00:01Well, at this point, unfortunately, it's a tale as old as time.

00:16However, you know, since like the industrial revolution,
00:19think hundreds of years ago, people were losing jobs
00:22because machines could do it better.
00:24And now the real threat is AI.
00:26And like so many other companies, Ford thought that AI could do the jobs of humans.
00:35And now they're saying, uh-oh, we were wrong.
00:39In fact, Ford has hired more than 300 experienced engineers over the past three years
00:46to strengthen its product quality after determining that AI alone
00:52wasn't meeting the company's expectations.
00:54Well, that's good.
00:55Yeah.
00:55They fired AI.
00:57They fired AI.
00:58They demoted AI and said, we need some humans up in this biz.
01:02I mean, they could afford it.
01:04Right.
01:05Nice, Donnie.
01:07Yeah.
01:07Many of these that were hired were actually former employees of the car company.
01:13And they determined that, listen, these engineers need to be on site
01:19because AI is only as powerful as the minds behind it, right?
01:23The minds working alongside of it, making sure it works properly.
01:27Many issues went unidentified or unsolved.
01:30And they finally said, hold on, we got to do the right thing.
01:33We got to hire some people.
01:34So 350 people hired.
01:36Boom.
01:37For Ford.

01:38And I hope more places follow Ford.

01:42And I'm not anti-AI.
01:44Let's be real.
01:45I think there are so many places where it sees fit.
01:48I mean, I work really closely with different ALS organizations that help try to find treatments
01:53and ultimately a cure.
01:55And AI is making a world of change in the medical space, not just in ALS, but in many, many
02:02areas.
02:03And that's great.
02:04That's great use of it.
02:05I even use it from time to time when I need a little bit of grammar help or something.
