00:00What's up viewers, my name is Nick and welcome back to the channel.
00:10Today I feature a 1TB portable SSD from Orico. This is the Orico C10.
00:17And it's a high speed M.2 SSD, compact into a very neat enclosure,
00:23that very much resembles your conventional flash drive or pen drive.
00:27It boasts of having speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second.
00:31And it's compatible with both USB 3.0 and USB type C ports.
00:36So my review begins right after this.
00:38Welcome back. So this is the enclosure. And there isn't much to its design.
01:01It's 5 inches long and just about a quarter inch thick.
01:05It comes with one USB type C port for connecting the included cable.
01:10And it has a power LED indicator.
01:13It comes with a short USB type C cable with a USB 3.0 adapter.
01:19So you can use it on both USB A and USB type C ports.
01:24And for portability it comes with a handy keychain ring.
01:28So I will now connect it to my PC and let's test its data transfer speeds.
01:35For a quick demonstration.
01:37You simply connect one end of the USB type C cable to the enclosure.
01:41And you can either connect it directly via USB type C or use the USB A 3.0 adapter.
01:57So after extensive testing on my PC, the results show that CrystalDisk clocked at 985 megabytes per
02:10seconds read speed and 1000 megabytes per seconds write speed.
02:15The Nova Bench app recorded speeds of 938 read and 958 write speed.
02:23And the comprehensive disk speed test by Blackmagic design clocked an average of 925 megabytes per
02:31second read speed and 908 megabytes per second write speed.
02:36It also shows that it can play up to 12K 60Hz, up to 12K 24Hz at 422 color depth,
02:46and up to 8K H265 video file formats.
02:49So the chipset used in this enclosure is the Realtek RTL9210, and it comes with a 1TB M.2 SSD pre-installed.
03:02And from my previous testing on other enclosures, this chipset usually has a limit of around 1000
03:09megabytes per second sequential read and write speeds. So don't expect this enclosure to give
03:14you anything above that, even if you connect to a thunderbolt port.
03:18One good thing however, is that the enclosure does not get hot surprisingly.
03:23So there you have it short and sweet, this is the C10 by Orico, and if you would like to get your
03:30hands on one, it comes in different sizes from 256 gigabytes up to 4TB. So to grab one of these
03:37portable enclosures with your M.2 SSD pre-installed, I placed a link in the description below this video.
03:43So thanks for watching, don't forget to like the video and subscribe to the channel.
