The Star Karnival Cuti-Cuti Malaysia roadshow wrapped up its Sarawak leg on a high note on Sunday (Oct 19) as thousands of visitors turned up to celebrate the nation’s diverse culture and local tourism.
Sarawak Tourism Malaysia director Rubiah Tul’Adwiyah Mohd Yusof said the event boosted the local economy and gave industry players a valuable platform to promote their products ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026. Visitors and exhibitors alike praised the carnival for sparking renewed enthusiasm to explore Malaysia’s hidden gems and support local tourism.

03:23Saibigi from MUKA said he attended the carnival to gather information for his next domestic trip.

04:20The Sarawak leg marked the third installment of the nationwide roadshow,
04:24designed to boost domestic travel and offer family-friendly experiences to local communities.
04:29In total, the carnival featured 74 booths, including 28 hotels and resorts,
04:3526 local crafts exhibitors, and 20 food and beverage vendors,
04:39contributing to a colorful showcase of Malaysia's tourism treasures.
