Ever wonder how athletes are getting back into competition faster? The old school method of NSAIDS, steroid injections and full rest actually prolongs the time for healing and it's counter productive.

R3 Stem Cell's proprietary Regenerative Trifecta is the latest technology that includes mesenchymal stem cells, exosomes and PRP. Athletes are recovering quicker, achieving a more complete healing response, and lead to performing at the highest level for a longer period with an extended career.

R3 Stem Cell has over 80 clinics in 8 countries, with 30,000 procedures performed in the past decade. Clinics are in the USA, Mexico, Philippines, South Africa, Turkey, UAE, India and Pakistan.

00:00So one of the interesting topics I was reading about lately, and we'll just jump right in,
00:04is with athletes and what's called soft tissue injuries.
00:09These soft tissue injuries for, say, let's say hamstring, let's pick on that for a moment,
00:15you know, they can be lingering injuries.
00:17And you look at the traditional methods of treating these, which is, as you know,
00:23anti-inflammatories, steroid injections, rest, you know, basically shut the athlete down.
00:31It's actually the complete opposite of what we do and what we found to be very effective.
00:38So if one of those athletes comes into you for treatment, what kind of approaches would you look at?
00:46So we like to look at regenerative anti-aging approaches, things that work better than a Band-Aid,
00:55like a steroid shot, which is going to get you a few days or maybe a week or two.
01:00But regenerative therapy actually helps fix the problem,
01:04which is so much better for the athlete and the average person in general.
01:09I like to use what's called the R3 trifecta, which is stem cells, umbilical cord stem cells.
01:18And depending on where we put it, sometimes we use Wharton's jelly with it.
01:22So umbilical cord stem cells with Wharton's jelly, exosomes, and PRP, platelet-rich plasma.
01:30So that is our R3 stem cell trifecta.
01:33And by using that and doing ultrasound-guided injections,
01:37what we accomplish is a rejuvenation and a healing of that area,
01:42not just a Band-Aid to fix it, but to actually fix the problem.
01:47Sort of like we talked about, it does a 180 on the approach.
01:50And, you know, when you think about steroid injections, for example, for arthritis,
01:54they actually end up making individuals worse than they were when they first came in,
01:59you know, because the steroids are degenerative to cartilage.
02:03The same way that steroids are degenerative to tendons, ligaments, and other, you know, soft tissue elements.
02:10So as opposed to actually helping get the athlete back onto the, into the game,
02:16the old school approaches are actually keeping them farther away.
02:19And whereas the trifecta is getting them faster back into action.
02:24And we've known this for years, but it seems like the sports community is slow to turn on the spigot
02:30of those treatments.
02:31Sure. And this can actually extend the career of the athlete.
02:36So not degenerating the joint, but actually fixing and repairing the joint can actually extend the life of playing time.
02:45So when you're talking about a steroid injection that could deteriorate the joint, and it does,
02:50and I've seen patients that have multiple steroid injections, and the joints just deteriorate over time.
02:56Sure, it's a quick fix, but in the long run, what you really want to do is fix that joint
03:02and extend the playing life and the careers of athletes and regular people,
03:08ensuring that they have a good quality of life.
