00:18footage is preserved and shared and to provide police with a single point of contact to reduce
00:25delays. Retailers also pledged to give employees the necessary time to support the criminal justice
00:32process. The capital accounts for approximately a fifth of all retail crime incidents in the UK.
00:38The Met also made almost 50% more arrests over the last year, while the positive outcome rate
00:44for retail crime, which is a change or caution, rose by 123% to 5,996.
00:53Matt Twist, the Assistant Commissioner for Frontline Policing at the Metropolitan Police,
00:58said the force understands that shoplifting has a corrosive impact on businesses, retail workers
