00:42have a lot of traveling to do this summer so i will not be back uh i have a lot

00:50and see but i am back yannis is here here so here there's so much going on i'm wearing a

00:58because i was so angry at clayton mccullough last night for what he did with yuri perez but i wanted
01:03to wear a marlins hat to show everyone i'm a huge fan of what the marlins are doing you can
01:09be angry
01:10at mccullough last night for pulling yuri during a perfect game and also be hugely impressed by the
01:17marlins season and totally on board with what they've done certainly in the month of july in the
01:23month of june in the beginning of july here um i'll get into that i want to talk about yuri
01:28perez and
01:29and clayton mccullough's spineless gutless decision last night to pull him um here's a list that i made
01:38and yannis is official that he'd have welcomed him here we have a statement from pat riley like there's
01:44so much going on but here's just a rudimentary list of things that i missed things that happened
01:52my last show was june that was my last show june 19th
02:04so here's what i've put together that i missed okay yannis gets traded to the heat
02:10the heat say goodbye to tyler hero kalel wear jaime hakas jr casperis yaka chonis
02:16he'd get bobby portis and tim hardaway jr there's news about tim hardaway jr by the way that came out
02:23today that rebuts the news that happened on this show with you and gelb brady kachuk comes to the
02:34i have not been able to respond to that yet radko gutis is back with the panthers
02:42the panthers said goodbye to sergey bobrovsky i believe he was owed much more than what the
02:50panthers gave him i thought they uh duane waited him to chicago my personal opinion we'll get into it
02:56this is a list i've made that'll give us for the entire week to get back to some of these

03:02i'm sure you've already talked about but we'll kind of navigate the week um panthers say goodbye
03:08to aj greer evan rodriguez argentina cape verde i don't know how much soccer you've been watching
03:15i have surprised myself by just how much i watched that was one of the greatest experiences watching a
03:23sporting event on television that i've ever had i think everybody was although we love messy i think
03:30everybody was kind of rooting for cape verde yeah yeah i was cheering for mexico last night i don't
03:36know why just you just pick a side it was such that was such a great match too what was
03:42a better match
03:42solana cape verde argentina friday or mexico england last night i mean that's like asking michael jordan or
03:52lebron james honestly like pick a side i i think yesterday was a better football match a better
03:57soccer game but the cape verde story made and especially going up against a defending champs
04:05in miami of 63 000 argentinians and them actually playing argentina well and and it not just being
04:13like a lucky game that that had everything that was like you could do a documentary just on that game
04:20it was amazing that those whole world cup i fixed soccer while you were gone oh what'd you do i
04:26don't
04:26think it needs fixing i mean just put that in there but go ahead what if they if they want
04:31to make a
04:31little adjustment a little midstream adjustment backcourt violations once that damn ball crosses half
04:37half field you can't go back to the other side you know what that's not the worst idea in the

04:41bingo and i have to tell you there is nothing more frustrating than them getting i don't know 10 12

05:22group stage was one of the coolest sporting you know overseas experiences that i've had remember when

05:32that's cool or i went to uh england and saw a game at vitality uh bournemouth play um watching at
05:40a bar
05:41with swiss fans as they beat canada was super cool and then the streets became a party and uh that

05:49really cool being in switzerland for that uruguay la celeste they are craptastic i that's one of my
05:58that's one of my observations from the couple weeks that i've been gone like just craptastic that
06:04football club that is he found out they don't know each other they don't practice it's crazy how
06:13unentertaining and uninspired they now as you like as i've watched more soccer and more of these national
06:19teams like that uruguay team was just the most uninspired boring soccer that i've watched
06:27what else you got hock what all right we move on we've heard his feelings about obviously we're
06:33all very excited for usa belgium tonight marlins are tearing up mlb otto lopez and max meyer going
06:40to the all-star game ran into miles turner in switzerland there's aperol sprints everywhere it's a

07:57athletes ever if you consider competitive eating a sport which i do zach gelb and josh appell
08:04both did phenomenal jobs filling in for me while i was gone and today on top of all that today
08:14janice is official fifa has denied belgium's appeal to what's the guy's name baligan yeah flo baligan
08:24they've denied the appeal to reinstate his red card um whatever i i hate this unfortunately is a
08:37side order of today's society which is somehow everything gets muddied politically fifa has
08:47always been in the crosshairs of conversations about cronyism and um i mean from every day when
09:00qatar was named the host country there were talks of fifa being corrupt but way back before that
09:08regardless in today's day and age we live in this day and age where politics and politicians
09:15specifically trump they get involved in everything i'm not allowing it to affect what i think about
09:23tonight's match i believe if you put blinders on fifa ended up getting it right and that's really what
09:33you want out of sports are all are the best players playing yes that's what and and and one of
09:41the best
09:42players didn't do anything to warrant him not playing yes this is the that's where i like it's
09:51right in the in the long however it happened however it got there it's right and this world cup has

09:57great and usa has been fantastic and uh i i don't care about the the waters getting muddied oh this

11:37by the heat and yannis will be introduced a week from thursday that's when his introductory press

12:56bobby portis he called it one of the greatest trades in heat history says in his opinion yannis
13:02is a top five player in the nba he also discussed the difficult part of trading and saying goodbye

13:13i forgot about them already i'm sure it was very difficult for him that was very difficult for right
13:26so hawk while you were away tim hardaway senior was on our show and we followed up crowder was the
13:32one that asked the question because he was on a podcast with udonis haslam and mike miller the og show
13:37um a while back and they asked him about the possibility if tim hardaway jr ever signed with
13:42the heat would he allow him to wear his retired number 10 jersey on that show he said absolutely not
13:48crowder asked him the same thing hey come on let your son wear number 10 he doubled down
13:53absolutely not he's got to carve his own lane that's my number there's no way we're we're letting
13:58that happening um and today it's announced tim hardaway jr will wear his dad's number 10 jersey
14:05it was jason jackson actually who revealed it on sirius xm um like i don't know what happened
14:11it was mrs hardaway who put her foot down oh that's what happened obvious i mean anyone who's
14:21married anyone who has a child knows that i can say dj belongs at this particular school because his
14:31friends are going there and if mom says no he's going to that school because they have a better
14:38social studies program that's where he's going to school i'll get it on the head solana get ready

15:20mccullough pulls yuri yesterday six out shy from completing a perfect game he had thrown 92 pitches
15:27here's the context he'd throw 92 pitches but it was his third start following a month where he didn't
15:33play baseball because of a thigh injury aside from that the game got out of hand um lake bakar who
15:41they
15:41brought in walked the first batter then gives up two hits and then gives up a grand slam before there
15:49were zero outs so it could it couldn't have worked worse was crazy and then because he left him in
15:56mccullough left him in i think for five earned runs yeah and then mccullough's telling you and all these
16:01marlins pundits are telling you you know oh no this is about winning games this isn't about personal
16:06accolades i'm like well it's about winning games how about you get lake out of there a little quicker
16:10because you seem to be riding with him yet you seem to have immediately forgotten it's it's about
16:16winning games all of a sudden it was eight five ended up winning nine eight i may or may not
16:24have
16:24been rooting for oakland at the end of that game yeah i can see both sides of this you have
16:32a plan
16:33yuri already towards what he tore his elbow up now he was out he was injured you had a pitch
16:37count on
16:38him but also there are times in baseball or hell baseball times in sports that are special that we'll
16:44talk about that 83 point game with the wizards what did that mean to to the heat organization
16:51nothing at all but we're going to remember bam's 83 points for the rest of our life
16:56we'll remember a perfect game like we talk about randy damn johnson who i don't even know if he's alive
17:03still that's where you have to figure it out clayton mccullough that's like eric spolstra taking bam out
17:09not at the end of the third quarter but taking him out when he got to 77 points midway like
17:14letting
17:15him flirt with it and and the thing that annoys me is because you know i i had this uh
17:21argument with
17:21appell yesterday on text and he's like hey uh he's coming off injury and i get it i get why
17:30you would
17:31pull someone and by the way i would be okay with it if it was just a no hitter if
17:38it was just a no hitter
17:40i would be okay with them taking him out after 92 pitches a perfect game has been thrown 24 times
17:49in the history of baseball that's crazy you're not going to get that opportunity again when you're a pitcher
17:57i understand the concept of having a pitch limit at 90 there are no plans in the world
18:06that you can't deviate from in extraordinary circumstances and these were extraordinary
18:14circumstances in my opinion i looked it up yesterday i had to ai it you know how many pitchers
18:21have been pulled while whilst pitching a perfect game through seven or more innings
18:30three two three now three with yuri two in the history of baseball had ever been pulled in the
18:39history of baseball and mccullough was part of both of them by the way because he pulled clayton
18:44kershaw in la he wasn't the manager but he was part of that staff but i i just found that
18:50to be a
18:52embarrassing gutless move saying oh pitch count over 90 we can't have him do that i get it i get
19:00that
19:0099 out of 100 times you can become the 25th person in the history of baseball to throw a perfect
19:08game
19:09you got to get through two innings you're telling me that yuri perez if he throws 92 innings 92 pitches
19:17or 123 pitches that's going to be the difference between you making the playoffs or not sorry i i just
19:26don't buy it bad decision analytic analytics and emotion shouldn't be on the same plane and that's
19:34what happens where you're thinking emotionally about it you could be the 25th guy like come on let

20:40that's where people are getting caught up they want to explain it to me over and over i get it

20:47agree with it but wearing my marlins lid i'm a huge fan of what they're doing this season they have
20:56been an unbelievable bright spot they're flirting with the wild card they're probably going to be buyers
21:03so i'm a huge marlins fan and a believer in what's going on he made a terrible decision yesterday
21:11by the way mike mcdaniel made a terrible decision not scoring 73 against denver he did what mccullough
21:20did which was you flirted with something and for no apparent reason you just decided to bail on it
21:27mike mcdaniel that season was an exciting season
21:33he made a mistake in that game mccullough made in my opinion a huge mistake yesterday
21:40seven and three on the 10 game road road trip it's awesome good baseball
21:47i'll be the nerd here 95th pitch he messes up his elbow yeah but but when when when has he

21:56injured in the past 40th came off of injury i understand did it happen on the 40th pitch
