00:12But anyway, this first one tonight comes to us from the Michigan State Police.
00:16Troopers there stationed in Detroit got word of a car connected to a rash of serious violent crimes.
00:22And it's just been spotted. Here's what happened next.
00:27We're trying to get behind it now. We have lights on it.
00:30Michigan State troopers are in pursuit of a Hyundai Sonata connected to a recent homicide.
00:36The trooper attempts a pit and just misses.
00:40What do you give us priority is southbound, bird.
00:43They believe the guys in the Sonata are also connected to three recent shootings, as well as five armed carjackers.
00:50It's going 60 miles per hour, southbound, bird.
00:56Southbound, bird, through Pembroke.
01:01The lead trooper moves in for a pit.
01:06Southbound, bird, from Pembroke, no traffic.
01:09Several Michigan State patrol cars follow close behind.
01:127 mile, per state, 5 miles, light traffic.
01:16The driver cuts across to the opposite lane.
01:197 mile, light traffic, 22-11.
01:20And makes the turn.
01:23Northbound, northbound, northbound, 7 miles.
01:26Northbound, northbound, 7 miles.
01:29We're going 50 miles per hour.
01:33Again, the lead trooper moves in for a pit.
01:39And again, the driver gets away.
01:49The trooper pits him again and destroys a trash can.
01:58We're going to try and set the pit here soon.
02:01We're going to 8 miles.
02:07Up ahead's a red light.
02:08We got 8 miles in our future.
02:118 miles.
02:188 miles.
02:20And for those keeping count, the trooper has now crashed into the Sonata three times.
02:29The trooper moves in yet again.
02:34But the Sonata weaves from lane to lane, trying to avoid the pit.
02:39The trooper, we're going 95 miles per hour.
02:41Very late traffic.
02:42He floors it and runs the red.
02:52The lead trooper quickly catches up.
02:55When suddenly, the Sonata loses him down this side street.
03:02Fortunately, the other patrol cars are right on his tail.
03:15The Sonata hits a dead end and begins circling back.
03:22And is now heading straight for another patrol car.
03:28Two patrol cars crash into each other.
03:31And then the Sonata crashes head on into the trooper.
03:37And comes to a stop.
03:43So all three suspects in the car were taken into custody.
03:47Two guns were located inside the vehicle as well.
03:50One trooper was transported to a local hospital for treatment as a precaution and thankfully released.
03:56Nobody else miraculously was hurting that.
