00:02It's a community event like no other.
00:06One thing I love about the show is just bringing the kids down and watching the kids having fun.
00:10I like just seeing all the craft in the rumble hall and just like the community getting together.
00:15Getting together with the family.
00:17Spotlighting the region's industries and giving the younger generation a chance to shine.
00:22Barbie, because she's my favourite character.
00:26We're teaching our calves how to lead as best as they can.
00:30I like walking around and looking at stuff and watching the cattle and the ball sail at the end.
00:38From some good looking roosters.
00:40We've got about a hundred birds in the shed.
00:42To races with a difference.
00:44At its heart a celebration of community.
00:47Artcraft, hobbies, cooking and more.
00:51There are thousands of entries.
00:53All backed by an army of volunteers including St John's.
00:57On the 17th of July 1961 we started here in Alice Springs and we've supported the community through thick and
01:06thin.
01:06The sideshow favourites never disappoint.
01:09Well I just like riding all the rides and it's fun, you know, getting all show bags and riding all
01:15the crazy stuff.
01:16And it's really, really good and having good fun.
01:20And the fun doesn't stop here.
01:22The carnival continues north to Tennant Creek, Catherine and then Darwin.
01:26It has no cycling here we've devoted them to St John in London.
