01:01We are at this moment witnessing the homage that acting President is giving to the rescuers
01:10of the internationalist brigades from Italy and Switzerland. She is beginning with the
01:16dogs that are part of both international brigades that have been fulfilled in such an important
01:23role in finding people alive beneath the rubble. There is a considerable huge amount of people
01:32who have been rescued thanks to the effort, to the continuous work of these rescuers that
01:39came to Venezuela not to save the people but also to join and to prompt the rescue operations
01:47along with Venezuelans, local rescuers, authorities, ministers, people in general. Acting President
01:55is at this moment placing a medal into these dark heroes that also were such an important part of the
02:04team in finding people alive, in getting through the rubble and getting to those places that were hard to reach.
02:12Those heroes were the ones that were in those most impacted areas and were able thanks to them
02:20to save hundreds of people if not thousands of them from beneath the rubble. This is a remarkable effort, a
02:30collective effort that has involved people and rescuers from over 30 countries and in this very crucial name. Acting President
02:39is saying thank you to the
02:42you on behalf of the Venezuelan people on behalf of the Venezuelan people to the rescuers from Italy and Switzerland
02:47beginning with their dogs that came as part as well of the brigade. They are one another of them among
02:58all of those hundreds of rescuers that gave well their lives in finding life.
03:07So this is very emotional and emotional moment for the people of Venezuela and takes place precisely one week after
03:17the two powerful earthquakes struck the nation on June 24th magnitude of 7.2 and 7.5 that took place
03:28on June 24th that has had an impactful and an emotional

03:51the nation. Still there is hope. People are still alive under the rubble and there are rescuers that are working

04:13Venezuela and those rescuers that came here with all of their faith and willingness of helping a people in sorrow,
04:22a people in mourning and that is why Acting President is receiving one by one to say thank you to
04:31offer all of the Venezuelan people's
04:35gratitude.
04:37gratitude and Venezuela has not been alone in the midst of these circumstances in their darkest hours.
04:44Venezuela has had the support of rescuers that came here with the willingness of rescuing or finding lives wherever they
04:54were beneath all of those tons of rubble that fell upon thousands of Venezuelans.
05:02Thanks to their work, thanks to their efforts, thanks to their technology, the people of Venezuela is happy to say
05:12that there has been 6,000, over 6,000 people rescued alive from beneath the rubble. Every rescue that has
05:22been shared through social media has been received like a hug directly to the heart.
05:30And for everyone who feels Venezuelans as a friend, as something close to our hearts and everyone who feels the
05:44pain that Venezuelans are going through at this moment are also very thankful for all of the support, for all
05:52of the solidarity that the nation has received.
05:54You have seen throughout social media very moving images of rescuers saying kind words, only kind words to those that
06:04have been trapped beneath the rubble with a simple gesture.
06:10They have been supporting through words and through their very own hands, the life of one, which is also the
06:19life of everyone. It matters. Everyone matters. Just a few moments ago, we were actually in contact with our correspondent
06:26in La Guayra State, Madeleine Garcia.
06:30And she was witnessing the rescue of a man that still alive beneath the rubble after seven days of this
06:38massive tragedy for the Venezuelan people. So there is still hope.
06:42And that is thanks as well to the collective efforts and between the international brigades, also the locals, the local
06:52rescue teams as well.
06:55And also all of those thousands of Venezuelan volunteers who offer themselves to go to La Guayra State, to go
07:04to those most impacted areas, to lift the debris with their very own hands, to also ask to the private
07:14sector, to the public sector, to everyone who could have machinery.
07:21To anyone who could offer tools to solve. Let's listen to statements. I'm very proud of being here representing the
07:32Italian Republic and I'm very thankful for your warm welcoming of the Venezuelan people.

10:50Precisely eight days ago, Venezuela left one of the worst tragedies, national disasters that it has ever known in its
11:01history.
11:02But the pain, the sorrow, the mourning that is in our hearts, it becomes gratitude to thank to all of
11:10the people of 31 countries that came to support and to give life to the Venezuelan people that have needed
11:19it.
11:19We have had rescuers, specialised volunteers, specialised, that were able to work with Venezuelan rescuers.
11:32And throughout these days, Venezuela has become a territory where hope, humanitarian hope, vibrates in each and every one, every
11:45of our hearts and every rescue.
11:49Every rescue team that arrived to a collapsed zone meant hope.
11:54The operations of search and rescue continue because we have faith and hope.
12:01And those who have come to our country beyond their borders from very far away have been able to witness
12:09what it has been the feeling of Venezuelans.
12:13And here from Venezuela, we have as well launched the message, all of us together, that it is possible cooperation
12:22and friendship among peoples.
12:24And that message is a message of peace, hope that will prevail in our past.
