00:00He knocked me around every time I went during the time that he had me there.
00:04Every time I would say no, he'd hit me.
00:06He brought out toys for me to play with.
00:08I didn't want to play with any toys.
00:10I just wanted to go home.
00:11When I finally got to go home, I ran.
00:14I ran across the street.
00:15I ran right out in front of traffic.
00:17And it was time to eat, and everybody was at the kitchen table.
00:21And I sat down at the kitchen table, and I remember we were having spaghetti.
00:26And the next thing I knew is I threw up all over the kitchen table, all over everybody's food, just
00:31bleh.
00:32And then I got up and ran, and all my parents heard was the door slam, and they couldn't find
00:38me.
00:38I hid underneath my bed.
00:41I stayed there, and my parents couldn't find me.
00:43They searched the apartment.
00:44They searched the neighborhood.
00:45So they finally called the police, and the police were searching the neighborhood for me.
00:50After about six, seven hours, I had come out of my bedroom from under the bunk bed.
00:55The police asked me where I was.
00:57They wanted to know what had happened.
00:59And I told them, I can't tell you, or you'll kill my family.
01:02And they said, no one's going to hurt your family.
01:04I told them.
01:06My father slapped me, and he said, stop telling lies.
01:10And the police told my dad, we don't think he's lying because he wouldn't make you.
01:14How else would he know about this sort of stuff?
01:16One, I assume it was a detective, said, well, push it down and forget it.
01:20It never happened.
01:21Suck it up and be a man.
01:23And all I could do was cry.
01:24After that night, my parents never tucked me in again, never read me stories, never gave me hugs.
