01:18And on this edition, we're looking back at the very best of the game, Triple H.
01:24In 1995, the WWE Universe was introduced to the posh and proper Hunter Hurst Helmsley.
01:31The Connecticut Blue Blood would eventually morph into the brash and dangerous superstar we've come to know.

01:42Aligning himself with his best friend Shawn Michaels, the two would form one of the greatest factions of all time.

01:52But after a severe back injury would keep the heartbreak kid away from competition, it was time for Triple H
01:59to take the reins.
02:03Triple H of DX is going to make a major announcement here tonight.
02:08At that time, D-Generation X was the biggest faction in WWE, and it was hard to picture them without
02:13Shawn Michaels.
02:13This is the genesis of D-Generation X.
02:21There were conversations with me about going forward with DX from there.
02:25When you start an army, you look to your friends.
02:30Well, look who's back!
02:32Hunter called me.
02:33He wanted to keep doing a DX thing.
02:34I was just happy it turned out as good as it did.

02:50The New Age Outlaws have a tag match against Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie.
02:54And all of a sudden, DX shows up and interferes.

03:00And then we all got on all four corners of the cage after that.
03:04They're stronger than ever!

03:13That renewed DX very quickly went from a place of approaching everything from an angry heel standpoint
03:21to fans were mobbing us.
03:24The fans loved it.

03:31Having the McMahon family lineage, Stephanie was born into the business.
03:35But it wasn't until 1999 that Stephanie McMahon started to appear on WWE television.
03:42Introduced as the kind and innocent daughter of the boss,
03:46Stephanie was caught in the middle of her father's rivalry with Triple H.
03:49You keep coming up with new ways to screw me, I'll keep coming up with ways to go through it.

03:55At Armageddon, Stephanie McMahon would be forced to sit ringside to watch her dad defend her honor
04:00in a match that would change the professional and personal lives of Steph in the game.

04:35There comes this moment where finally, my dad has the sledgehammer.

05:35Stephanie would unleash a power struggle within her family.

05:42Steph in the game would stop at nothing to keep control of WWE.
05:45And with DX in tow, the power couple was unbeatable.

05:52In 2001, Triple H was at the top of his game.

06:01Engulfed in a heated rivalry with the Texas Rattlesnake Stone Cold Steve Austin,
06:05these two would stop at nothing to take the other out.

06:14This situation became so tumultuous that it required an entirely new type of match just to settle the score.
06:21A three stages of hell match.
06:26Three balls of hell for Austin in the game.

06:33The regular match, it turned into a street fight, it turned into a cage match.
06:37That was the first time that's been done.
06:39This whole issue built on nothing but pure hatred.
06:42To put those two together created a match of just magic.
06:47Stone Cold has beaten the game in the first ball!
06:51That was really cool because it's not just one stipulation, it's three of them.
06:55Now we're in a street fight phase.

06:59There's a certain magic that happened with me and Austin.

07:04The search hammer rotted off to space.
07:07Now go for the pedigree.
07:09And that's the second five-guard ball.

07:15See what they're capable of.
07:17You've seen for them what they've done to each other already.

08:34Until he learned why you should never put your hands on the boss.

08:55At this point in his career, Triple H really wasn't wrestling that often.
08:59For him to come out of the Royal Rumble, this was a huge surprise.
09:03We have not seen Triple H since Roman Reigns sent him to the hospital over a month ago.

09:09He's not afraid to do whatever it takes to keep himself at the top.

10:07Triple H captured the World Heavyweight Championship once again, taking his rightful place atop the WWE Kingdom.

11:46I was only as good as I was because of Hunter.

13:25With the help of his mentor Triple H, Randy Orton evolved from a champion to a vicious viper
13:31that gained a lust for the spotlight.
13:32In 2009, Orton won the Royal Rumble and chose to face his former ally Triple H for the WWE Championship
13:39at WrestleMania 25.
13:42Triple H, I have taken everything from you.
13:48Except the WWE title.
13:51All bets were off, but the game decided to make a house call.
13:58Triple H, I gave you too much credit.

15:04was hell-bent on capturing the prize that Triple H held so dearly.

20:36but everything would come to a screeching halt in May of that year
20:40when the game suffered a career-threatening injury in the form of a torn quad.

20:51For nearly eight grueling months, Triple H put his body through hell
20:55to make it back to where he was meant to be inside the squared circle.
