00:25Harappan, Election Director Datuk Sri Aminuddin Shari, as well as PKR Secretary General Fuzia Saleh.
00:32After representing Sikamat since 2008, the two-term Menteri Besar is contesting Linggi for the first
00:39time, saying the move was his own decision. Barisan National has fielded incumbent Datuk
00:45Mohammad Faizal Ramli to defend the seat, while Bersatu is represented by Datuk Zamri Madsaid.
00:51Linggi is a Malay majority constituency, with Malays making up about 60% of voters, followed
00:58by Indians, 17.9%, Chinese, 17.5%, and Orang Asli, 1.4%. The seat falls under the Port Dixon
01:09parliamentary constituency, which Aminuddin has represented since 2022. Linggi has been an
01:16UMNO stronghold since it was first contested in 1959, with the exception of one term between 1971
01:23and 1974, when it was won by DAP. Polling for the Negeri Sembilan State election will be held on
01:31August 1st.
