00:15Yeah, okay. Cool.
00:38I haven't been to the dentist in a long time. Years, in fact.
00:42I'm not proud to say that, but it's just something that wasn't really in my budget back home in Australia.
00:48And like most countries, it's not included in Medicare.
00:52But since we're in Thailand and the cost of dental is just a fraction of the cost back home,
00:56I'm going to go see the dentist for the first time in years and I'm going to take you guys

05:58so is that like a an x-ray sort of thing um not same as the x-ray this is
06:04we call the intraoral scanner
06:07scan to see like your your real teeth what it look like so just like a video image like a
06:13video image
06:13yeah okay because this one even like this we still need to take an x-ray yeah okay so we
06:21just did the
06:21teeth cleaning and i'm not finished not finished yes but just want to show you before cleaning how it
06:28looked like and then when finished cleaning you can see the difference okay oh this is going to look bad
06:56so what causes the gum information is that just the plaque yeah so that's why you recommend you to have
07:03um floss to do floss every day to really use the platform machine yep i never floss i need to
07:10floss
07:12just once a day once a day at the night time okay and uh if you remember the front that
07:18i showed you before
07:19yep it's already clean here you see all the surface yeah it looks way better and this is before wow
07:29and this is before the treatment that's before before that you see here and here also you see inside
07:38yeah and after this is after
07:45that you see we do all much better yeah so that's why um this this area is quite like like
07:53um easy for the plaque to do
07:55yeah would you say mine was really bad for the most people yeah okay like four or five six years
08:03it's
08:03like this is okay yeah yeah um so normally we recommend every six months yeah yeah when you come every
08:10six
08:11months you don't have a lot of plaque and also the gums it will be you know better yeah need
08:15to come back
08:16every six months okay okay okay and cavities um for cavities um for cavities this one i already checked
08:24yeah it shows here um we will have to confirm by the x-ray because with this one we don't
08:32see between the
08:33teeth yeah with the x-ray it will show between the teeth and after that we will print out um
08:40the problem
08:41teeth and give it to you okay how many cavities that have to face how many teeth that has to
08:47be removed
08:48okay you all have the wisdom teeth four one two three four yeah the wisdom teeth is difficult to clean
08:54so normally we recommend to remove all the wisdom teeth yeah okay four yeah so we do x-ray now
09:03we do x-ray now
09:04okay the x-ray we will do like two types of the x-ray the first one we call the
09:11panoramic x-ray panoramic we
09:13see like the whole thing yeah and the second one we call the bite ring x-ray on the side
09:18on the side
09:19to check the cavity between the teeth okay could you please follow her and come back here again you can
09:25check the cavity if you stop it okay okay we're just gonna go do an x-ray
09:36okay
09:38okay
09:39okay
09:40okay
09:41okay
09:42okay
09:43okay
09:44okay
09:44okay
09:44okay
09:52okay
09:54okay
10:03okay
10:06okay
10:09okay
10:10okay
10:24at the bottom of the top of the top of the top of the top of the top of the
10:24top of the top of the table
10:53So this is the x-ray.
10:54This is the x-ray. This is the panoramic x-ray. This is your right hand side and this is
11:00your left hand side.
11:01Now it represents the left.
11:04This is what we call the five-wing x-ray.
11:07The five-wing x-ray, if you can see, we can see better between the teeth.
11:14And good news, we don't have any cavities between the teeth.
11:17No cavities between the teeth.
11:18Just on the top surface.
11:21Yep.
11:22But we can do like fillings and extraction.
11:26We do same size.
11:28Okay.
11:28Because with the injection, you feel numb.
11:31Yeah.
11:32The whole thing.
11:32So you can't have your whole...
11:33So we can do fillings and do extraction in the same visit.
11:37Eight.
11:38Okay.
11:38So it was one, two, three, four, five, six, seven fillings.
11:47Eight.
11:48Eight fillings.
11:49Eight fillings.
11:50And five extractions.
11:51Including four wisdom teeth.
11:53Yeah.
11:54Yeah.
11:54Okay.
11:54Cool.
11:56Okay.
11:57And when they print it off, will they include like the price?
11:59So I know how much that will be.
12:01Including it show the cost of the insurance.
12:02Oh, I already said that.
12:03Okay.
12:04Yeah.
12:04Just so I can show my insurance.
12:06Okay.
12:06Cool.
12:06Okay.
12:07Okay.
12:12Very good.
12:13Yes.
12:13Very good.
12:15So she only did cleaning for you today, but she also did like an oral checkup and examination.
12:20That's right.
12:20This is your dental treatment plan.
12:24So the price may look a bit scary, but whatever you get done is what you pay for.
12:29Okay?
12:30Okay.
12:30As you can see here, this is the tooth number, which you can refer to the diagram.
12:34The diagram elaborates further on, especially in this middle section.
12:38It shows you what each tooth needs to have done.
12:40So we have a couple of fillings along with the wisdom tooth that she recommends for you
12:44to take out.
12:46And then the prices is right here.
12:47Yeah.
12:48Okay.
12:48For you to keep.
12:55This is your receipt.
12:56Okay.
12:57See you next week.
12:58Bye.
13:02Okay.
13:03Well, that wasn't too bad.
13:04So I just got a full checkup as well as a complete teeth clean.
13:09Uh, I had a lot of plaque.
13:11And then she did two x-rays to see, uh, if I had any fillings or anything or any teeth
13:17needed to be extracted.
13:18All of that cost a thousand baht to get all of that done.
13:22I was there for about two hours.
13:23It was a thousand baht, um, which I'm covered by insurance anyway, which is awesome.
13:28So I'm booked in next week to get a few fillings.
13:31I've got, I think she said like seven or eight fillings I need to get, um, which honestly
13:38isn't that surprising considering I haven't been a dentist in like six or seven years.
13:41Unfortunately, I'm going to have to get all four wisdom teeth taken out.
13:46And, uh, as well as a root canal.
13:50But, the total cost of all of that, so eight fillings, four wisdom teeth taken out and a
13:55root canal, was 19,000 baht, which is about, in Australian dollars, about 800 bucks.
14:03Uh, US, it's like $600, which isn't too bad.
14:08Like that would cost thousands of dollars back in Australia.
14:11As I mentioned, I'm covered by safety and insurance.
14:13So it's going to cost me nothing.
14:15I get $1500 US dollars per year for dental.
14:20So, I mean, I'm going to be able to get all this treatment done.
14:23And then I'm going to be able to come back in six months and get a checkup and a clean.
14:28And I'm going to be able to keep doing that every six months, which I wouldn't be able
14:31to afford back in Australia, honestly.
14:33And this is just one of the reasons why we moved to Thailand.
14:36Because stuff like this, which isn't really accessible to us back home, at least not in
14:42our price range, is super accessible.
14:45And the dentist was amazing.
14:47Like, she was awesome.
14:48That was actually, her name's Nana.
14:51So this is called Nana Dental Clinic.
14:53And I think she owns the place.
14:54She was really, really good, really thorough.
14:56She explained everything to me.
14:58Uh, yeah, I can't complain at all about the dentist.
15:01So, if you're needing some dental work done, and you also want to come on a holiday to
15:07Thailand, I would highly suggest just booking flights, booking accommodation.
15:12Come to the dentist here.
15:13You get to go on a holiday while you're here.
15:15And you're going to save money.
15:17You get to go on a free holiday, basically, while you go to the dentist in Thailand.
15:21What's better than that?
15:22If you made it this far in the video, guys, I appreciate it.

15:31Have a good day.
15:32paling right.
15:33Well, I think I did a good job at that.
15:36Look what I'm happy and I'm happy and I'm not sure I'm happy, dude.
15:37Alright, I'm so happy and happy to come over with you.
15:37And I know that that's it.
15:38Okay, panunny?
15:39How bad can you get hold the teeth of the dentist
15:39and help you buy next time?
15:40Don't forget we're so happy, alright?
15:43Okay, let's do this morning.
15:43All right.
15:44And I'm happy.
15:44Has anyone been wondering what teachers provide your insight and finance app?
