00:00i was like right i need to devise a plan to kind of leave the family home so i was
00:04silently doing
00:04all of this and i ended up speaking to my sister about it and she said that you can come
00:09stay with
00:09me so i moved into my sister's for a couple of months and as i was doing that i remember
00:14my
00:14parents completely flipping out and saying that i'm being brainwashed i'm a lost little girl
00:19at this point i started recording there and i thought well if i ever i'm gonna share my story
00:25i need to have this evidence so on my phone i'd actually press the recording button and i would
00:29hold the phone like in my pocket or in my hand and they didn't realize they were being recorded
00:33and i got everything in recording like i've got so many clips where they're being like really
00:38aggressive they're shouting they're swearing like you can hear things being thrown around i remember
00:42leaving and feeling like a sense of relief i decided to go to tiktok and i posted my first ever
00:49video
00:49and i didn't tell anybody i didn't tell my sister or my partner at the time i didn't tell anybody
00:53and i posted it and just expressed how i was feeling and i've been on tiktok for just over a
00:58year now and since then i've grown quite a big community of people who have suffered from
01:03narcissism and i make videos about being an advocate now and i've kind of almost found my strength and
01:09i've got my courage back but now moving forward you know being no contact was the best decision i ever
01:14made and it's something i speak about and i do advise people that you can't ever win with a narcissist
01:19you can never change them they're never going to take accountability so like you're either going to
01:24spend your life trying to walk on eggshells and work around them or internally you're going to die
