00:00I know how much this means to people.
00:02I mean, it's people's favorite movie,
00:04and people go to law school because of Elle Woods.
00:06Yeah, there's data that backs that up.
00:08How excited are you that everyone's wearing pink today?
00:10I mean, you have set a trend, guys.
00:12Look at that, yeah.
00:13I see.
00:14This is cute.
00:15It's like the same shade in everything.
00:16Real men wear pink.
00:18That's right.
00:18I love it.
00:19Absolutely.
00:19I will say Tom has a psychic ability
00:21to know exactly what I'm going to wear on the press tour,
00:25and then we wear the same color.
00:26Yes, I just have to tune in, and then I'm like,
00:28oh, she's going to be in this color.
00:30Is it the same with your family members in real life?
00:32Do you seem to dress the same?
00:34No.
00:35I would say no for my family.
00:37Sometimes, though, my wife and I are dressed similarly,
00:39and we go out like twins, not on purpose.
00:41He and his wife are the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life.
00:46That's very sweet.
00:46That's very sweet of you.
00:47Goals.
00:48Do you know what I just suddenly thought of?
00:49The Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake matching denim thing.
00:51You don't do that, do you?
00:52Canadian tuxedo.
00:53I think they're coming back.
00:55Yes.
00:56Well, I was about to say coming back.
00:57I'll just jump straight into that question.
00:5990s, what would you bring back?
01:00Because I would love to bring back the yo-yo.
01:03Just everyone playing with yo-yos in the streets.
01:05It was amazing.
01:06I think the yo-yo always comes back.
01:08Oh!
01:11Zing!
01:12Classic Tom Zinger.
01:15How good?
01:15What would you bring back?
01:16Anything you missed?
01:17Oh, my gosh.
01:17I mean, there's so much that happened during the 90s for me.
01:21I don't know.
01:21I like the Walkman.
01:24I think that, like, I love tactile things.
01:27I love analog.
01:28I mean, I have a CD player myself.
01:30But I think there's something really cool about, like,
01:32putting your headphones on and, like,
01:35putting, like, listening to something all the way through,
01:37like, the way the artist intended.
01:39Yes.
01:40That's right.
01:40Like an album.
01:41And the best thing was keeping it on,
01:42and then suddenly you think it's finished,
01:43and then an hour later you hear a secret track.
01:46That was cool.
01:47Ooh, yeah, that was cool.
01:48Did that happen?
01:48Yes, absolutely.
01:50Yeah.
01:50None come to mind.
01:52I can't remember any of them.
01:53It definitely happened.
01:54So when you signed up for this,
01:56did you think people know this word by word?
01:58Were you frightened or excited?
02:00Because this is an iconic thing that you're touching right now.
02:02Had you ever seen the movie before?
02:04Oh, my gosh, yes.
02:04OK, OK.
02:05Like, when?
02:06Do you remember?
02:06I don't know the exact age, but it's kind of one of those movies
02:09I feel like everyone's seen at one point in their life,
02:12if not multiple times.
02:15And I mean, I kind of went back and forth.
02:18There were moments I was like, I'm going to nail this.
02:21And then the next hour, I'd be like, I've ruined everything.
02:25But no, I know how much this means to people.
02:29I mean, it's people's favorite movie,
02:31and people go to law school because of Elle Woods.
02:33Yeah, there's data that backs that up, for real.
02:36Which is insane.
02:37So I just wanted to treat her with care.
02:40And every day, I feel like I got to work with incredible people
02:44who also brought so much love and care to their characters.
02:47So I think there's a lot of love in this show,
02:50and I hope people are able to see that as well.
02:52And everyone's notebooks smell key on point these days
02:56because of Elle Woods.
02:57I mean, that's just like...
02:58A little spritz.
02:59Yeah, a little spritz everywhere.
03:00I love that.
03:00We were just saying, the waiting room just smells iconic.
03:04Because you know what junket you're at,
03:06because you can smell amazing in there.
03:08And what about what makes Wyatt different as a dad
03:11compared to other dads, do you think?
03:12Because you've played a few dads before.
03:14I think Wyatt is...
03:16I'm leaning into Wyatt's goofiness.
03:18Yes, he's a real dad.
03:20Like, all those years of me doing bad dad jokes
03:22are just paying off.
03:24Oh, you were going method before you even knew it was happening.
03:27That's right, that's right.
03:28I've been dadding pretty hard,
03:30but this has been one of my favorite dad roles.
03:32Yes, I feel like you also get to see
03:34where Elle kind of gets her goofy side from her dad,
03:37because he's just the best.
03:39And I think as the season goes on too,
03:40like getting to see more and more of that.
03:43Like one of my favorite scenes of the show
03:44is what we do together in episode four.
03:46Oh, yeah.
03:47And there's positivity there.
03:49Like there's always like supporting and saying like,
03:52you know, they'll never get you, you know,
03:53don't let them get you down.
03:55And I think, you know, similarly,
03:57I, you know, give my kids that kind of advice.
03:59Like, I know it's hard, but you got this.
04:00Did your kids tell you what to do?
04:02And I'd say, don't do this, that, don't do that,
04:03don't embarrass me.
04:04All the time, they're constantly embarrassed.
04:06I remember when my daughter was like six
04:08and she was holding my hand
04:10and then she saw some kids her age
04:11and she'd like go with my hand.
04:12I was like, no.
04:13Oh, gosh.
04:14That's heartbreaking.
04:15It was six.
04:17I'd have my mom like drop me off like sooner
04:19in the school line.
04:21So like people wouldn't have to see me with her.
04:23Be like, drop me off here, drop me off here.
04:25Then just walk there.
04:26Oh, yeah.
04:27Now I feel bad about that.
04:28Oh, my daughter would make me turn down the music
04:29we were listening to.
04:30Turn it down, turn it down, turn it down.
04:32So it's a universal experience.
04:33But what music was it like?
04:34It was embarrassing, I get that.
04:36No, it was great.
04:36It was such good music.
04:37It would be like Kelly Clarkson.
04:39I was thinking like Blues Traveler.
04:40No, no.
04:40I feel like dads love that.
04:42No, it was her music.
04:43No, no, no, no, but that I enjoyed as well.
04:45It was a lot of like Disney, like radio Disney.
04:48What's interesting though about hearing this
04:49is I think it's a universal kid experience
04:51to like feel embarrassed and like wanna like tone yourself down
04:56or like not, like pull away from things that you love,
04:59including your family, to show that you're cool.
05:02And I feel like this character is gonna encourage people,
05:05at least I hope, to like embrace being cringe
05:08and embrace like the things that you enjoy
05:11and not like turn down the music.
05:13Turn it up, you know?
05:14Yes, I love that.
05:15I'm so pleased you said that
05:16because I just feel like I'm a cringe.
05:18I walk cringe.
05:19I literally, everything I do is cringe.
05:20Girl, I'm the same way.
05:22You're in a safe space right now.
05:23Yes.
05:24So what about your characters have you taken into real life?
05:26Is there anything that you've gone,
05:27I wanna be a little bit more L, a bit more Wyatt?
05:30Oh, I think I'm already pretty Wyatt.
05:32What about you?
05:33I feel like I'm pretty L too.
05:35I mean, I will say,
05:36I think that what I admire so much about her
05:39is that she always gives people a second chance
05:42and she gives them the benefit of the doubt
05:44because you know, obviously when you meet people,
05:46like they are coming in with their own baggage
05:50and we always jump to perhaps worst case scenario
05:54or assume that it's our fault or whatever it is
05:56and I like to think like, no,
05:58give people the chance to change.
06:00Don't be walked over.
06:01But you know, like I think nowadays more than ever,
06:06extending a hand and trying to see the best in people
06:10is the way to go.
06:12Put it on a t-shirt, I want it.
06:13Put it on a bench forever, I love that.
06:15And what about what you take from Elle?
06:17Like what would you take from the series?
06:19Would you take that you could have in your real life?
06:22I mean, I want to steal the dog, Bruiser,
06:25and his matching outfits.
06:27Ooh, can we?
06:28Can we? Is that legal?
06:29Yeah, he has a twin, so maybe you get one,
06:31I'll get, you get Bruiser, I'll get Cruiser.
06:32Cruiser, and then June can take Snoozer.
06:34Oh, there's Snoozer.
06:35Snoozer was a stuffed animal
06:37that we put as Bruiser's stand-in.
06:39He was very well-behaved.
06:40Sounds like the seven dwarves.
06:43And just finally, why does 2026 need
06:47L, do you think?
06:49Oh, just, I mean, it's kind of obvious, isn't it?
06:53Well, I think that, especially nowadays,
06:56I, it's funny, I have a lot of like young cousins,
06:58I have a younger sister,
06:59and I think about like a lot of the stuff out nowadays,
07:02and I, you know, you can't always watch it with them.
07:05And I think that being able to create a character
07:07that, you know, moms can watch with their daughters,
07:11you know, that's what we've talked a lot about,
07:12as well as parents watching with their kids,
07:15and, and a good role model out there,
07:17someone who they can look up to,
07:19but something that's also not like babyish, you know?
07:22I think that's, I just hope it inspires people,
07:26and helps and makes them laugh.
07:28Yeah, it'd be a nice change of pace
07:29from what's going on in the news.
07:30Exactly, and the snack to have alongside this
07:33is probably something pink-related,
07:34maybe pink wafers maybe, or something?
07:36No, it's the Ferrero...
07:38The Ferrero...
07:39The Ferrero...
07:40Ferrero...
07:40Ferrero...
07:41Ferrero...
07:42On that note, I'm gonna go get myself a Ferrero...
07:46Okay...
07:47Thanks, guys.
07:48Thanks, guys.
