04:32a millimeter and that keeps him vulnerable to the drive on the onside or the offside
04:45well having watched him over the years never really seen him swing it around too much so
04:49see him move it off the seam a little and there's none of that there for him at the moment

04:53the ball doesn't seem to be bowled upright as it leaves his hand maybe he's going to have to do

13:47wickets falling all around him and he's appreciating the change of bowling here
13:59he runs quite quickly across the dry outfield here to perth it's the first time jack callus has really
14:08caused a problem because he got his length right he's been a little full what he hasn't done yet is
14:14found his out swinger when he gets that right he's a handful i heard ian chapel talking a bit earlier
14:20about callus in england the last english summer when he really did get the out swinger going
14:46he's got it's guts it's guts plenty of players in this series are going to take it upon themselves to

15:22it's been a great start to the series
15:24so after picking up three wickets in the first half hour australians are fought back this is what

15:38right that's the last ball of this first session of clay in the first test match against south africa
15:48well the south africans should be pretty satisfied they've got three very good players out in hayden
15:52tonting and hussy tonting and hussy both out for a duck
15:57and at one stage there mccain tini was on a hat trick so the score at lunch on day one

16:11canage has moved to 49 certainly deserves a half century he's played brilliantly today
16:17saw australia fall to 3 15 at one stage and tini stain picking up early wickets
16:23he's been there right from ball one played particularly well
16:29now over the top
16:32and it's all the way as well lovely way to bring up your first test match 50 on your old
16:40home ground
16:41magnificent shot short outside off stuff he's come hard slightly open blade and it's carried all the
16:48way for six to third manner so not only is this half century but it also brings up the heart

16:55bit of local knowledge here he's got the wind behind him and he's gone way away from the fielder down

18:17played with such control is a delight he's played one of these for six deliberate uppercut and now the

18:34i think you give him an advantage to take away the natural angle and he's waiting for this caddy's
18:38beautifully balanced right off the meat of the bat
18:46and ball put away first long hop is gold yep he has been full the whole way and there's not

18:56margin for error as a spinner here in perth
19:03catcher he fell over the man at short cover got caught up in the grass that could have well been

19:08chance beat him in flight got a leading edge and clark knows that's a let off
19:15now ab de villiers at short cover got himself into a real tangle
19:21good drift there from harris induced a bad shot
19:26and ab de villiers slipping just at the crucial moment

19:38there's a big gap at cover at the moment right here that he's working balls into and getting off
19:45strike which means the right hand is up on strike there's also plenty of room back around there
19:50for singles and easy runs when you get on the body a very consistently paced pitch
19:57well that's worth a shout he's been given straight away the full toss it's hit him low just above the

20:05and morning mortal has got the breakthrough we've been talking about south africa
20:09who were looking a little bit flat they were trying to lift they weren't able to

24:39breakthroughs and i have to say that australia have dished them up they've handed them back to

24:50initially the right decision and michael clark threw it away now hadn's on strike and you think there's a
24:57chance for another one australia could be reeling at six foot they settle settle that's in great touch

32:34but today he's controlled it exceptionally well he was donging them to mid on now he's looking for gaps
32:40he's finding the gaps easily he's modifying the mid on shot then he's going square of that man and
32:46getting it into the gaps this is control that hasn't been seen this summer
32:53catch it catch it catch it that's in the air and this could be out caught yes he'll be out

32:59that's exactly it ian healy picked it he tried to dom it again and call credit for the spinner he

33:06being punished down the ground hit for six he kept throwing it up and simon smith's one too often great
