00:18Now these speakers work great on premium subscription services such as Netflix,
00:24Primevio, Disney plus and others that provide these formats with their built-in server engine.
00:30However, if you are a storage type of person who love to play self-hosted videos in various formats,
00:37you know it can be a pain to find the right streaming device firstly and a media player
00:43that can handle and output all these formats. It gets even more frustrating when you try to use
00:49it on streaming apk's and cannot get basics around sound audio. Well viewers,
00:53the wait is finally over. Today I give you my advanced TV box media player that's specially
00:59tailored for Android boxes but it's not limited to. And like the splash screen says,
01:05one app to play them all. So today's video is a free giveaway. Stay tuned, that's up next.
01:19Welcome back. So I built this media player to solve the problem of playing high quality 4k self-hosted
01:26videos as well as videos on streaming apk's with surround sound audio decoding. Some media players
01:33can already play self-hosted videos with surround audio but you don't get the surround audio in
01:39streaming apk's. There is also the complex issue of different video file types. My media player can
01:45play all HD and 4k video file types such as MP4, TS, MKV, and M2TS. It can also decode all
01:54surround
01:54sound audio formats, even videos that contain multiple audio formats such as Dolby vision,
02:00Dolby digital combinations. In addition to the complex workings in the background, it comes with a
02:06unique attractive OSD that detects any video format and displays it. So let's take a look at its
02:12interface. I made it very simple and easy to use with very little settings to adjust. By default it
02:19opens the box's internal storage folder for you to navigate. And to navigate to external storage,
02:25you simply select the USB SD card button. If you have multiple devices connected, you will see a popup
02:32list for you to select your storage. From there you simply navigate to your video files. I made this
02:39interface easy to navigate with a remote direction pad as well as with a mouse pointer. So in the
02:46settings area, you have settings to adjust the duration of the OSD display. You can even set it to
02:52always on if that's your preference. You can select whether you want the OSD to display on the top left
02:59or the top to right. You can enable or disable the resume playback button. This comes in very handy
03:04with streaming APKs. I also added an experimental feature to use video software decoding for boxes
03:12that do not have hardware surround sound audio decoders built in. But like I said it's experimental
03:18and it's not guaranteed to work. I added some storage diagnostic in the event that you are not
03:24reading your external storage. And once you have made your changes you must save and close to exit.
03:29If not simply click the back button to return to the main menu. And that's it for the settings.
03:35So for a demonstration, this is what it looks like when you play self-hosted videos via external
03:41storage or your home server. This is HDR10. The AV1 format.

07:39to the settings area and change the media player settings.
07:42So here I am in Stremio and in the settings area I select my media player.
07:52So as you can see if you play a video with Dolby Atmos, the media player will output the
07:58digital format and display it on the OSD.
08:02It also provides subtitles feature.
08:04Once the APK provides it, you can also toggle subtitles off.
