00:01The Tower of London is inviting visitors to immerse themselves into its dark past this Halloween,
00:08as centuries-old ghost stories are brought to life through costumed characters and eerie interactive displays.
00:15Actors portraying some of the Tower's most famous historical figures,
00:19like the beheaded Queen Anne Boleyn, who lost her life on Tower Green,
00:24and Guy Fawkes, who attempted to blow up Parliament and later met a grisly death,
00:29could be spotted haunting the nearly 1,000-year-old landmark.
00:33The seasonal event features eight ghostly characters drawn from the Tower's long and bloody history,
00:40bringing tales of the past back to life alongside themed installations,
00:45including a traditional forge, a ghostly observatory, and an enchanted well.
00:51Yeoman warder Mark Anderson said the historic site has a chilling reputation
00:56as being very haunted due to its turbulent past.
01:00It's been here for nearly 1,000 years, and it's got quite a lot of stories that are related to
01:07death.
01:08We have executions here and murders, and so perhaps the essence of those victims is still here.
01:17Plus, it hasn't changed in over 1,000 years, so going right back to Roman times,
01:22where we're standing now used to be a Roman fort, so whatever happened in those days
01:26may still be here somewhere in the fabric of the ground.
01:29The Tower of London, which has served over the centuries as a royal palace, fortress, and prison,
01:36has long been associated with ghost stories and unexplained sightings.
01:40An extremely lucky one of those victims are of the
01:42who were underrepresented in the works of the first year.
01:42Have you seen them?
01:43Do you know them.
01:43So how they do these events?
01:44Do you know them?
01:47And do you know them?
01:49The rest of this event of the summer of 1980,
01:52Are you well,
01:53And do you know them.
