, and he almost goes down and does.
32:07That is costly.
32:09Wow, yeah, I was about to make a joke,
32:12thinking, like, Carson would be like,
32:13hey, I'll let you buy if you guys hook me up with an engine,
32:16but he should have.
32:17He did right there, but at least Julian was able to get up.
32:20He didn't lose a position.
32:22It's not going to change anything, but,
32:24yeah, luckily, they had a huge gap
32:26over that Muneer-Turner battle,
32:28and still Bomer will be the overall winner.
32:31Well, he tried to freestyle,
32:33had the legs off the side of the bike,
32:35knack knack style in a corner.
32:37It's not the way you're supposed to do it.
32:39Let's see it again.
32:40Yeah, now you see Jujo.
32:42He's on the inside right here.
32:43He's going to have a good run,
32:44and he probably figures he has a pass.
32:46Carson doesn't feel him there.
32:48He just goes in, shuts that door.
32:49Julian tries to avoid him,
32:51and he loses both three-end.
32:52Feet comes off MC-style right there.
32:55Thought maybe he had it saved here,
32:57but then, yeah, just dropped it there.
33:00They had a big lead over the two behind him,
33:03so he's able to get up.
33:05Continue that fourth play.
33:07Well, I really thought the 1-1 with the injury
33:09for Coonan last week at Southwick
33:11was the wildest 250 day we've seen in a while.
33:14This one also wild for completely other reasons.
33:17Everyone has had their good and bad moments.
33:19Bomer still looking at the overall win,
33:22first of his career with the 1-4.
33:25Yeah, I'm looking at that battle
33:27between Meneer and Turner.
33:29If Turner gets around there,
33:31changes that position,
33:32allows Levi Kitchen up on a podium.
33:36But they're about almost 8, 9 seconds behind.
33:40Chance Hymas,
33:41who hasn't even been on a podium at all this year.
33:43Yeah, I thought the Kitchen
33:44maybe was materializing a run.
33:46It didn't happen.
33:48Still, Lutz Turner and Meneer going at it back here.
33:51White flag is out.
33:52Hymas looking for his first moto win of the season.
33:56Bomer looking for the first overall win of his career
33:59and a big step in the championship.
34:03Lutz Turner, Cade Meneer,
34:05they're just battling for confidence,
34:07momentum, and everything else.
34:08And Turner got it done.
34:11Wow, so now Meneer's tied on points
34:14with Levi Kitchen,
34:15but because Levi's running second
34:17ahead of him in this moto.
34:21So with that pass that Turner made,
34:24yes, it's both Kitchen to the podium.
34:25Meneer's got to get him back,
34:27but it's not looking good right now.
34:28Late, Kitchen going to salvage
34:30the podium overall now.
34:33Yeah, great round for Lutz there.
34:35Looking strong.
34:36Meneer starting to see it.
34:39Tough day.
34:40Still a great day for him.
34:42Leading both motos,
34:43getting a lot better.
34:45If he can finish this thing out,
34:47even though he might miss the podium here,
34:48still a great day for him.
34:53A lot of lessons learned,
34:55I'd imagine,
34:55for all these kids
34:56who had their moments today.
34:58Last update on Davies.
35:00He's in 13th after multiple crashes.
35:02Tough day for him.
35:04Bomer will be seconded points
35:05by one over Davies.
35:09Davies will be third.
35:1124 points will be the deficit
35:12for Bomer.
35:1325 for Davies.
35:14Levi Kitchen has blew
35:16the roof off of this championship,
35:20at least for now.
35:21but we'll get to that later.
35:23We've got to celebrate with this guy.
35:25Chance Hymas is back.
35:27Ninth in Moto 1.
35:29And just went through the field
35:31to dominate Moto 2.
35:33First win in a while.
35:34First win of the season.
35:36Chance Hymas takes Moto 2.
35:39Bomer looking back to see
35:41if he does have this overall in hand.
35:43And it looks like he does.
35:46Great ride for Juju.
35:47Crazy day.
35:48Going to get his first Moto victory.
35:50And now,
35:50cross his jacket flag.
35:52First ever overall
35:53for Juju'
35:5513.
