00:00chris sims who is obviously until the season gets underway at least training camp
00:07trying to get clicks for himself and so yesterday he shared his list of all-time in their prime
00:19qbs in advance of uh or on the on the sunday night football social media platforms
00:27all-time in their prime qbs who would you guess is number one like if you were going to guess
00:35if yeah
00:35if it wasn't phil sims if you were just sitting here and saying you know what uh somebody who's
00:41an nfl insider somebody who played the game uh arguably at the highest level is going to put
00:47out a list of uh all-time in their prime qbs who would you have at the top of your
00:53list
00:54uh please tell me it would be tom brady the greatest ever do it chime who would you have at
00:59the top of your list tom brady okay mego yeah okay wiggy yeah it's not even okay number one on
01:06the
01:06list is peyton manning okay i mean he'd be number two on my list number two on his list is
01:14patrick
01:14mahomes okay we're already in the danger zone okay i mean that's that's still a guy that would
01:19normally be in the top three but okay number three on his list is aaron rogers stop troll job
01:25what are we doing this is trolling yeah of course you're trolling you're looking for controversy
01:30i see you number four number four on his list of all time in their prime quarterbacks is john
01:36elway great pick but uh where's tom brady well number five is brett farve what what are we doing
01:46what a jackass still no brady top five okay okay here we go i guess number six is josh allen
01:54wait what what you mean a guy who hasn't still hasn't made a super bowl number seven is lamar
02:01jackson no disrespect because i love lamar but what are we doing here is this just a list excluding tom
02:08brady because everybody knows tom brady's number one is that what this is number eight is dan marino
02:14well i mean i like marino don't get a twist name where's montana by the way i doubt he shouldn't
02:20be in here he's not not in the top that's correct that's the one correct thing he's done so far
02:25you have no reason you know this right you know that yes shime's a hater and he has no respect
02:30for
02:30history right number nine is tom brady finally so wow when it comes to all time in their prime
02:38quarterbacks tom brady is number nine roger staubach uh dallas cowboys roger staubach is number 10
02:47how can you in good conscience ever put josh allen ahead of tom brady on any list right isn't just
02:52athleticism right how can in good conscience i wouldn't put josh allen but even like you wouldn't
03:01put him top 10 like lamar jackson i mean when has lamar jackson has not made it to his prime
03:08right uh at least josh allen i give josh allen credit in the postseason he's looked good lamar
03:14unbelievable regular season quarterback but he's great in the regular season i i bust you in
03:19chimes balls about that all the time like both of those guys haven't even been to a super bowl
03:24haven't even been to one like let alone actually win seven why is aaron rogers number three yeah
03:34that's where i know sometimes people make these lists and i do think the one that
03:38jeremy fowler shared where it's talking to executives and scouts scouts that's like a good
03:46faith reading of hey this is at least where the league is right now you're talking about the one that
03:51chime has had as a lead the other day where drake may is number eight yeah this is just trying
03:56to get
03:57us to fight because tom brady is so low but it it's not even credible no we don't like to
04:05play devil's
04:06advocate a little bit like aaron rogers when he was elite he was it was some of the most elite
04:12quarterback play that we've ever seen like it was he wasn't no no no i'm not saying brady wasn't brady
04:17should absolutely be number one on this list i think we all agree on that i mean chris sims has
04:21always had an issue when it comes to tom brady and his belief that it was more of what was
04:31around
04:31tom brady and more of what was uh what was the bill belichick of it what are you raising your
04:38hand
04:38about what do you have i have audio of chris sims if you'd like to hear him explaining it a
04:41little bit
04:42sure okay i mean i know i'm probably gonna get blowback for this right here but tom brady
04:47did get afforded the luxury especially in his prime in the early prime years of you're not
04:53asking you to carry the team belichick's gonna come up with an unbelievable defensive game plan
04:58we're gonna run the ball and be physical and then we just need you to be clutch at the end
05:01of the
05:02football game and do that right now he certainly had a few years that are awesome in his prime i'm
05:07certainly not trying to downplay that but do i think he's capable and again if you put him like we
05:13in the normal quarterback rankings my top 40 if you put him in some other situations i don't know
05:18if it would have looked as pretty that way yeah but regardless yeah tom brady all-time arm all-time
05:23commander on the field and doing stuff like that uh definitely one of those guys and like you said
05:29you could do more with more i'm not sure you could do more with less like you could have some
05:33of these
05:33guys on this list and here's the issue that does he just forget 2007 all the way up to 2000
05:40and like
05:4121 well a texter says tom brady had two primes right he went he did have two primes we should
05:50call um
05:51uh mike florio who's with him and say hey listen how do you sit next to a former nfl quarterback
06:02that would have a top 10 quarterbacks of all time and have brady number nine eight oh sorry no
06:10you're right nine sorry have brady number nine and you sit there and this guy not only is he a
06:17former
06:17quarterback but his dad played in the nfl and played at a high level for a number of years and
06:21you sit
06:22there and you allow him to spew that and make you look bad too that is the dumbest ish i've
06:31ever heard
06:31from phil's i'm from chris simms because i would say this this is where i look in i go people
06:37do
06:37absolutely no research on when they start to talk about stuff and he starts to say oh he didn't have
06:44to do much and i and i just sit there and i and i and i scratch my head and
06:49i'm gonna have a sick
06:50brag bro here in a minute i go all right so i played with tom brady also played with peyton
06:56manning
06:58peyton manning this is brag central right payton manning in his prime and granted i think brady's
07:05had three careers two careers whatever you want to call it and yes was the first part of it great
07:10defenses and ability to run the football which i was a part of but peyton manning played with
07:17hall of fame wide receiver marvin harrison played with i believe hall of fame running back edwin james
07:25correct also played with one of the top tight ends during his career at that time in dallas clock
07:31and another very good one in marcus paulett also played with another hall of famer at wide receiver
07:37and reggie wayne who i also played with so when you start to say the things around tom brady and
07:46then
07:46you highlight and go oh but when he was excellent when you needed him to put a drive together and
07:53one
07:53guy who played with all that talent but when you needed him to put the drive together who's number
07:59one on your list couldn't do it tom brady played around some great players i will take that i will
08:06not take that away from him but i was never in the dallas clock market marcus paulett category i love
08:13troy brown i love deon branch i love uh givens and all the wide receivers he that played with brady
08:19but they were never in the marvin harrison reggie wayne category also didn't peyton manning have a
08:25hall of fame head coach and tony dungy this isn't just peyton manning patrick mahomes has andy reed
08:31he's a great offensive coach he had tyreek hill to start his career and then he had prime travis
08:36kelsey everybody has good players it's the nfl i would have brady one yes you said peyton manning too
08:43right does everybody agree with that i probably would go peyton manning too and then mahomes number
08:50three right i might switch those two at this point you would i might i might okay all right so
08:55i'd be
08:56okay with that that's fine i guess the question becomes is are we are we starting to look and we're
09:03putting all those things in that area so i probably would go mahomes three see marino would be always
09:09in my top five absolutely even though he never won championships but one of the best pure passes
09:17and i just think he didn't have the best teams around him i just look at chris sims and the
09:23fact
09:23that he's on sunday night football i know and he's supposed to be your quarterback football guy and it's
09:30not brady number one it's brady number one and then there's a pretty decent gap to peyton manning number
09:38two and then the rest of everybody but he has tom brady at number nine it's so stupid it is
09:45like i
09:45know we're in this world where like we say like a lot of things for clickbait and that kind of
09:49thing
09:49but then there's just things that you say that are just so so stupid that's like me going oh i
09:56see
09:56michael jordan play but he's not even in he i have him ninth on my list is the greatest of
10:00all time
10:01right right all right
10:02you
