00:27Ismail, who is also the Kuala Pilah UMNO Chief and State Information Chief,
00:33previously served as the State's Education and Human Capital Committee Chairman.
00:38He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from University Malaya
00:42and has represented both the Senerling and Jwasai constituencies over the course of his political career.
00:50In Saturday's election, Ismail retained the Jwasai seat after defeating Pakatan Harapan's
00:55Muhammad Aidil Abdullah and Bersatu's Muhammad Zuhaymi, Muhammad Yusuf, in a three-cornered contest.
01:02His appointment follows Barisan National's victory in the polls, where they won 18 seats
01:08and combined with Perikatan National to form the government with a total of 25 seats in the State Legislative Assembly.
